One of the best japanese places i have tried in las pinas. Their service is superb and their food is just purely awesome. Everything i have in the photos are the usual orders that i would always eat. I forgot the cheese ball pictures. Please order it... u will never regret it. They will give you a sample of it though as part of the free food while waiting....tsalap!!!!

I'm back! (After months of hibernation) So I do apologize if I'll be flooding your feeds with the foodie adventures me and my happy pill have been on.

Nonetheless, I'd like to start off with Ayu. It's this quaint little Japanese restaurant near Southville. After taking care of our requirements, we walked all the way to Ayu for lunch.

We ordered a couple of sushi rolls and of course, we had Yakiniku. Now the thing I love about Ayu is that they use a charcoal griller instead of those electric ones. It's less of a hassle to cook with (since there are no oil splatters and what-not)

Price-wise it was pretty fair for authentic Japanese food.

I love this place. I have been eating here for more than 3 years now :) I love their Chicken Terriyaki set bento meal and their Yakiniku. Their house tea is very authetic. If i want to feel the Umami effect I always go here and i am always satisfied and happy. Must try their yakiniku U.S. beef.

It's Sushi Day Monday!!!

And since I didn't have anyone to go with to Sambokojin I decided to take out from Ayu after my last class.

I'd usually give them 4 or 5 stars since I have never encountered anything wrong with their food but today was a different story.

I ordered my usual series of sashimi, maki and kani salad.

And lo and behold the kani sashimi was frozen!!! And by frozen I mean it felt like I was biting into a popsicle frozen. 128534

This definitely spoiled my appetite that I ended up telling my maid to finish everything.

Nonetheless the Salmon was still good.

Cute cheap authentic Japanese resto :) they have hits and misses! But I usually have my salmon sashimi and California maki delivered by these guys whenever I crave (they're near my place) I think okiniri has better quality at the same price but Ayu is more dependable.

Ayu shall forever be my favorite sushi place in BF.

They've got good food and good service. What else do you need? Oh yeah... Parking 128557

My friends and I had a Japanese Dinner after our first day back at school and it was superb! We ordered all sorts of dishes and everything was excellent.

I was kind of skeptical to try the Takoyaki after my horrible takoyaki experience at SM but Ayu has set a new standard for this octopus dish. It was beyond just good!

When you visit them I recommend the:
Kani Salad
Assorted Sashimi
Assorted Maki
Potato Balls
Takoyaki

This place is underrated. Everything I order here is satisfying. A lot of Japanese people flock here. I can't blame them. The food here is really good.

Yemyem C and I were supposed to go to Sambo Kojin to satisfy our sushi cravings but cancelled on the last minute due to inclement weather and the long list of chores my dad had me do.

Anywaaay -

On my way home I saw this quaint little place along Tropical Ave. I just had to try it.

I ordered Tamago and California Maki, Salmon Sashimi and Kani Salad. 128561 There goes my diet!

The food was great! Their Kani Salad was the best I've ever had! Legit Kani Salad Sauce + Legit Japanese Mayo. None of those 'pretentious' sauces/mayo. I loved that they added radish to the salad, it gave you this added crunch you look for.

The Maki and Sushi were up a level. The servings were big and it didn't cost as much. I was definitely satisfied.

In addition to the good food, you can also buy lots of stuff from their store! If you're looking for Green Tea Kitkat and other goodies from Japan - they're all available here!

The servers are really nice and I love how accommodating they are.

I'm not the only one who loves this place, based on the many laminated signatures they have hanging; Senator Lacson and Christian Vasquez enjoyed their time here too!

So if you're looking for good Jap eats, Ayu's definitely a good pick within the area.

Wonderful ramen place tucked away in the deep parts of BF. I was asked to join a midnight ramen run with some friends and I am glad that I joined. The shoyu ramen (they had another name for it) was beautiful. Noodles cooked to perfection and the broth is seemingly beyond compare. This place only proves that the best places to eat are the ones that you need to take the trouble to find and dare enter; none of that commercial, mall-quality ramen. This place is ramen heaven. The only thing though is that the prices are a little steep. A bowl of ramen will cost you around Php200 to Php280; but take my word for it, it is worth your every centavo.

Pretty good Japanese food. Some dishes a bit over priced IMO, but all in all a great dining experience. Will be back!

Authentic Japanese food with a real Japanese chef! Their Ramen is to die for. A little bit pricey but it is worth the visit! Very friendly and accommodating staff!
