If you're familiar with what this place was before it became Amor, then you're in for a pleasant surprise.

Amor is a bakery shop (Bread Talk/Breadery-esque) where you can order some dine-in food and beverages.

Bought some bread (Charcoal Garlic Butter, Pepper Onion Cheese) but I'll be eating these tomorrow so no review. However, as with all these self-serve bakeries and the display cases for the bread, there were a couple of flies that got in. (not good)

But my biggest beef was with their french onion soup. It was just slightly better than canned soup. I'll just leave it at that.

Last Oct 1 is my Dad's 60th birthday and he went out of town to celebrate it, so he had instructions to me that he will give me money and bought him food for us to celebrate it while he is out of town, I ordered him a birthday cake, decided to try cakes at Amor in Katipunan, this newly opened bakery where most of bakers were Taiwanese.

Lucky day coz it was grand opening when i visit them. The cakes were so cute, lot of cartoon characters were there. Decided to order this Pokeball cake. The cake was so good, not to sweet! Perfectly fine for dad's 60th bday. Ordered candles here. Then they have a raffle that time so I got free Amor stuff toy. Try their cute cakes perfect gift for loved ones cost around 700 pesos.

Pokemon fans , you'll love this!

Went to Katipunan last 27th of September late afternoon to fetch my daughter from school and before going home , we spotted this cafe who just I think in its soft opening, it's name is Amor Bakery Cafe!

The bakery was so nice and has a very cozy and modern ambiance, they were selling breads, and teas that time. That Bakeshop has two floors, decided to seat on second floor and it was almost full and there were nice seats and chandeliers over the place, nice place to read, study, reunion or gatherings even meet ups!

Had chocolate bun on a stick and wintermelon miktea. Price are very affordable and tasted good also. Will definitely comeback and the new hangout spot for all the students in katips!

Amor. It's like they were so sure the people would love them they named themselves love. Hehehe anyway, it works for them I guess!

I enjoyed my visit for the following reasons:

First of all, wow! This place is big!!!! The interiors are also very homey! Very hipster vibes.

Second, the display of the food was so cool and efficient. It's like a pull out drawer that automatically closes with minimum effort. It's also very hygienic, they provide individual trays and tongs for each customer in the front of the display.

Third, they have a wide variety of breads and pastries. I had a sugar doughnut, can of tough but it was good naman and the garlic cheese bread I got was good too but I think it would've been better heated, instead of straight out of my to-go bag.

And the cakes on display were so cute as well. You'll see different themes and characters! I hope they're as good as they look tho. Hehe

Lastly, my fave thing about this place is their own version of a frappuccino called a Frapmor. Hehe I had the biggest size of the White Chocolate KitKat! Huhu I wanted to cry after my first sip. It was so good! I think it'll be too sweet for others, but it was just perfect for me. 128525128525128525

It's really hard to decide what flavor too choose ah, because there is just too much choices! But I have a strong feeling they're all good. 128076

I'll have to go back to try their food. The service was kind of bad tho. After the cashier took my order, wrapped my goods, and took my money, she didn't tell me how I'd get my drink after. If I should just wait there or sit first. Haha so I had to ask someone else. She gave me a number, but then I still had to follow up a couple of times... to the point that it seemed like they forgot I ordered a drink.

Nonetheless, tasting my White Chocolate KitKat made me realize that it was definitely worth the wait.

I'd say it's just kind of pricey, but the serving is biiigg! For the drinks, at least. And it just tasted really good. 🤗

Ambience was awesome! Loved the mix and match of chairs, tables, lamps and stuff...! Gives such a homey feel...! Ambience is 5 stars! Main courses earn 3 stars simply because they're not fantastic but decent -- ex. Chicken nuggets, pasta... Creme brûlée was pretty good! 4 stars ...not too sweet. Must try are the teas. I tried the hot wintermelon tea with 50 percent fructose. Quite soothing...! Perfect comfort drink on a rainy night. 5 stars for the tea! Will try the house blend next time.

This is my new happy place...!
