Craving for coffee that's something different from Starbucks is a reason why i decided to go to this place. The interior from the outside really looks good. They occupy the corner of scout fernandez and usually corner lots got a really good interior.-- that's not true for this cafe.

Vietnamese theme--as in old type. Hues of Brown and white are their colors inside.
128204 hot latte
It's super hot. Contained in a heat inducing mug so when you hold the mug instantly you'll quickly absorb the heat--i think is a fail. It's so hot i could not finish it immediately--would probably take me 45 mins to do so. It tastes nothing special. Probably a bit better than 7/11's.

128204128525 brownie fudge
I liked this one. Though looking ordinary in the display, it's rich and moist inside. The walnuts were good.

The air conditioning kinda sucks. Tumutulo pa pawis ko. The place is two story with a considerable old CR on the second floor. Watch out as you go to the second floor... There's a scary part of the stair which is made of glass in which you don't know if it can support you. Half part of the first floor is what the second floor can accommodate. I think there are more seats outside compared to the first floor. If you want the best lighting and view and air conditioning, sit at the corner inside the shop away from the stairs (which is currently occupied.128553)

There's a good wifi source here though but i cannot see any power outlet. Ambiance is pretty warm because of the lighting but right now without music can be a dry experience. Flies are present which i finally can make up my mind to give it a low 2. At least i got one cafe in my list crossed out. 128527

I am the type of person who loves spending a lot of time in coffee shops. It's almost a way of life. There is something comforting about having my coffee moments in coffee shops and I always find myself parking myself in there for hours having my brew alone, or with friends. The atmosphere is very important for me when considering which coffee shops I should stay in. Great coffee only comes next to the ambiance.

It was my first time to set foot in Baang Coffee with friends. The coffee is fine, we had ice blended coffee which tasted fine. They had nice interior, cozy and comfy place and a laid back veranda where smokers can stay.

The only thing I didn't like is that their WiFi wasn't working during our visit, but i'll let it pass. 128541

Oh and btw, incase you're a fan of Popoy and Basha, I was also told that it was where their movie A Second Chance shoot the coffee shop scene of Popoy (John Lloyd Cruz) and Ara (Arci Muñoz).

One of the restaurant-cafes I usually see in the area but never tried because it did not look interesting. On my way back to the clinic after I ate in Mr Graham's, I made that random decision of checking their cakes out.

They only had two cakes that time, carrot cake and earl grey chocolate mousse. Got the latter out of curiosity. Would it taste like milk tea? Hmmm. Got it for 90 bucks which I think was cheap for cakes these days range 100-200php a slice.

I think the cake was pretty good. Three layered cake, and each layer had different textures which i liked. The first layer carried more of the earl grey tea-ish taste that was not too strong but was noticeable, texture was thickest. The second layer was more of the chocolate with more mousse-y + cheesecake texture. The bottom layer was more dry yet still sticky. Pretty interesting 'cause the three layers vary in terms of texture. 128517 and what seemed like cocoa powder on top was good. 128077🏻

I saw a fly roving the place though. 128563 and the service was just okay. Server was not too friendly. WiFi was not working during my visit as well.

Might try their main dishes if I get curious again next time. 128514

Our recent hang out place in tomas morato for meeting and chill out.

Some of the food and drinks we've tried here:
Grape shake is one of the best! I love how it was blended, the ice is not that thick and easily melt in your mouth. And i mean Real grapes 127815
If you're a fan of adobo like me, try their twice cooked adobo, succulent pork and chicken with a flavorful sauce. Winner 128077
Their grilled chicken terriyaki is also good, not that sweet, just the way i like for a taste of terriyaki
but what i liked most is the baang chops. I usually order it when i'm starving because it comes with 2pcs of super tender grilled porkchop. Yay! 128523
For dessert, we liked their choco lava cake. One of the best lava cake best paired with iced latte. We got it a couple of times na because it's sinfully good 128514128514128515128515

Big serving for all the rice meals and very affordable.

Servers are nice and friendly, even the owners. One of them eventually became a good friend of ours. Thou, parking is a bit problem since it's located along tomas morato.

I'm liking Baang Cafe's Earl Gray Chocolate Mousse Cake. Their pastry is a luscious layering of a thin chocolate sponge cake base, a velvety dark chocolate mousse, a layer of creamy milk-chocolate mousse, and dusting of cocoa powder. The distinct flavor of Earl Gray tea nicely balances the chocolatey flavor of their pastry. Not bad at all for just Php 90 bucks for this baby.

Wanted something heavy for lunch one day so I stepped into this place along the Tomas Morato strip.

They offer typical coffee shop drinks as well as rice meals and pastas. The price range appears to be pretty reasonable at 150-ish to 200 pesos.

I got their twice cooked adobo and their aligue pasta. The twice cooked adobo comes with chicken and pork parts and rice. It was really good! The adobo was super flavorful, permeating right into the meat and was quite filling. The aligue pasta was also good, very cheesy and came with two pieces of bread.

The staff are really nice although the actual place is in some need of repair. The chairs are falling apart and stuff. But they have wi-fi!

Would want to come back soon to try their chocolate lava cake.

It's always nice to eat and hang out over coffee with friends in Baang (pronounced as Bang). Food and coffee's great. Although quite pricy, their main dishes are worth their price.

Their bestseller Filipino dish Twice Cooked Adobo always is a satisfier! The Seafood Pasta is also highly recommended. Plus their lemon iced tea is also perfect for refreshment. Two thumbs up!

I only got a sandwich because I knew I had to go home for dinner, but I didn't expect this to be nakaka busog!! 128586

I'll definitely come back for their best sellers i.e. Adobo, tapa, chicken parmigiana. But for now, I'll just have the basic.

Cheeseburger Platter @ Php 160. 128076 Worth it!!! It's reasonably priced for its size and add-ons! My love affair with coleslaw has been rekindled, thanks to Baang 128149

Free wifi, good service, ample parking in front and at side street. Ambient music can be improved -- FM radio lang eh haha

Baang Tapa was unexpectedly good when I tried it first after a once-relieved 24hr duty. I also can't get over their Vanilla Caramel and this coffee shop became my frappe-to-go place esp. during the time I was working on completion of department clearance form at Capitol Medical Center. Gotta visit this place again soon.

It was a quiet afternoon in Tomas Morato when my husband decided to have our late lunch in Baang Coffee. We frequent this place because we love 2 dishes here. One is the ever famous Chicken Parmigiana (which my hubby loves!) and my all time favorite, Twice Cooked Adobo! He tried this dish and was amazed and said that it's really good!! The sauce was thick and has a different taste from the usual adobo we know. Generous serving for the price of this dish as well! A good place to hang out! We'll see you soon, Baang! 128515128522
