Awesome Sunday morning!

Breakfast in Apartment 1B is just so hearty! 10084️ I had an early Sundate today with my Bf. He wants me to see the "ambulance" or should I just say "ambiance" of Apartment 1B. We are 20 minutes early, but I was able to get my coffee at their al fresco. Strong and robust! I love it!

At exactly 9AM, we are accommodated inside. The place has comfortable feels. Homey feeling because of fine lighting, sofas, paintings on the wall and friendly servers.

Its my first time, so I was kinda excited that I ordered Apartment 1B Big Breakfast 128540 (P590), it has 2 eggs (cooked at any style of your choice), smoked bacon, English bangers, Canadian Ham, toast & butter, home fries, and salad & tomato at the side. This meal is huge yet I'm sure that I can finish it. Hehe! #favorite. Its a busy meal though. I love everything that's in the plate. A good meal for first timers10084128521, also got my 2nd cup of coffee. My companion has, Eggs Benedict with Canadian Ham & Spinach (P360) this is also served with home fries. Well its good, as he finished everything too (except for the home fries)

Place: cozy ambiance. A nice date place I should say.

Service: other breakfast places, takes time to serve a meal. But here, its quick (5-8 mins waiting). Friendly servers. They even accommodate my coffee request, while waiting for them to open.

Food: its breakfast, its always the same good combo. The english bangers and Canadian ham is new for me.. And its good!

From a number of scrolls on looloo's list of nearby restaurants in Glorietta, I, along with my two picky friends (Hello Mila and Nadine!) handpicked Apartment 1b to host our rainy Sunday dinner. It's actually a gourmet restaurant that sits along the quiet streets of Salcedo Village, Makati.

There's nothing really much to say about the place. Contrary to the trend of contemporary and instagrammable interior of restaurants nowadays, Apartment 1b settles to that simple yet cozy ambience. Nothing much going on, only the rustic finish and clean white walls. There's also a sofa with throw pillows just as you enter the resto which gives the space a bit of a shabby chic vibe. It was pretty classy so to speak.

The food is something to look forward to when you visit the place.I am particularly pleased with their Baby Back Ribs. Though it seems to have settled in the oven longer than how it supposed to be, I love how it almost melts in the mouth. Okay, so I might be exaggerating on that note but all I am saying is it's one good plate with half rack worth of perfect tenderness. Brushed with a generous amount of honey bourbon sauce, this is easily a must try. Surprisingly, I also liked their chicken quesadilla. I may not be a fan of mexican starters but with a tasty tortilla wrapped around an even tastier mix of meat and cheese paired with fresh tomato salsa and the neautralizing brush of sour cream, how can I resist?

Generally, this is a resto worth trying. It can be pricey but in terms of food quality, you will get what you will pay for. Service was also descent though I thought the staff were pretty stiff. The place I thought is in desperate need of warmth and perhaps a smile from their staff can fill up this gap 128513 #justsaying

PS. With the exception of the guard who cheerfully greeted us when we arrived and willingly gave us directions when we left9786

Last time i ate here was for breakfast at it was great. First time to eat dinner. I ordered chips and fish first it not chips its fries and fish anyway the fries is good the is is lapu lapu not dory which is better , the siding salad if very good specially vinaigrette. I tasted the lamb shank for me the taste is short of what i expected but my companion find it very good. The quesedilla is just ok but in dont like the dip. The place is not that classy compare to other branches and its very small. The service is fast but bit pricey. For me i like this place for breakfast food.

Ordered the waffles... Large waffles but disappointing. Too thick and was not airy enough... The crisp on the waffles wasn't there either. No whipped butter (you'd think you'd get whipped butter for php400 worth of waffles). The side order of scrambled eggs were a bit oily... Not fluffy like they should. :(

The side order of bacon and my hot chocolate saved my breakfast..! Whew... Music and service also saved this place for me this morning.... Had high hopes because had an awesome lunch here yesterday. Ah well....

This time, my over php700 bucks or breakfast was NOT worth it. Could've been happier at Pancake House... :(

And again, flies in the resto didn't help.... Couldn't finish my hot chocolate because a fly decided to sit on my cup....bzzzzzzzzzz....!

Our bill was close to Php2,900, but it was worth it! Baby back ribs, pork chops (2 large yummy pieces served), white toblerone cheesecake and frozen pie with tea and fresh fruit shakes...! What a midday feast!

They would've received five stars if we didn't see flies inside the place. Yikes! So much for gourmet dining... However, to their credit, the New Zealand mussels were oh so yummy!!!! The sauce was something you'd want to lick off the plate or wipe with a piece of bread (must try!). I had the house salad as well which was refreshing (grapes, candied walnuts, variety of lettuce withe blue cheese and raspberry vinaigrette).

