It’s a cafe filled with vibrant colors, an upside down rabbit on a carpeted ceiling and sketches of random things. It’s a spot to relax and read a book or a go to place for hungry souls. The ambiance is dynamic, the service personal and their food worthy of a come back.

It challenges the word cafe with its full blown menu of seafood, steak and pasta. This is of course on top of unique and their own versions of desserts. The coffee comes with choosing your own beans plus other types of cold beverages.

This sponsored invite came after a visit next door, Komedor, a Filipino restaurant under the same management. We had a dynamic lunch but was still served a series of treats. Two salads came our way first. These were Market Salad and Kani. Both impressed on freshness and distinctive taste.

What was superb? The Fillet Mignon at Php 290. It’s a 150 grams wonder. The meat tender and soft. The gravy adding additional seasoning to an already tasty steak. Even its partnered mashed potato was worth filling my already plump tummy.

Another worth your while would be another beef, their straight up Bacon and Cheeseburger. Take time biting this American staple. It’s juicy goodness. A meat element, Lengua was also served and this one made with love. The tongue melts in your mouth and its sauce garlicky delicious.

Bangus En Papillote is a surprise entry in any cafe. Upon hearing the owners stories, this inclusion made sense. They culture their own milkfish. And this pride and joy of theirs is actually one of their best sellers. It’s new, flavorful and requires lots of rice.

My favorite was my last bite, their deconstructed version of blueberry cheesecake. Cheesecake Crumble or scattered has its elements on a bowl with vanilla ice cream. I loved it too much that I stole others share. The store has other cakes which we also indulged too- Strawberry Shortcake and Moist Chocolate Cake.

Havent tried the one along Maginhawa, but good thing with this branch it has a parking space.

So start off our dinner we ordered Calamari (Php170) the batter was good crunchy yet light. For my main, I ordered Grilled Fillet Fish (Php170) they used mahi-mahi fish good combination of greens and seasoning. Then my friend ordered Fillet Mingon (Php295), it was under cooked though so she asked the waiter to have it grilled some more.

Artsy Café now has its 2nd branch and it's still in Quezon City and even nearer my place. 128518 I've been to this branch twice since it opened and I remember having a pleasant experience during the first visit.

Last week, we went again for dinner.

🔹Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Yeah, I know I said dinner but I just had to order this since I'm still searching for the best GCS. While Artsy's isn't the best one I've had so far, this is definitely the most interesting/amusing. I was expecting a crunchy toasted bread but this one was super soft and fluffy! I liked it actually but it definitely would've been better if it had a stronger cheese taste.

🔹Chicken BBQ. A quarter of a chicken that's tender and flavorful. Loved the smoky barbecue sauce.

🔹Herb and Spice Bangus Belly. This is one of their Bonoan bangus specials. It was actually good and tasted very... 'herb-y'?128514 This is good for sharing.

I ordered the T-Bone steak with Medium Rare doneness; However, the first time it came out, they gave me a rare steak which is very difficult to cut. I had it returned and redone. It tasted nice though for 290 bucks. 10084

Food price is very competitive.

The place was definitely instagrammable. Their food was ok but nothing to rave about. The service was mediocre. I guess they were still on soft opening when we tried it. I had very high expectations because of all the hype I saw online but it really was not that spectacular. 128532 It might take some time before I go back to this resto and it's not a place I would recommend to my friends. 128529

Tried the mango pudding (take away). For me it is too sweet. I had to and ice to neutralize the sweetness remove some of the cream. It would taste a lot better if they will incorporate mango bites and and vanilla ice cream in instead of cream. I
