I think students like me who study in the Katipunan/Diliman area generally rejoice when there's a new cafe in the area because it means there's another place we can study, hang out, whatever.
I was craving for something sweet yesterday when I stumbled upon Amo Yamie Crib (Gillian Gail, which is right across it, already closed down!). This is by far one of the cutest cafes I've ever been to. Instead of the usual tables arranged in rows or what have you, they have booths, which gives you some semblance of privacy. Really Instagrammable place. Too bad I didn't have a better camera with me.
There weren't that many people considering it was a school day. But maybe it's because it's raining.
The prices of the food are student-friendly. The star of the menu are undoubtedly the Fairytale Milkshakes. I actually found it really hard to choose! But I went for the Jav-Aladdin Drunk Dwarf (Php 159) since I was told that anything that has "Drunk Dwarf" in its name is a bestseller.
The moment I got it, I instantly wondered just how in the world I was supposed to drink it. Haha. Amo Yamie Crib is really generous with the whipped cream and the cookie pieces they topped the drink with. I just wished they blended the milkshake itself a little more thoroughly since I had to munch on small cubes of ice.
I also had the Lava Cake (Php55) which I was told is one of their bestsellers. It was okay. I found it rather smaller and I expected more of the ooey, gooey chocolate lava when I cut it open. The Cheesecake Flower Pots also caught my eye so I ordered an Oreo one (Php 89). It was okay too. A little bit dense but the whole presentation of it was amusing.
Not surprising at all that I got umay from all the sweets so I ordered Nachos (Php99) which is good for 2-3 persons. The ground meat had a nice kick to it and the salsa was smooth and easy enough to scoop into a nacho.
Overall, it's a good hangout, chill, study place. Though if you're planning to study using your laptop, Amo Yamie Crib has no wifi so you'll need to bring your own. Also, I didn't notice any sockets too!

They serve good enough comfort food and provide a cutesy ambience. As their name suggests, they have these "cribs" or little double deck cubes and nooks where diners stay. Some spots have chairs or couches, while you may have to slump comfortably on the floor in some.
If you're not that familiar with Katipunan, it might be a little difficult to spot the place. You first have to find Oracle Residences and Dorm (right across Ateneo) and climb up to the third floor. Amo Yamie is beside the Gillian Gail dessert buffet place.
They are still on soft opening and have limited offerings on their menu when we visited. We had nacho fries, mini bites (4 slider burgers and a side of fries), smurfy smores frappe, and original wizard oreo frappe. I liked their nacho fries and find it quite reasonably priced at P89, they are generous with the toppings, too (grated cheese, melted cheese, ground beef). Their mini bites (slider burgers) priced at P109 are also good and can be shared by two. Their hot drinks range from P65 to P95, but we weren't able to try them. We got the frappes which are priced between P119 to P169. I have to say that this is a good place for students who are looking for a good study and dining space that offers affordable yet comforting food and drinks.
No wifi yet though, not sure if they'll have it eventually...

Back to back visit at Amo Yamie Crib newest branch at Oracle Hotel and Residences in Katipunan.
Went here last Friday, the first is during lunch time and second is at afternoon but this time I was with my daughter Adelheid L. It's a mom and daughter bonding. I promised my both kids that I will bring them both here so wish granted.
This time I had a different order from their fairytale frappes , I had Once Upon Nutella for 129 pesos and my daughter had the Wizard of Oreo Cookies and Cream Drunk
dwarf for 169 pesos. The fairytales frappes had a very nice presentation. Then we tried also their pizza fries .Good for 2 persons. Lucky that the manager gave me a complimentary delicious mango meringue ETON MESS WAFFLES. It's their new baby here at Amo Yamie. Perfect combination with their milkshakes. You should try this one when you visit here.
There are still many food from their menu that I wish to try. For sure I'll keep coming back, not only for their food but also for the ambience and service. Can't wait to go back as I heard that they will come up with more cribs upstairs and a movie house.
A happily ever after Amo Yamie Crib experience.

I'm back at my favorite crib!
This time I promised my kids to bring them here as they were drooling when they saw the photo of my milkshake during my first visit.
Went here last Friday after I fetched my son Latrell Joshua L in school. My son really looks forward on going here. Once again fairy tales do come true as we're finally here and we're able to try their fairytale frappes! My son got the smurfy smores for only 139 pesos while I got the A Reese in Wonderland! Cool names right
This time we tried one of their appetizers, the nacho fries good for two persons for only 89 pesos. I'm getting crazy with their fairytale frappes, the presentation was so nice tasted so good and affordable ,service is two thumbs up as usual.
Another happily ever after bonding with my son. Amo Yamie Crib's newest branch is finally in Katipunan! Try it and your Prince Charming frappes is waiting for you there

Amo Yamie Crib (AYC)- Katipunan branch is finally open! Located at 3rd floor,Oracle Hotel , Katipunan Ave Loyola Heights Q.C. (Near Pizza Hut, walking distance from Gate 3 Ateneo) They are open from Monday-Saturday from 1-10pm.
They have a branch in CSFP & Angeles Pampanga, España Manila, Mendiola Manila and its latest is here at Katipunan!
Hangout and eat like a doll house like place in here. I've been hearing a lot about Amo Yamie but because the other branches were far from my location so I wasn't able to go there right away and thank God that they opened their Katipunan branch recently so I immediately check out the place all by myself.
Went there last June 1 and it was the coolest cafe I've seen. I am a coffee person that's why I really wanted to check out this place.️ it has been a popular place to hang out especially for the students or catching up with friends. There were a lot of cribs as I entered the place. It's really relaxing here, you can choose any crib you want to sit, remove your shoes and take an Indian sit and that's it! Very easy!
Fairy tales do come true because that day I was able to try one of their Fairytale Frappe! Got the Jav Aladdin Java Chip Drunk Dwarf for only 159 pesos then they will give you that cute round buzzer, it' says ..don't rush things coz anything that is worth having is worth waiting for ... You go to the counter when it light up and buzz, cool right !
Aside from amazing frappes , coffee, they have also appetizers and desserts , even burgers and pasta which Laos have cool fairytale names.
More cribs and coming and they will come up with movie house also, it would be better if you check them out too and have a happily ever after coffee experienced just like me ️
