A family friend's treat. Hehe.

Whenever we can't decide where to go in Maginhawa St., Artsy Cafe is our go-to.

That night, I had the Lasagna (P 170). It was good. There are times that I would crave for this. Kaya lang, after eating half of it, I already felt umay. My tita had the Buffalo Wings (P 200). I did not like it. I like my buffalo wings spicy and tangy but theire was just covered with BBQ sauce- sweet and spicy. I forgot the name of the appetizer we order. It was dried fish. I loved the sweet and spicy vinegar sauce that came with it.

We also got an order of sizzling bangus (P 220) to share (I know, kind of weird pairing it with my lasagna hehe). I was surprised that they now offer a variety of bangus dishes. It was good. I was surprised that the serving was huge. We even took home the leftovers. 128561 I think they used a whole milk fish for this dish. After dinner, I also ordered coffee (hazelnut, I think). I loved how they served it. It came with milk which was inside a ceramic cat. How cute!! But it was kind of messy, or was it only me 🤔

One thing I disliked during our visit here was how inattentive the staff was. It was annoying. We had to call their attention repeatedly. They even gave us wrong orders. And we were like don't even bother. Kami nalang nag-adjust for them 🙄128514

Place looks cool! We headed to Maginhawa for dinner and found this artsy cafe!

The al fresco area was cool because of the decor. But most tables were occupied when we got there so we were seated inside.

We ordered:

1. Crater Sandwich
2. Buffalo Wings
3. Fries
4. Matcha Chocolate Cake

The Crater Sandwich was pretty good. Ham, egg, and cheese sandwiched in a croissant bun. Tasted like Starbucks' Turkey Ham Sandwich (which I like a lot). The bun was soft and it was pretty good given that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg (around 200-ish). It was served with real potato chips.

Buffalo wings were okay. Not too spicy. Serving was small though.

Fries were okay as well. The Matcha Choco Cake was pretty bad though. Couldn't taste the matcha and it was pretty dry. It looks nice though. 128517

Service was fast and on point. With the awesome service, food (just don't try the matcha cake), and ambiance, Artsy Cafe is a sure hit! 128076

Artsy Cafe has always been one of my go-to restaurants in Maginhawa and to put it simply, they've always met my expectations in a dining experience. They have excellent ambiance, great food, and pocket-friendly prices.

However, my last visit was just terrible. I ordered their Kare-Kare expecting a feel good meal as it was a Sunday lunch. To my disappointment, all I got was some vegetables, bagoong, kare-kare sauce, and 3 small chunks of "litid" and "tuwalya", not even a small slice of meat! I called the waiter's attention and politely asked if there's anything they can do about my order as it was unbelievably disappointing. I had high hopes for customer service, but unfortunately, all they told was the serving is really proportioned that way. I still feel bad about paying 260 for what I got. :( Pls do something about your Kare-Kare.

They got a nice ambiance of their place even if it's small.
Nothing special for the food taste but still ok since I only ordered their Chicken Parmigiana. If chances are, might still try their other food.

Last Saturday me and my friend once again visited Quezon City's most popular and iconic food hub, Maginhawa Street. Our first stop was the Artsy Café since other restaurants that we were eyeing to visit were closed at that time.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Artsy Café lives up to its name. Its very flaunting interiors, brick whitewash walls, high ceilings with exposed beams, a picket fence surrounding its front porch, cute knick-knacks that accent the shelves in the back wall of the counter area, mismatched tiles on the floor and other quirky furniture & decorations surrounding the whole place. The inside also feels like Banapple’s homey ambiance. The entire café has this white & blue motif, it also has a distinct charm that seperates most of its contenders.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We have ordered their meaty Pasta Bolognese (P110) & the Katsudon (P150, I'm actually surprised they had Katsudon in their menu). Our food was served quickly (about 10-15 minutes, it gave us time to document the place). The servings are quite small for the price points, but the food was really tasty & well seasoned. Still we were beyond satisfied. The restaurant serves home-style cooking that is reminiscent of lovingly prepared Sunday brunches with the whole family!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
TL;DR: Artsy Café attracts the pseudo-hipster/yuppie crowd but can satisfy anyone looking for a nice place to eat and have good conversation. The entire place honestly made me feel like I was home. — #MaginhawaMisadventures #PaulyEats ft. 128583🏻

Maginhawa has been the ultimate destination for food lovers and wanna be food lovers or just hungry people alike.

