After Mariachi, I said I'll go back to this place to try out the other 2 restaurants. I chose Backyard Burgers this time.

Ordered Extreme Backyard Cheeseburger. Added P50 for Onion Rings and Iced Tea. Simply delicious. Patty was super thick and juicy. Just right for its price. Didn't love their onion rings though. Super oily and it seemed like it was dipped in nutmeg.

Surprisingly good, these joints huh? I sugest you try 'em. It's along Sgt. Esguerra Ave. in QC.

Good-sized burgers. Fries were good too. The place is small and kind of dingy for burgers of that price though. Overall, not on my list of top 5 burger joints to go to.

We bought vouchers from groupon for this burger joint and we're glad we did! The voucher comes with a burger, onion rings and bottomless iced tea! Not bad! 128522

We got the truffle burger and the heart attack burger. I was super excited to try the truffle one because.. TRUFFLE! 128514 but I was a bit disappointed with this one after having tried the heart attack burger!

Kagulo yung heart attack burger! The burger patty had cheese inside it! Plus, it had crispy pork belly (I agree with Miggy T that this is definitely good with rice!) and cheese!

Their burgers are pretty heavy though but I can't eat burger without fries or a side dish! I cannot eat a burger without fries and that's a fact. I eat them simultaneously too. I cannot eat a burger first then fries second and vice versa. I'm weird like that. 128513 anyway, the onion rings was thin and seasoned well. The fries are pretty good but the cheese wasn't gooey enough. 128532 but I still like them though!

The only thing I didn't like is their iced tea. I'm just not a fan of it hehe. Other than that, everything's a ok! Even the cashier/server, was really nice to us! 128077

Thank you to Groupon, Looloo and most of all, the Looloo users for helping us find another gem of a burger joint!

While it'll never replace the soft spot (and the hardened arteries) in our hearts reserved for Jollibee's Champ, BK's 4-Cheese Whopper and Food Camp's double patty wagyu burger (shameless plug #sorrynotsorry), Backyard Burgers is a must visit to all you minced meat patty fiends out there.

The aptly named Heart Attack is a half-pound monstrosity topped with crispy (read: perfectly done) pork belly (that by itself would go great with some garlic rice). You'd think it's a bad idea, which it is for your health, but not for your palate since the taste of the patty is highlighted by the pork.

The truffle burger was 2nd-runner-up with its mozzarella-center (cheese inside the meat = genius; best idea since jelly-filled donuts) and the generous serving of truffled shiitake mushroom. Is there anything that doesn't taste good with some truffle oil?!

The onion rings were thinly sliced and lightly battered (read: dusted like tiramisu) which is a change of pace from the usual rings of batter with a hint of onion that other restaurants serve.

The cheesy fries though were soggy from being drizzled, erm, bathed in watery cheese sauce. Good dipping sauce for the burgers, but not gooey enough for me.

Seems like there are plenty to try the next time around, like the obscene Backyard Burger with a full pound patty, or the Brekkie with a smoked bacon patty, egg and hashbrowns. There's even the Beef Belly Cheese Steak which showcases the slow-roasted variant instead.

They even have wings (aha! More incentive to return!) but it doesn't seem like a bestseller. Maybe as an appetizer perhaps.

To top it all off, they offer imported beers at 100 bucks a bottle from 5-9pm daily, and a local beer is 240 bucks for a bucket of six. Happy Hour indeed.

The prices don't hurt, prepare about 180-320 for the burgers, another 100 for sides/burger add ons/milkshake/beer and you're all set.

Order the supreme (1/3lb) for the ladies, extreme (1/2lb) for the fellas (I'm a big guy and it was already filling) and obscene (1lb) to share or to feed Godzilla.

Hurry and check Groupon if they still have the 180 peso value meal!!!

My last but definitely not the least.. Burger joint in my list! 128518127828

Located near ABS CBN, along with a Mexican and Mediterranean resto, Backyard Burgers is a good place for those waiting while their cars are being washed at the adjacent car wash shop.

This time, my dad bought vouchers for a burger with unlimited iced tea and onion rings. For its regular price of around P200-250, this is already worth it.

What we got are the Godfather, the Heart Attack and the Truffle Burger.