Would've tried the meats but just too heavy for dinner. Next time... But I hope they do something about the flies. Candles didn't work well enough.

You usually want to take it easy on Monday nights, well, because Monday. We were very last minute in planning a surprise birthday gathering for my friend, Helene, that meals were not planned out. By the time we got settled with the cake, food, and drinks, my friend Hannah and I went down to get a drink at Apartment 1B. Drinks are always accompanied by food in my dictionary but we had to get out of there very quickly to go back for the surprise.

I was pretty famished since I started my day late and had something to eat at 11:00 a.m., nothing after that followed, hence I was pretty much starving at 7:00 p.m. Why am I always hungry??? I’ve never eaten in this place because, like Alice (from Wonderland) am always late and in turn just try to catch up on the lunches/dinners my friends have here, which leaves me no opportunity to eat or drink but to engage in chika. Helene’s favorite is the quesadilla P350, Hannah and I ordered it to add to the food we prepped for her. What it is is four parts of a chicken quesadilla which appear to be on a whole wheat wrap. It is also accompanied by a salsa and some sour cream on the side. I found it a little bit lacking in taste, my taste buds are just probably screwed. Hannah also ordered a mojito P240.
I had ordered something fast, crunchy and easy to prep since we were pressed for time – Fried stuffed wanton P370. What accompanied that? A dry martini for P240.00!

I looooooved the stuffed wanton!! The order has 12 pieces of fried wanton, in it are cream cheese and jalapeno sitting on a carpet of marinara sauce. The crunch of the wanton satisfies and the cream cheese is not oozing out of the wrap. The jalapeno produces just the right amount of kick for these small things. You can easily pop them in your mouth if you were hungry like me or put in on your plate and cut it in half. You just risk wasting some of the crunch from the fried wanton. The marinara sauce is such a good complement to these fried babies. I found the martini a bit dry so I had to keep eating also. By the way, I shared my food it was too filling!!!

I’d go back to try the other dishes, it’s a bit pricey but should be manageable naman.

Wow. Where do I begin? Apartment 1B has made a name for itself not just because it's located at one of the busiest streets in the metro but because it has captured the hearts and the tastes of every customer.

Let me talk about the ambience - set like a modern-designed house with chill interiors, it's not hard to fall in love easily with this place. With artworks carefully placed around the area, the museum meets home vibe becomes gentle to the eye and to the heart.

The food here is amazing. With the order of their porkchop, my goodness. Two slabs of thick cut chops to go with fresh veggies and creamy mashed potatoes - this indeed is your idea of comfort food. My girlfriend only has good words for their mashed potatoes, she even remembers it months after we have eaten there. The Vongole which is shown here is their take on the classic to which they deliver. Al dente pasta, clean shellfish taste, and several tablespoons of wine - what you asked for, they gave everything and more.

Apartment 1B is definitely a must-try.

Had late lunch here on a Sunday and absolutely loved it. 128149

I could imagine parking being a hassle here on a busy afternoon and evening but we were lucky enough to find one just across the restaurant. 128076🏼

Their carbonara was so flavorful! It was really good and filling. It was so filling that I was still full until dinner time! 128553 Their fries were also very good. It wasn't oily and it was salty just the way I like it. 128539

Service was great too 'cause as soon as the servers saw our glasses almost empty, they immediately refilled it with ice cold water! 128149

I can't wait to go back! 128055

They have the Best Eggs Benedict EVER! I swear! It's cooked perfectly, has a taste of butter to it and all ingredients are certainly in harmony with each other you will feel frustrated with yourself when you feel full as you would still want to eat more of it! Delicious!

We also ordered the Apartment 1B Big Breakfast and it really is a big breakfast as my husband had a hard time finishing it. While the serving size was great, taste was just okay and I suggest you get the Eggs Ben instead. You can choose how many pieces of Eggs Ben you'll order.

This place is almost always full, especially during lunch time so it is advisable for you to make reservations in advance. Otherwise, you may have to wait for seats to be made available to you.

You have to try their Eggs Ben, all my friends love it too! 128522

Watched too many episodes of Masterchef US to say that the Eggs Benedict I ordered are overcooked (when I slice through the eggs, the yolk didn't ooze out beautifully--as per Chef Gordon haha) and a bit salty too. The serving is huge which should be the case anyway, as it's quite expensive.

The warmest person who greeted us was the security guard, who closed and opened the door for us. The rest of the crew hardly glanced at me and my companion, didn't give the customary welcome or thanks and goodbye upon our arrival and when we left.

Only nice things was the look and feel of the place which was relaxing enough and has a rustic feel to it.

Overall, not a place I'd visit again soon.
