Food was cooked right, good enough for it's price, it may seem a little pricey for others tho. Crews are not that friendly.

Super late review. Better than never. 128076

Been here over a week ago with big bear for our dinner. The food is good, only that the Pinakbet was so bland. As in no taste at all. I think it is better if it has a bit of bagoong taste. I like their chicken in sarap ng buhay combo, wasn't dry and tough. Their bangus sisig also we liked. Their dessert is just simple -- Buko Pandan with Kaong.

Service, yes, I am very particular of this. No welcoming staff! We ourselves looked for our seats. When you raise your hand, it's as if they are not seeing you. They are not paying attention to guests and I don't like that. I even stood up to call the attention of the staff. Not courteous too. They were not smiling the while time. 128545

Butterscotch dream. [Php 83]

A scoop of sweet vanilla ice cream topped with cubes of butterscotch drizzled with chocolate syrup. Needed just one thing: more scoops of ice cream!

The butterscotch is a bit dry and not that chewy :( There were a lot of nuts too and I don't like nuts. Tastes more like a caramel bar than butterscotch though.

The ice cream used could've been richer and creamier. It melted way too fast.

The big boys and I wanted a filling but fairly priced meal and the lunch choice was Bacolod Chicken Inasal. We were going to place individual orders but the alert waiter suggested their Family Meal Deal; 4 orders of Chicken Inasal with Garlic Rice, 1 order of Lumpiang Shanghai (good for 4), 1 order of Laing (good for 4), 4 orders of Iced Tea and 4 orders of Buko Pandan, all for P899.

I consider the "true" chicken inasal to be "orangey" in color. Others will claim that theirs is inasal but until I see the distinct orange color, I scoff at the declaration. The unique hue comes from basting the chicken with achuete oil before roasting. Believe it or not, when the Spaniards first came across the dish, they called it "asar", meaning to roast. But because the locals could not pronounce the hard "r", the name "inasal" was born.

Back to the big boys and our Family Meal Deal. Of course, the main feature of the deal was chicken inasal. The choice of either pecho or paa was left to us, which was very good since we all had different favorites. Suffice it to say that the chicken was very flavorful. I suspect that the chicken stayed in the secret marinade for some time. It was also soft, tender and moist while the skin was slightly crunchy.

We were not expecting the Laing to stand out but their version of the dish was a winner. First of all, the spice was controlled. Not too hot, just enough to complement the flavor of the coconut milk. Second, the coconut milk was was just the right consistency, easy enough to spoon and pour over rice.

I felt that the Lumpiang Shanghai tasted different. I could not make out the distinct taste but I did not let it bother me. It was good nonetheless, especially when dipped in the sweet spicy chili sauce that came with it.

To round off the meal, we each had our Buko Pandan. The sweetness of which balanced out the spicy, sour, savory tastes of the main dishes.

Bellies full and wallets intact, we promised to come back next week. 128523128523128523

Ordered a Sinigang Na Baboy here and liked it! Serving's plenty for one person but knowing me who loves Sinigang, serving's just perfect! I wanted to have something with soup in my lunch yesterday that's why I ordered this.

BTW, the photo above is the story why the Chicken Inasal is called Inasal. Have a look and read why. 9786

Love their chicken inasal here since it's not your typical fastfood inasal like what you can find in Mang Inasal and Chic-Boy. Ever since I was assigned at Pioneer in my early days at Accenture, I already love their inasal here. It's not that pricey and not too cheap. Just right on the budget. 128521

They also have other Filipino or Bacolod dishes served here that you can choose from in case you're tired of eating Inasal.

I also knew why it was called "inasal" as seen written on one spot of their walls here. 9786

Since I'm on a diet for the upcoming barkada and company outings, I chose to eat this instead for lunch. This solo Pancit Molo costs a minimal P69.50 only that's why I chose to order this. It tasted the same with the other molo soups in other Filipino restos and karinderia, nothing special. I just added some pepper to liven up the taste and finished my meal with a glass of house water. 128540

Had yummy crispy crablets and the Merienda ni Rizal combo wich featured fresh suman with organic muscovado sugar and unlimited servings of chokolat-eh!

Too bad the hot chocolate wasn't that good as I expected, it was too sweet maybe they added sugar. But the suman my oh my I loved it!

My cousin tried their I think it was chocolate pudding and it tasted really good!
