Oh how I miss Vietnam!!

We chose Ba Noi's because it was near work and we didn't want to walk far for lunch. Plus, for some reason, everyone was craving for some noodles!

9749️ Trung Nguyen Coffee
Legit Vietnamese coffee! Trung Nguyen is one of the most famous brands of Vietnamese coffee. Ba Noi's serves this coffee either iced or hot. But for both, they give you this cup with their coffee drip! Once that's done, take off the drip and pour in the condensed milk, mix and enjoy! If you're having it iced, just pour the coffee into the tall glass with ice. Be warned, their coffee is very strong!!

127836 Pho Bo Kho
Beef stew pho. I prefer ordering this one as this has more flavor as compared to Pho Bo (beef). The serving is enough to make you quite full and the beef is very tender.

🌯 Cha Gio
I love this! The Vietnamese fried spring rolls were so flavorful and the sauce really compliments the meat inside. I also enjoyed the lettuce you can wrap the spring roll with.

Service was okay but they gave me the wrong receipt after I paid with my credit card. When I realized that they gave me the wrong receipt, I had to call the branch and confirm if the amount they charged was correct. Thankfully, the charge on the card was correct, but they only printed out a wrong receipt with the other table's breakdown. Strange.

Yesterday's quick healthy lunch...

Grilled Cream Dory Fillet - the fish was moist and cooked just right. However taste was not that ok. It's kinda bland for me. Per menu, it's infused with garlic spring oil, but all I can taste is a bit of saltiness and the char from the grill. This is just a 127775127775 for me.

Bok Choy with Oyster Sauce - veggies was 128076🏻. It's not too soggy and oily. Taste was 128076🏻 too. Overall it's a 127775127775127775 for me.

Service in general was good, however it takes a good few minutes before they can serve the food. For this visit, it's a 127775127775127775 for me.

Just a 128221, the place is kinda small, so if you plan to go there by lunch be a bit early, especially if you are a big group.

First time, ever, that I'm giving a very negative review as it is also the first time that I ever left so much food uneaten (photographed) in disappointment. It's the second time I've been here and the first one was really great. But this second visit is utterly disappointing.

The fresh spring rolls is bad - too sticky, way too sticky, and with very bland shrimp. There's nothing fresh about those spring rolls except for its name, I suppose.

Dry rice noodle is okay but nope, it didn't help me get over those sticky spring rolls.

Servers aren't so bad. Well, not so good either. They give you that uneasy feel, that as if everyone is waiting for you to finish your messy bowl so they can wash and be done with it.

Worst is their dirty, stinky wash room that I don't want to even talk about it.

Please, I hope someone improves all these because I love Vietnamese food yet there are too few of them here and now this... 128547128549

Whenever I eat at a Vietnamese restaurant here in Manila, I start missing Hanoi, real bad! 128555

Despite the hot weather, I ordered a bowl of Pho Bo, which is beef noodle soup. I didn't get the beef stew version because I wanted to see how flavorful Ba Noi can get their soup with just the beef and not the stewed version.

Ratings:
Soup - 11088110881108811088
Beef - 110881108811088

The soup was pretty flavorful. I would have finished everything except it was already too hot out. The beef was okay, but I found that it was tough and it didn't stand out.

Sad to say, my craving for Vietnamese Pho wasn't fully satisfied. Someone please take me back to Hanoi! 128514

Feel good Vietnamese food near the office. One of the default places to hit up for lunch when i cant think of anywhere else. 128522

You can always expect good food and quick service here, granted it may be a bit expensive (P200-P300 for a meal). I highly suggest trying their pho, spring rolls, dry noodles dishes topped with chicken curry, and my personal favorite, the sauteed beef tenderloin cubes. 128077

Feel good late lunch at this place. Nothings beats a hot bowl of pho to soothe the grumbling tummy. This time I chose the seafood variety. This is much better than the chicken pho which tasted malansa last time. The broth is good, the noodles firm. The shrimp added a lot of flavor but the squid was a bit chewy but still ok. Most of all I was able to enjoy it spicy without the sour sriracha taste because it comes with chopped chili on the side.

This Banh Xeo is something new to me. My Usual orders are the usual orders - pho and pomelo salad but not last night. Technically the Banh Xeo is a savory crepe with sauteed shrimp, pork and i think almost a kilo of bean sprouts. I kid! That was quite a serving of bean sprouts!!! I expected the crepe to be soft but this was crispy. What brings it to life is the Nuoc Mam sauce which tastes like a fish sauce with some chilis and carrots. I incorporated the salad beside it and it was a good mix of greens and protein. It was worth P270.

