One of my go to restos for Korean cuisine. They're now on the 2nd floor.

Late post...

Nice ambience, airy and casual but could be better ventilated to minimize sesame smell on customers' clothing128586. It's basically a conversion from a big old house.

Food was okay but not that fantastic if u compare to other similar Korean Places.

At least u can get unlimited side dishes and they give u free pineapple and cinnamon tea at the end ( as shows on pics)... Was thinking I can just hv unli side dishes with my rice ? 128541 .. Cheapest meal ever 128522128522

BU DAE CHIGAE11088110881108811088️ (on pic & not sure with the name )BBQ beef ribs with sauce , u get to wrap the meat in big lettuce leaves with all sorts of condiments like sliced raddish, soy bean paste, a garnish of leeks, sliced raw garlic and green chillies if u like it 'hot'

Why a napkin? Because we survived the meal without one. I had to swipe one piece from the other table.

I liked that the place was not so packed and smoky. It didn't look like a lot were cooking, but still. When the server handed us the menus i immediately liked the layout and that each dish was explained in a concise manner. Most of them were also accompanied by pictures that made it easy to select.

This was a spicy lunch with my dad. I ordered the spicy squid and he ordered a spicy beef stew that actually was. We've eaten in other korean restos before and their spicy beef stew isn't spicy at all. I enjoyed the squid as it was cooked properly. Tasted fresh. The appetizers were just ok. I know i've enjoyed better appetizers in other restos.

For dessert, we were also served sliced pineapple and cinnamon juice. The juice was refreshing! Didn't taste like binanlawan ng bigas.

The prices are reasonable as well. I would come back but maybe just one more time.

A personal favorite Korean resto. Lived just a couple of blocks from this place over the last 2 years and Ara has always been our default (veggie and meat) dinner stop. Their appetizers -- generous, their service -- warm, their barbecue -- tasty and their greens -- fresh and crisp. That cold sweet ginger tea they serve at the end of your meal hits the spot. Cant wait to eat here again!!

Usually they have really great food and service but today was kind of off. The kimchijeon was too fried up, the side dishes were not so good. The only thing that saved them was the bibimbap and the meats.

One of my personal favorite, this place is so homie that kept me coming to this place.

You might think this place is an expensive restaurant, but honestly speaking, this place is so affordable, sa mga free appetizer pa lang busog ka na hahahahahha 128526, imagine appetizer na meatball and pajeon??? Swag na swag talaga, and they also serve affordable set meal for 4 or 6 pax.

Another good thing about Ara is they have huge parking space and it is FREE hahahah, and the server are good, sa dalas ko dito, mga kaibigan ko na sila hahahhaha

Well worth trying it if you are in sa korean food. 128077

Ordered:
Bibimbap (Hot Plate) 250
Marinated Beef 480-500

What I love the most about korean food is the variety of appetizers + complimentary iced coffee and dessert. Anyway, long story short the food, place and service was good. The taste is similar to the korean restaurants in Subic, which is a good thing 9786

If you are craving for those food you see on Korenovelas, this is the place to be.

We went to ARA Restaurant on a typical Friday night to have dinner. The ambience is not that Korean but the place is spacious and accommodating. Their tables have gas grill in the middle.

The menu offers a variety of Korean dishes, which are difficult to pronounce, written in both English and Korean characters.

We ordered bulgogi or raw beef and pork for grilling. It comes with a lot of side dishes such as radish, tomatoes, sliced pepper, sprouted beans, spinach, and of course, the Korean signature dish, kimchi. The grilled meat and side dishes are wrapped with lettuce and ready to be taken whole. The mixture of these ingredients creates a yummy and fresh taste, which reminded me of by childhood in the province.

We have also tried japchae, sweet potato noodles stir fried in sesame oil and mixed with vegetables. It is equally delicious as the bibimbap, white rice topped with colorful veggies.

Dining in ARA did not only satisfy our appetite, we were also introduced to a rich culture and healthy lifestyle.

The place is quite big and interior is not really impressive but the food is authentic Korean. A friend suggested the place to celebrate his birthday and we had the kimchi soup which I loved..

The best part was the soju and the rice beer (?) that served as the chaser 128540.. It was milky white as shown in the photo and poured in a bowl so you take it like a soup. Taste was tangy, nothing like I tried before ..

I heard there were nice Korean wines also but unfortunately they were all out of stock.

Service is ok nothing stellar.

Ara is one of the Korean restaus daddy and I come to during lunch because it's close to the office.

Today our IT consultant was with us so other than the usual Korean BBQ and Japchae, the waitress suggested that we order an additional Kal-bi Chim (steamed beef rib). It was true to its best-seller label! 128522

When I need my Korean food fix, this is the joint. Granted, I haven't been to any other place but Kaya (NO) and Maru (OK), I never needed a reason to stray from Here. I'm a creature of habit so always order the same thing...seafood pancake, jap chae, kal bi, and/or bulgogi with lettuce wraps and all the fixins. Plus it's just down the street, kinda.
