This is a medical facility dedicated to the well being of your eyes. I mostly come here to bring my Lola for her glaucoma and cataract. But I, and other members of my family, have had ourselves checked for vision related issues.

We've been coming here since 2003, when they were just about new and only had this branch. Now they have 3 branches. They seem to be set-up as a clinic in the US. It's like a mini hospital here. The 8th floor is their surgical floor for out patient procedures like laser surgeries, cataract removals, and cosmetic surgeries. The 9th is for consultations and diagnostic procedures. There are many rooms here where patients wait to meet their doctors.

Your medical records are placed directly onto the computer. I found it really disturbing when we first came here as the doctor would directly transcribe her notes onto the computer during the consultation. She would be typing away while talking to us vs taking notes on paper and having someone else transcribe them. It does make your records clean as everything is computerized and we've gotten used to it.

We came here to have my Lola checked not knowing any doctor here. Let's call it a leap of faith. We were assigned the best doctor imo. To this day I swear she doesn't look like she's aged at all! Haha. I was looking at her last week and realized that yeah, ang ganda pa rin nya! I was told she's related to an infamous First Lady. Anyway, we love her. She's very, very patient with my Lola and explains everything carefully to her in practical terms. We never feel rushed or made to feel stupid for all the questions we have for her, including my 86 year old Lola's inquiries about eye bag removal. I do believe that my Lola would be blind from glaucoma if we stuck with her old eye doctor.

I love that you can set an appointment and they keep the time. Don't you just hate doctors that make you wait for hours? They don't. I guess they need to renovate a few areas, mostly aesthetic. They have so many people working for them now - doctors, nurses, office staff, coordinators. That's why parang US set-up. The medical people are always nice. It's some of the office staff that need more people skills. I think they charge reasonably too. I only spent 1200 for my last eye check up, which included a doctors consultation and a vision test.

They have a great view of Rockwell. Looking out the window is relaxing for me, especially when the floor is full of patients. Sometimes though they forget to close the door during consultations and I hear their conversation. So if you want more privacy maybe just ask the doctor to close the door. They have Japanese and Chinese interpreters for those that need one. Parking is free in the basement of the building. Just have your ticket validated with the cashier. My 3G signal is always non-existent in here. They have free WIFI, just ask for the password.