It has continuously developed from one specific main area where a lot of establishments are already stationed to how it is now, wherein almost every street has something new to offer.

From all types of cuisine, this place actually has it all from you. From the comforting Filipino street foods to the crazy katsu chickens of the Japanese to all day eat all you can Korean establishments to vegetarian ones and a whole lot of sweet dessert places, be ready, you may find it hard to decide.

More than that, a lot of food parks and marketplaces are already blossoming in the area, offering interesting and new types of food that you'll go crazy for.

Given that, I still have a set of my favorites in the area including the following: the Italian food or Friuli Trattoria, the classic chicken burgers of Good Burgers, the forever college love for Crepeman and yes, I like Pipino, too!

An addition to this incomplete list is Artsy Cafe which I actually fall in love with the first time that I got to visit it last year?

My recent visit last week still made me fall for it again. Artsy in all its sense, yes! Artsy Cafe is a very pretty place where you can chill and hangout with your sisters, parents, friends, barkadas, workmates etc.

From the outside, its interiors have wooden like fences that gives it that rustic garden feels but they're in white. Upon entering, there's an eating area at the patio, probably for smokers too.

The fusion of colors wit the creative looking and nicely put together furnitures, displays and table set-ups will make you want to stay for more selfies and groupfies.

I ordered the Salisbury Steak and it was so good! The beef was tender, juicy and really tasty. Instead of rice, I asked for some Mashed Potatoes and was surprised when I saw how big the serving was! Yay! My order was perfectly good and I really loved it.

And yes, I shall come back here, again and again! 10084

Maginhawa St. really is a haven for gastronomic adventures in QC.

Hubby and I tried out Artsy Cafe this time in search for a more easy-on-the-budget steak. And we weren't disappointed.

T-Bone Steak - 127775 127775 127775 127775 127775
It was tender. Marinade was just right. Comes with a generous serving of mashed potatoes. The size of the meat was pretty big, the hubby was satisfied.

Filet Mignon - 127775 127775 127775 127775 127775
Melts in your mouth. The mix of garlic, bacon, herbs & some spices literally burst in your mouth at every bite. Loved it.

Fish & Chips - 127775 127775 127775
Yeah it was fine. I guess we were already overwhelmed with our other orders we didn't notice this one too much.

Ambience - 127775 127775 127775 127775
Loved the interior. It was cozy. Though a bit noisy because the place was packed.

Service - 127775 127775 127775 127775
I like the fact that the servers were not makulit. But they approach once you ask for them.

We only spent around P700++ yet our tummies were fully satisfied.

Definitely going back to try out other items in the menu. Heard their pasta dishes are also good.

After a weekday workout session, my bestfriend brought me to this quiant café just near her house at Teacher's Village.

Seeing their menu for the first time, I thought to myself, "grabe kaya siguro puno sila, ang mura na tapos sa kabilang tables ang swabe ng serving!"

I really wanted to try their Kare-Kare with vegetables and rice but then at the time I couldn't, so I settled for the Chicken Parmigiano (PHP150) pasta. We then added Kani Salad (PHP260) to go along with our orders.

Ang sarap! The chicken was not overcooked while the tomato sauce with cheese was not nakakaumay. I really enjoyed the pesto penne pasta tho. What a clever combination for the pasta then the Chicken Parmigiano on top.

Will definitely come back! This place is so worth it! An affordable café with dainty interiors and a hipster vibe. 128151

Disappointed. Interiors are great which is really inviting. But foods are not. Sizzling Gambas is too pricey but you'll only get 5 shrimps on a sizzling plate of buttered corn. Carbonara, Mojos, Kani Salad, T Bone steak? Nothing special. Too pricey as well. But their coffee jelly is great

Artsy Café is one of our regular restaurants here in Maginhawa. All of us in the family loves it, so we decided to eat here for the day.

1. Service 100841008410084
- The woman who took our orders was kind of less nice than she was before. She looked bored and it's as if she has better things to do than take our orders. The waiters kept bumping on my chair too, and some didn't even say sorry ;((

2. Ambience
- The place lived up to its name yay

3. Food 10084100841008410084
- Favourite comfort food yazzzz

*Grilled Cheese*
- I like their grilled cheese. It isn't too salty na. Dati kasi, nakakaumay. Pero ngayon it's so good 128076🏻128076🏻 It's served with a fries that taste like KFC's sprinkled with Parmesan. 4/5

*T-Bone Steak*
- The sauce is good, as well as the steak itself. My dad really enjoys it, since he's ordered this three times already. 3.5:5

*Frutti de Penne* (or something? Basta it has Frutti in it)
- My mom really loves it. At first she was disappointed because her red sauce seafood pasta was gone NA, and it was replaced with white sauce. But she liked it daw. Looks like she has a new favourite.

