Persian food for lunch today at Arya's. I liked the beef and chili hummus. Totally different from the ordinary hummus served in other places. The beef and the chili added a lot of flavor to its nutty pastelike taste. The beef shawarma was just ok. Too rich for me though and hard to eat because it was open faced. The sauce was also a bit sour for my palate thoughbit was big enough to feed a hungry person. I also enjoyed he cinammon tea. Perfect for persian food because it balances the strong flavor with its mild and soothing scent and taste.

It was okay but too pricey. Haha I'd choose Mister Kabab over this anytime. We ordered beef shawarma, curry roti with yogurt cucumber, beefsteak and sizzling beef koo kabab. Out of four i like their sizzling beef koo kabab! I gave only 1star because after eating my mom got sick. (Watery stool, nausea, vomiting and fever) we are suspecting that their yogurt is contaminated.

Good persian food fix at reasonable prices. Servings are quite big. Nice service. We will definitely be back.

It's my first time to try this restaurant and I wasn't expecting to like it so much! I love their food! Try their lamb biryani and dip sampler.

The dip sampler is good but for a group of 4 or more, order an extra bread basket.

We also ordered their version of kebab sampler the sizzling koo platter. The serving size is good for a party of 3 or 4. Just order a plate of rice and you're good to go. Taste is good and reminded me of good ol Mister Kebab. :)

For kids, I would suggest the chicken wings with honey glazed sauce. The spicy taste of the usual Mediterranean fare may be too much for their young taste buds.

I accompanied a friend for a late dinner at Arya Cafe. I had no intention of eating but the food looked and smelled so good that I ended up having some of my friend's dinner.

I wasn't able to take note of its name but they were grilled chicken skewers separated by onions and tomatoes served with biryani rice and two sides. (Maybe the picture above can help identify the dish)

The chicken was a little too sour. When we order this same dish at their Promenade, Greenhills branch, the marinade wasn't this sour. So minus 1 star for that. But apart from that tiny hiccup everything else was more than satisfactory. Rice was piping hot, which complemented the chicken very well. They also served the dish with their yogurt garlic sauce in a squeeze bottle next to you which I appreciate as I like to drench every spoonful of rice + chicken with their yummy sauce.

For the second time around. Arya. We loved the LTO (livers, tomatoes & onions) over BTO (beef) which we had the last time. Saraap! Even my kids liked it. It was served on a sizzling plate (with pita). It was still hot when it was emptied. The combi koo kabab was good too! We didn't finish our rice again-- they serve lots. Their version of 'inasal' is big, it barely fits the placemat! For the second time.. We left this place with no room for dessert! (Was planning to try their desserts, but I can't na bec i'm so full already)

We're new to Robinson's Magnolia and weren't sure where or what to eat. We were choosing bet Lombardi's, Buffet 101 or Arya (my choice) i won over my boys (hubs & son). we gave it a try. we really enjoyed both the place and the food! surprisingly. we're not so much into Persian cuisine.. but this one has our vote. my order was the best (for the 3 of us, that is) Sizzling chicken koo kabab. I really liked it. But I wasn't able to finish it coz we already had the Rotti and ox brain and lots of pita bread. Then I also tried my boys' orders.. I just forgot their names but my son's order was huge! The one with 3 patties-- umm, chicken schnitzel.. Hubby's order was the lamb kabab.. It was okay.. Like caldereta Persian version. The BTO was good too, esp with long grain rice. Beef Tomatoes & Onions.

I've always loved arya, especially the beef and lamb koobideh, rice is buttery and the sauce (mashed tomato with onion and sour cream sauce)... Ahhh! BUT BUT BUT, i would've preferred the promenade branch than here, cooking is better and they're more accommodating; they even make the 'sauce' for u... This branch has accommodating employees too, i just feel more at home on the promenade branch, hope they fix their couches on promenade branch, it's old. Hihi.