Pale and light beers are sold as buy one take one from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. I think at P65 per order.

Loved this chicken curry atop rice noodles! Yeah, forgot the name of this but I really loved it! It packed some good heat but just the right amount to not let me sniffle. It was very flavorful and I found the chicken to be very tender. Good for either merienda or cold nights. 128523

My friend and I wanted to try this place since it just located in Makati. The place is full especially at night so you need to be there early. We had Pho Ga (Vietnamese chicken noodle soup) the broth is really good, rich in flavor. Cha Gio (fried spring rolls) is delicious, you can never go wrong with this. Suon Nuong Xa (pork riblets) the pork is yummy and tender. Slow service, you need to follow up your orders, but the food was great.

There is actually a lack of good Vietnamese restaurants in Manila a few years back. Yes, Pho Hoa does not count. Hahaha!

Luckily, we are now blessed with 2 good ones, Bawai’s and Ba Noi’s. Ever since the NBW girls raved about Ba Noi’s, I got the FOMO bug. 128517

I could not convince my family to try this place as they’re quite picky with food. Plus, parking is very limited in the area. (Tip: park in Greenbelt 5 and just walk to the restaurant.)

The only person I can convince? My boyfriend. Hahaha! I’m so lucky that K gives in all the time when I want something. Hehehe.128517

I dined here one Friday with K and my friend. It was quite an early dinner, so we were the only ones who were there that time. One thing that I noticed is that the place is quite dimly lit, and I think it needs renovations already.

We ordered the following:

Goi Cuon (Fresh Spring Rolls) - Three rolls of pork, shrimp, and vermicelli wrapped in rice paper. Words can’t describe how much I love fresh spring rolls! I don’t feel guilty after consuming this. I used to love peanut sauce, but ever since my Vietnamese officemate sold us her spring rolls with their own vinegar-patis-chili sauce, I just can’t take the peanut sauce anymore. It’s a bit overpowering for me. I hope they consider serving vinegar with spring rolls soon as it gives the whole thing a fresher taste.

Pho Bo (Beef Pho) – this one is very comforting! I make sure to squeeze the lime to bring out the flavors. This is something that I would want to have when it’s rainy.

Banh Xeo (Crepe with pork, shrimp, bean sprouts) – this was just okay for me, a bit too oily for my liking.

Bun Bo Kho (Beef Stew over dry rice noodles) – K ordered this one, and it was good. I did not appreciate it that much though because I was so full from the spring rolls and pho.

Now I know why the NBW girls love this restaurant. Will come back if I’m craving for something light and healthy!128588🏻

Dastine S was lucky to have the whole APEC week off (perks of working for the government 128517) so she visited me, Julie J and Yina M in Makati for our weekly (or sometimes daily, lelz) NB lunch. We chose to meet at Ba Noi's. #suki 128513

I was too lazy to think of what I want to eat so I just ordered a bowl of Pho Ga again! 128514 At least the noodles wasn't hard and cold when it was served. Loved the bean sprouts but it sucks that I cannot put chili. 128542

Julie also ordered Bong Cai Xao Toi, which basically is sauteed fresh spring vegetables. This is their version of chopsuey. It was very tasty! I liked the generous fried garlic sprinkled on top coz it adds so much flavor to the dish. I can order this with rice next time if I'm not in the mood to have noodles. 128077🏼

This restaurant remains to be my favorite go to place to satisfy my cravings for Vietnamese food. Never fails to make my tummy full and happy. 128523

I was supposed to eat at Pepi Cubano with Kirby G but we couldn't find empty seats so we looked for other restaurant options nearby. Spotted Ba Noi's but they were also full. Luckily, a group of customers just finished billing out when we were about to leave so we were able to get the table they vacated.

I had my favorite Pho Ga (chicken noodle soup served with bean sprouts, lime, fermented soybean paste and chili on the side) and shared an order of Fresh Spring Rolls with Kirbs. Usually service here is fast, but it was pretty slow this time. 🙁Kirbs already got his food and I still don't have mine. When my order arrived, the noodles were still cold and hard. Had to leave it soaked in the broth for a few more minutes to make it al dente.

The spring rolls were so good, as always. Fresh, full of filling, and best with their yummy peanut dipping sauce. 128077🏼

Used to frequent Ba Noi's when it was still a little farther down Perea St but this visit was my first after they relocated.

