Had some errands to run around BF last Sunday so we decided to have lunch at Bacolod chicken house. BCH is one of those 'institutions' inside BF, it's been there ever since I can remember!
Got my usual pecho with garlic rice (php150), chicken skin (php80) and adobong kangkong (php70 I think). Hubby got the paa and a couple of sticks of chicken butt 128513
Orders came out in about 10mins, so so good! Don't forget to ask for extra chicken oil, yumm! Bitin the rice so we ordered for another serving to share. Less one star cos the chicken skin and kangkong servings have become considerably smaller, but no biggie, Masarap parin.
600 for all the delicious food we ordered!

Maverick Christopher P has been craving for Inasal ever since we watched Everyday I Love You.

We finally got around to eating here a couple of days ago and it was pretty satisfying. (Especially when you're famished)

We had the Pecho, Atay, Baticolon, Isol and Batchoy. We're very "takaw-tingin" and we ended up bringing most of our orders home. 128514

The price was okay, tho the BBQ items like the Atay and all were a bit too much. 128586 (P54/stick)

Service was quick, coz there were not too many people.

Bacolod Chicken House is a legend in BF and has been around even before I started in HS. I graduated college 9 years ago, so that should be a testament to their longevity and stability. They haven't moved from the same spot since!

I actually only had fond memories of last eating here prior to coming back. I don't know why its been that long... but coming back after more than a decade, i'm glad to find out that nothing's changed. The chicken inasal is spot on, even the pecho part isn't dry. Add extra chicken oil and suka, and you have a winner! And don't forget their la paz batchoy and chicken skin along with your inasal!128077128077128077

This is one of, if not, THE original inasal place in the south and I hope they stay that way.

It's been a while since we've eaten really good chicken inasal so we decided to drop by this BF 'institution' before our movie date last sat. Don't watch transcendence btw, such a letdown! Ugh!
Anyways, we ordered pecho, paa, chicken skin, adobong kangkong (which tasted like kangkong w bagoong, but never mind, still good 128077), garlic rice and achara.
Everything arrived in less than minutes and it was as good as I remember it to be! Btw the last time I ate here was in 2011. Don't forget to request for chicken oil! We enjoyed it so much we ordered and extra cup of garlic rice, yum! Total bill was around php600, FTW!
Less one star cos there were some mosquitoes and the library-esque ambience inside.. Too quiet!

For me, the best chicken inasal and la paz batchoy in the metro manila area!

I'm pretty sure that they roast their chicken for crispier skin and to tenderize the meat

I always order la paz batchoy - special (with egg) their chicharon bits adds crunch to the soup! Plus the soup is light and has just the right amount of a porky flavor that does not overwhelm the soup!

If you want comfort food, this is the place to be! Also it's cheap!

P.S. don't worry they have unli rice meals!

One of the few authentic insal place in the metro. I remember this place being an actual house with the grilling done at the window. Another comfort food place. If you are in BF, one of the best place to eat.
