It's not everyday that mom allow me to go home late just for this kind of trips. Hehe kumao uma 9786
And it's not every night that Kamikazee is within the reach. Haha 128588

Entrance fee if I'm not mistaken is 300php. We didn't get any drinks cause we didnt feel like buying one (weird lang sorry) and mainly because we're really after Jay's performance 1008410084

Anyway, can't say much but I loved this place. My kind of happy place are those that has books and artworks. 128525 Can't wait to come back here soon!

Love where my office directors bring me. First, Cubao X. Then B-Side / The Collective. Ahhhhh. 10084

B-Side is where the Flow Arts community usually hold their gigs - shows, jams and festivals. Watch out for their performances and learn a thing or two about the flow arts. :)

B-Side as a bar in itself is decent enough. You really go here for the show.

Around the Collective, you can find many artist spaces and various food joints like Wabi Sabi and the Wingman.

Throw it all out and party like your back in the lower east side... Basic selection of beer and spirits, some street food to help it go down, clearly the star of the show is the music.. Sunday hosts a full Raggae band and a draws an interesting, eclectic crowd...

A place that knows good music! Beers are slightly expensive and the location can be a bit shady. Don't bring any valuables. My friend lost her bag a couple of months ago. Another friend of mine lost the side mirror of his car which was only parked a couple of feet away from The Collective.

I love music (Who doesn't?), and I fully support indie music. Whenever I have time, I try to catch a gig at the Holy Trinity of music aka as Saguijo, Route 196, and B-Side.

Last Saturday night was the launch of the second EP of Your Imaginary Friends. They're good friends of mine (It must be said that we, meaning the band and I are indeed friends, and not just well, imaginary. Sorry, I couldn't help it. bwahahahaha 978697869786) and they make good, happy, indie music. Plus Taken By Cars played a set as well.127926127908

B-Side is a place where you can definitely kick back with friends, both real and imaginary, and listen to good music. No need to dress up; you can go in your pambahay and nobody would care. The airconditioned area is where the bands play. About 90% of the gigs here (regardless of what night you go) charge an entrance fee of Php150. That already comes with a free beer. Depending on the production outfit, it's usually either San Mig Light or Redhorse. Sometimes, it's just SML.127866127867 I find the mixed drinks pricey for a joint like this. A Jack Coke would set you back by Php225.

There's the usual bar chow, but in my years of coming here, I haven't really tried their food except for the french fries which were, naturally, too greasy. If you're hungry, you're better off grabbing a bite at the nearby places like Wingman, Calda Pizza, Kubyertos, Mochiko, etc. Most of the time though, people are content with buying from the fishball vendor outside. There would always be one or two vendors on any given night. Squidballs ftw!

A word of caution (this is the reason they only get 4 stars): If you go, please be careful with your valuables. Don't leave anything lying around, specially if you're drinking. There have been many instances of people losing phones and bags here. A friend lost a few days old iPhone more than a year ago and it was just on our freakin table! Another friend also lost her entire bag. To be fair, we heard this happened in other music spots, too. But better to be safe than sorry, right?

Beers are expensive though. I like their boom bop Fridays even if I'm not too in to hip-hop because they feature turntablism and other genres related to hip-hop.

Good for gigs, too. While waiting for the gig to start, you can always check out the comic store inside the Collective.