No complaints re the food and service which is the why I gave 3 stars. Food was delicious! Service was quick and staff were friendly. What really turned me off tho was the bathroom - filthy. Since it was packed they may have overlooked it but it was reason enough for me not to go back.

Located at quaint Perea St. in Legaspi Village, Ba Noi's is a paradise for noodle lovers. As first-timers, we immediately compared Ba Noi's with the more common Pho Hoa and Pho Bac. Each has its own specialty and version of the Pho. Ba Noi's has perhaps the best Pho that we have tried.

To start off our lunch meal, we ordered Gui Cuon (fresh spring roll) with peanut sauce. It's a simple but very filling delight and yes, I think it's perfect with Ba Noi's garlic bread.

We got the Pho Bo Kho which is just superb! Pho Bo Kho differs from the usual Pho Bo such that Pho Bo Kho is more flavorful as it is served as a stew. Noodles are thick and heavy, but very firm and flavorful. What we really appreciated was how the beef was prepared. Never have I enjoyed beef in a stew this way - so soft and firm, but never difficult to bite. This would be Ba Noi's edge over other Vietnamese restos, and even perhaps with other Asian foodie places.

Oh, the menu here at the looloo app needs updating as there are some new dishes in the actual menu. Updates on food prices are also reflected on the new menu.

Dining was simply a delight, as not only the food was good but the service as well! We will definitely come back to try other great stuff!

Had a dinner here with some of my friends about 2 weeks ago. They actually suggested this place although I really wanted to have some ribs or chicken! 128517 We called the restaurant ahead of time just in case their branch in Makati was also closed for rennovation, and thank God they're not! 128513

This branch is a bit smaller than their branch in Kapitolyo so I was actually surprised that it's not really packed when we arrived at around 8:30pm.

We had Cha Gio, Goi Cuon, Pho Bo, Pho Ga, Bun Ca Ri Ga, and Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong. We also tried the lava cake for dessert.

Cha Gio (Fried spring rolls) and Goi Cuon (Fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce) are all good as always, and my friends like it too especially the fresh spring rolls! My friend had the Bun Ca Ri Ga (Chicken Curry over Rice Noodles) and he liked it too. It's the first time I tried Bun Cha Guo Thit Nuong (Rice Noodles with Grilled Pork and Fried Spring Rolls) and liked it mainly because of the toppings of the dish; that includes the savory grilled pork and their fried spring rolls.

My friends who had the noodles had mixed feelings with their dishes. They said it's good but somehow "nakakaumay" as soon as you finish it. I rarely try the Vietnamese noodles because I had the same experience too which I think wasn't really bad at all.

Then we had the lava cake for dessert that has 2 scoops of Nestlé Ice cream on top and caramel sauce to add some flavor. It's actually good although this could still be improved in a span of time. We aso noticed that they're not serving Banh Mi anymore for some reasons we didn't ask anymore.

Overall, the food was good and it's reasonably priced! This is definitely my go-to place for some Vietnamese food fix!

Shrimp and pomelo salad, beef stew, pork riblets, and a cup of their afternoon blend Vietnamese coffee. I liked them all. Surprised to find slivers of coconut in the salad. Loved the pomelo which were sweet and juicy. Beef stew was warm and hearty, perfect for a cold and rainy evening like tonight. Pork riblets were so thin they almost seemed like bacon. As expected, the coffee is strong. The afternoon blend had a caramel and nutty flavor.

We had a bit of difficulty finding the place and ended up circling a couple of blocks to get back to Perea (this is after all the land of one-way streets). I called the restaurant as we turned the corner to Dela Rosa and the staff clarified that they are just beside Mom and Tina's and in front of Shang Tower. There was a group of Vietnamese dining inside. I find it a good indication of authenticity when the nationals patronize a restaurant offering their home cuisine.

One of our favorite restos for our weekly NB lunch. Yina M Kirby G Julie J and I met up here weeks before I left for my Holy Week getaway. Of course, we had an order of Fresh Spring Rolls served with an uber yummy peanut dip. We each had a bowl of Pho except for Julie who had the pomelo salad and a veggie dish.

I opted for the Pho Ga or the Vietnamese Chicken Noodle Soup. Loved it! I usually prefer clear soup than the creamy/ thick ones. Broth was light yet flavorful. Noodles and greens were fresh. Tastes legit. 128523