*Beef Salpicao*
- Again, if you've been reading my reviews, you'll see that I love Salpicao and I am on a search for the best Salpicao in the Metro. TOSH currently holds the title. But this one could come second. So good, ughahagahhhgj.

Beef Salpicao yesterday, Beef Salpicao today. Great job @ me.
5/5

*Blueberry/Cheesecake Crumble*
- gAHHHHHHH FAVOURITE DESSERT NO WORDS!!! Just pure love 4/5

Okay siya since imo mura yung food. Artsy will forever be my to-go resto sa Maginhawa yey 1008410084100841008410084

I continue to explore their menu and aside from the weird gambas, they haven't disappointed me yet. For today, I had the Vigan Longganisa which is a breakfast meal available the whole day. I must say that it can compete with the likes of Via Mare. Very flavorful and not expensive. Really really good.

Next week I intend to have the chicken wrap...

I enjoyed every bite of my Fillet Mignon steak as well as the ambience of the restaurant. With a hefty serving of sides and nice presentation, who would believe that this meal is just Php280? Artsy cafe is an awesome place with equally awesome food! Must try!!! 128523

If you're wanting a steak but on a tight budget, this is the best place to visit. 210php you can have one with sides already. Their beverages are also good to try without hurting your wallet too much. Prices starts from 50php en above. Pasta is good for sharing too. I had bolognese (170php) even shared it to 2 of my friends. Lastly, If your a bit fan of restaurants with good ambiance, this place will make you feel like your in tagaytay 128518128522128077🏼

A very good place to have a meal or snack. They serve very flavorful dishes although some can be so unique, it becomes some sort of a challenge. This time out, the unique dish is their gambas that they served with corn! Buttered corn; so, it's a bit strange for me. Their lengua and puttanesca, however, were fantastic. Couple them with their mint calamansi and house ice tea and they're complete home runs. Do try this place when you get the chance.

Located in one of Metro Manila's foodie hotspots, the Artsy Cafe boasts of quaint, light blue, yellow and white interiors, living up to their name. The service was exemplary as well - courteous staff and the food was served right away.

However, my friend and I were quite disappointed with the food we ordered. You see, before going to the place, we already had high expectations because it seemed that other friends who have visited prior to us really enjoyed. To our surprise, the food was mediocre and inconsistent. We started with a bowl of their pumpkin soup and it was great and flavorful. Unfortunately, we found that the main dishes we had ordered for lunch were not worth our money. The Creamy Salmon Basil Pasta was not a total train wreck but it was not good either. The pasta was overcooked and soggy, the sauce was runny and the salmon tasted like it had been in the fridge for weeks. On the other hand, the Salisbury Steak was slightly undercooked. It's a good thing the gravy that went with it saved the dish. As a result, we immediately got the check and decided to go for dessert in another place.

Hopefully, by now, their dishes have improved and the staff are still as accomodating because if you've got a penchant for picturesque, cutesy places like I do, then this is one place you must check out.

Han • gry (han-gree) adj
A state of anger caused by lack of food;
Hunger causing a negative change in emotional state.

Tried one of the nice and cute cafè in Maginhawa: ARTSY CAFÈ.

I love their selection of food and how they make their food tasty in their own way. It very affordable, 250php for a solo. 128521

What I really like about the Artsy Cafè is their interior. I love the ambiance of it. The wall designs, very cute. The ceiling, very artistic and the front porch area where you can take photos with your friends.

Now I know, why it is named Artsy Cafè.
An innovative one. 128079🏻

We went to maginhawa street tonight to look at the bazaar that is happening at the area, cars are not permitted to enter maginhawa street so we have to walk along it. Were kinda hungry so we settled for the first restaurant that we can see.
There it goes, our fav artsy. I ordered for tbone, this time the steak is too fatty. Their lengua is still good. Lemon basil is refreshing. Overall its nice to come back here again hopefully it wont be too crowded.
