After our check up at Asian, decided to have some ramen for lunch since I was feeling a bit under the weather. We've been to this place before and their ramen is pretty decent. I tried the Miso butter corn while hubby got pho (they also serve food from pho hoa 128570). We also tried their karaage.
Food arrived quickly and the ramen was pretty good. Although for miso butter corn the best parin Sa kenji tei. The karaage was surprisingly good! Not too oily and the skin was crispy 128522 hubby enjoyed his pho but I am not a fan so I can't comment haha.
Lovely view of the river park while having lunch 128522

We wanted to try something new and see the light show at the riverpark so we ended up having ramen.

The place was your typical ramen house, nothing too fancy or special. It was just us and a small group. The service wasn't bad but the waitress could definitely use more training in explaining the contents of the ramen we're ordering. She seemed as lost as I was.

To play safe we ordered the Shoyu and Tantanmen. It was pricier than what we're used to and the serving wasn't that big. Flavors were just meh. Could've done better. Pretty mediocre if you asked me.

I'm always see this place every time we go to river park but never really had the interest to try it out. We passed by the other day and so that there were locals inside so we went ahead cos it means it's legit!
In picture is the miso chashu ramen. Quite good imo! They have shoyu, shio and miso bases and you can choose if you want it with chashu, corn, butter etc. we also tried th shoyu butter ramen.
Gyoza was just ok. Hubby tried the chashu bun (momofuku style), pretty good for 100!
Service was good, interiors were so cute too.
Total bill was 1000 for 2 bowls of ramen, an order of aji tamago, an order of gyoza and the chashu bun, not bad! Good value for money I think 128076🏼 will definitely we go back to try their other dishes 128522

I can say that I like the place, the view of the Riverpark in Festival Mall can calm your mind especially for corporate slaves like me, it wouls be nice to eat a good bowl of ramen and enjoy the view as well 128525We ordered our usual ramen favorites...Spicy Miso Ramen (P360) and another favorite...Gyoza (P160) add some Tamago (P40) and you are good to go! For drinks, two thumbs up128077128077 for their brewed iced tea...I dont order iced tea in restaurants if it came from the local iced tea packets. For one they are full of sugar, two they really taste bad and seriously it would be better to just drink water instead 128530 Anyway going back I had the iced tea because its brewed and really good (P90) 128513 What I noticed is that the service crew sorry to say but at that time they were not attentive and they dont look happy serving the customers, maybe they are too busy but I hope they will improve in that area. Okay so for the ramen, I like it because there's no difference with the taste of the Tantamen I always order at Ramen Yushoken in short...its like eating at the same restaurant. The Gyoza love it just same, but they toast the other side a little bit so I love that its crunchy! 128522So there it was satisfying but of course when you eat at restaurants you try to look for the "kick" or that "special thing" that will make them stand out. I havent tried the rest of the menu because really I am a ramen-gyoza kind of girl...so maybe I will still come back 128521

Cold weather demands a bowl of hot Miso Ramen and the view from their full glass windows will surely put you in the mood.

Eversince I tried Kenji Tei Ramen House and I have seriously been craving for really good Ramen and sushi or possibly anything spicy! So the past 2 days we have been stuffing ourselves with japanese food. Since we werent going to visit the area where I wanted to eat in,I thought to myself "whatever as long as its Japanese!!!".

Today for lunch and being around the Fillinvest area,my parents and I decided to eat at Bangaichi. I've eaten there before but this time around it felt different. It wasnt even as good as Ikkoryu,Ramen Nagi,Kenji Tei or the other Ramen houses. It seemed like they use instant ramen noodles sold at groceries and just add pork into it! The pork slices were good, usual, soft and big enough serving. But the entire bowl felt like a soup of MSG! I felt sick to my stomach after.

In need of another Ramen therapy to cure me?

This is a newly opened resto just outside of Festival mall and surprisingly i liked their Ramen :). I've ordered the Buttercorn Shio Ramen and Gyoza. I wasn't expecting much because i haven't heard of any reviews yet here but their ramen is at par with the others. Although i forgot to ask if there soup based is pork or chicken but i'm guessing it is pork. I can say that their ramen is on the top 5 of my list. IMO, much better than fukuoka. Gyoza was ok but they didn't served it hot. As for the service, it was kinda ok but the Gyoza was served late.

I'm baaack!
Chashu Don, P165 - its was just ok. But when I put the chili oil and jap chili pepper, mas sumarap na, hehe!
Gyoza , P160 - I'm disappointed . Nothing special with their gyoza ( mag tokyo tokyo gyoza ka nalang, mas mura pa ng konti 128540).
I like eating here though, the place is well lighted which gives it a "maaliwalas" feel. I usually come here for late lunch , perfect time to dine and also enjoy the nice landscape outside.

New resto discovery at Festival Mall area. Barely 2 months in operation is this Japanese ramen place. I tried their Shoyu Ramen (P280). It was ok. Not Ippudo/Yushoken/Nagi level so if you're from the North wag nang dumayo hehe 128540. I would recommend this place to peeps who are from the South, if you happen to be at Festival Mall area. This is in the area where Market Basket is. I took note of some selections in their menu( translation: I took a photo 128521), and prices for my next visit:
Karaage P220
Pasta P178
Yakisoba P188
Chashu Bun P100
Butter Corn Ramen P310
Miso Ramen P310
Shio Ramen P280
Chashumen P360
Chashu Don P165
Gyoza P160
I will definitely be back, coz I like this area away from the noise and crowd of the mall.

Last week, after a busy clinic day, had dinner with a resident. This has just opened last friday so we thought of giving this ramen house a try. The ramen is al dente, soup is so rich, and the meat so tender.... The tamago is also good. A must try.