What made The Godfather different and unique was its pesto sauce along with lettuce, tomato and all cheeses. The Heart Attack included beef patty plus crispy pork belly - putok batok! 128514 While the Truffle Burger was with truffle shitake mushrooms and the mozzarella cheese.. Yummy!!! 128523

For me, the burger hoagie buns are big and fresh. Their flavors are unique too.

Another good place for burgers (along with the rest like B&B and the Burgery). 128079127867127828 #DQEats! 128523

The Godfather Burger is Good because it is Cheesy, with pesto and other ingredients that made the burger tasty. The fries is good and we also tried the shake. I prefer to choose the strawberry shake. They also provide a free wifi connection.

I'd stay away from the Nachos and iced tea. The burger was just ok, not delicious. The wings are pretty ok though.

We had the backyard cheeseburger, heart attack and the godfather. All good.

Had to wait a bit for the burgers even if there weren't too many customers...

Situated right beside a car wash, most would probably miss this place (like my friend did. Hahaha128517). But once you spot the GMA bldg, better slow down and look on your left as the street is one-way.128521

For the food, me & Joerel d ordered the sampler, truffle fries and wings while our friends ordered the Godfather and Heart Attack plus the onion rings. We weren't able to try their burgers but they were huge.. And basing on how they finished their respective quarter-pounders in a snap, they must be good!128513

The sampler includes a variant of three small burgers: Hot Hombre, Classic Cheeseburger and Truffled mushroom burger. Only bit a small piece from the Truffled burger but I could sense a resemblance to BK's mushroom burger.128516 as for the truffle? Sounded good on the menu but the truffle was seriously nonexistent on the burger. Nonetheless, it was very filling and the patties were superb.. Loved their buns too!

The wings were also delicious and very affordable. You could really taste the tanginess, spiciness and sweetness in the sauce. Appreciated that the serving size was very generous! :)

As for the Truffle fries? Meh. Masabi lang na may truffle e. But again, it tasted like your regular wedges minus the truffle!128513 The onion rings, on the other hand, made up for that little mishap with the fries. They were light, crisp and delicious!128523

Was surprised that at lunch time, we were the only people in the place (although a couple went in while we were waiting for the food). We ordered the Sliders which composed of 3 mini burgers with different kinds: cheeseburger, truffle burger, and hot something burger (forgot what it's called). I found the price very reasonable, especially with the serving size. We also got onion rings on the side.

Overall, we liked the food!! The serving size was quite generous, in my opinion because the "mini" burgers weren't so mini. My mom and I shared the sliders and we ended up being sooo full! Our favorite was the truffle burger because it had mozzarella cheese inside the patty! And mushrooms on top! Loved the spicy burger as well!! The cheeseburger was a bit sad because I didn't even notice the cheese. Mom loved the buns (forgot what she called it but it was quite thick and not-so-soft). The onion rings were okay (this is probably because for me, nothing compares to 8 Cuts' onion rings!! Haha), they were thinly cut so more oil seeped into it and it was quite greasy for me. There was some pepperish flavor though which was good, but then it was quite soggy.

Would definitely come back for the truffle burger and to taste some of the other burgers :)

Groupon voucher - P182 for Truffle burger with Onion rings and ice tea... not a bad deal! 128512 Small place with a few tables inside... 128077Free WI-FI... more seats outside for those who wanna smoke and drink...
Didn't care for their buns all that much...it was kinda dry but the patty was good and it came with shiitake shrooms and mozzarella 128525128525128525 Now, that was yummy!

Tried their "GODFATHER" burger. I may not like the bun on the top and whatever is on top of it, it's not soft yet I love their patty. And the pesto flavored spread that they put on the buns.

Their "TRUFFLE BURGER" tastes like the MUSHROOM MELT of BK. The truffle burger is filled with shiitake mushrooms.

They have bottomless "RED" houseblend iced tea (which is OK) they too have onion rings (though I didn't order them.

Plus, they don't have any parking space, they share the lot with a car wash.

Overall, I may recommend the iced tea, and the TRUFFLE BURGER

Craved for a burger today, since we are just around ABSCBN, we decided to drop by the Backyard Burgers. Lucky for us we found a parking on a rainy day. I ordered a truffles burger because I haven't taken my lunch yet. This burger is amazing, soft buns, tasty patty, the melted cheese and mushrooms! I like it spicy so I add some hot sauce in it. At 245php for this burger, it seems to be worth it.
