The Baclayon Church is still being restored until now. Despite the ruins, you'll appreciate the grandeur and beauty that it once had. According to our tour guide, the church wall is made of limestones and egg white.

Too bad the bell tower was hit by the earthquake last 2013.

I'm fond of going to old churches and this second oldest stone church in the Philippines is on my bucket list. Unfortunately, it's still under construction and it will take years to fully restore.

Still under construction. I enjoyed looking on the historical artifacts at the museum. Too bad. We're not allowed to take pictures.

Still under construction due to the recent 2013 earthquake. The church portion is still not open for viewing. You have to pay a fee to enter or to view the church interiors as there is no other way to enter the church except via the museum for now.

This is the oldest church here in bohol. Too bad it was destroyed but restoration is now ongoing.

one of the church na ni-stop over namin when we had our tour in bohol last year January.. we we're not allowed to get near then kasi dahil sa falling debris daw effect of the earthquake that came a year before ... sayang talaga ..I felt so bad then seeing all those churches na dinahanan at yung ilang na stop over namin to view the outside since they don't allow to enter inside for safety measure , I didn't able to take a photo dahil sa cp kong laging lowbat 128557.. I hope one day if i'll be given a chance to visit bohol again, they are completely renovated and back to their beauty and wonders..

Beautiful church! Happy to know they're renovating it after the recent earthquake.

They have a small souvenir shop near the church's museum exit.

Just down the street from the church, there's a bakeshop that sells freshly baked broas! So goood!

One of the churches that was greatly affected by the Bohol earthquake 2 years ago kaya ngayon, nirerestore na siya. Our tour guide said na restoration takes 5-10 years pa daw kaya ugh sayang haha! Folks say na pag first time mong magvisit sa church, light a candle and make a wish for that wish will come true. So we did haha!
Di na din siya gnagamit for mass kasi nga nirerestore pa. Pero sa labas, makikita mo na andon pa yung coral stones na nasirs due to the earthquake. Bubuohin daw nila yon kaya parang magiging puzzle yung itsura (accdf to our tour guide)
There's also a museum there where in you can see images and old paintings and stuffs like that haha!
Really hoping na pag bumalik kami, narestore na
GIVE DONATIONS FOR RESTORATION NA RIN IF EVER YOU'RE THERE! Any amount will do 128077128591
