Went for a quick snack here. The ambiance was fine. I tried their Mini Cheese Pizza worth P110. It reminded me of the plain pizza I used to make at home. So I was a little underwhelmed. Despite that, I have to try out one of their main courses to fully comprehend what this café has to offer.

Ate here on a lazy school day, and I have to say, I enjoyed wasting my time here! Haha I ordered the chicken breast with pesto (comes with rice), while my friend got the shrimp aligue pasta. I was very surprised when I saw the chicken.... It was fried!! I thought it would come grilled LOL pero it was really good!! It was a nice-sized piece of chicken with lots of pesto. The breading wasn't too thick either so I didn't feel that bad after eating it hehehe :)) The shrimp aligue is one of their best sellers, and for a good reason! I personally love tomato based pastas, and this one had a nice hint of aligue in every bite. They were also very generous with the shrimp, and the serving size in general. It's quite sinful if you think about it, but it didn't taste that way naman haha #pahealthy
Not friendly to the UP student budget though!! It's around 150-250 per item.

My favorite place to hang out in UP! Service is kind of slow, but they make up for it by being extra nice haha. I suggest the Shrimp Aligue Pasta if you ever drop by. Their Tablea Chocolate cake is good as well - rich, chocolatey, but not too sweet. Nice alternative to the more popular Chocolate Kiss or ROC. They have wifi, too!

DO NOT ORDER their T-Bone steak. It is one step on becoming a bubble gum. If you just had your teeth braces placed then this meal will definitely make your teeth move. On the other hand, their Oriental Beef Bowl was superb. Thats why i ordered it after finishing my bubble gum meal.
T-Bone Steak - P245.00 (loser)
Oriental Beef Bowl - P185.00 (winner)
Also try their Coke float. Good sugar rush for P85.00.
Furthermore...free wifi with decent bandwith and friendly, accommodating staff. Biker friendly place by the way.

The places that one can eat at in UP is definitely varied - from Area 2's Lutong Bahay to the commercialized Via Mare near GT Toyota. Retaurants in between these two like Art Circle Cafe should never be ignored though. Art Circle Cafe offers a relaxing place to appreciate art and to "muni-muni" or think about anything that might cross your mind. They have a pretty decent menu for food as well as drinks, which I probably should have tried. It was a good thing that I went there on a pretty windy day since on a hot day, they cannot offer an airconditioned dining place unlike Chockiss and ROC. I also found the pesto pasta that I ordered to be not as good as I wanted it to be but hey, maybe I just ordered the wrong item. Why not give it a go and feel free to tell me if it is indeed otherwise? ️

It took more than 20 minutes to just get my Arroz Ala Cubana. it doesn't taste good at all, very bland and dry! I guess the only good food here is their aliguq pasta.

I love how gooey the lava cake is. The American Cheesecake was great too, the cheese and egg were in the right ratio.
This place is indeed good for relaxation.

Thanks to Vinny L for recommending this place!
So my friend Yanna and I had a spontaneous lunch date at Art Circle Cafe last Thursday. We planned (more like vowed) to have hole-in-the-wall resto dates as much as we can while we can! ️
She ordered the Shrimp and Aligue Pasta (forgot the exact name of the dish) while I ordered the Oriental Beef Rice Bowl. In all fairness, they were both flavorful and very generous when it comes to the sauce and toppings! Wasn't really expecting a lot from this place but I am quite sure I'll be coming back for more soon! We also had their tuna pita appetizer and my golly, it was oozing (legit) with cheese! Basically, 'di ka nila titipirin.
Also, they sell the paintings that make up the place. You might want to drop by to check their paintings too 'cause they have a lot of really pretty ones!

Fresh air (or humid, depending on the weather) and art works (which you can buy!) surrounding you as you have your meal. A very quaint way to spend your afternoon.
Beef oriental bowl (4/5)
Chunks of beef sautéed with green and red bell peppers, onion, and lots of togue in oyster and teriyaki sauce. It tasted a lot like your mongolian beef bowl but instead of sirloin, it had tender cubes of beef. It was served with Japanese rice and the sticky texture of the grains went very well with the beef that's dry-on-the-outside-but-juicy-in-every-bite. The vegetables were a bit oily but were crisp and crunchy just the way I like it.
Lava cake (3/5)
It was a mini ala mode version of Purple Oven's without the hardened chocolate on the outside. Although for 115 pesos, I think it's really small. If you're looking to have your sugar fix with this, I think it won't satisfy your sweet tooth with its size. Flavor-wise, it was spongy and in the middle of being moist and fudgey. Its center could only hold so little of that gooey chocolate.
Place (4/5)
You can dine outside or inside the cafe. The outside part of the place, which is roofed too, is where you'll be surrounded by paintings of different styles and media. But when the weather is hot or rainy, it's better to take shelter inside their small cafe. It's air conditioned and has rustic feels. Although it can only host about 6-7 small tables.
Service (5/5)
Very keen on refilling your drinks, asking what else you need, waiting patiently for your order and suggests the best that they could offer. Service is like how your friend's mom accommodates you when you visit their house.

Still loving it! We tried the spicy pasta negra this time. And it was great! Like a pesto adobong pusit! The noodles were al dente and you can choose the level of hotness.
For dessert, our favorite molten lava topped with vanilla ice cream! ️

I ordered the Italian Spaghetti because I have been craving for pasta since last week. My friend had the oriental Beef Bowl. They were both great(plus the waitress left the parmesan on the table). We weren't able to take pictures because we were so hungry!
The best thing about the dining experience was the dessert! We had their Choco molten lava cake and it was just divine. They heat it up and place a scoop of ice cream on top! This item sells out immediately though so you better ask before ordering.
