We went to Tagaytag for lunch and came across Bagoong Club while looking for a place to eat. We had Bulalo sa Monggo and Adobong Baby Pusit, and the drive to Twin Lakes was worth it.
Bulalo sa Monggo tasted like a normal ginisang monggo, but I noticed that there's bagoong also but just not sure how it affected the taste. What's different with this dish is the bulalo incorporated to the monggo, which replaced the usual pork, and felt like you're eating 2 dishes at once. the bulalo was delicious, soft and pleasant. what i was looking for, however, is the ampalaya leaves since i'm big on that one. serving can do good for 3-4 people.
Adobong baby pusit came too sweet for me, and i was looking for that natural pusit taste. the pusit however was perfectly cooked and tender in their bite sized form. Overall a nice experience with the free singkamas and 2 types of bagoong while waiting.

Unplanned weekend summer Tagaytay trip last April 22 Saturday. It was supposed to be an Enchanted Kingdom trip but were surprised it was closed when we got there because it was reserved for company outgoing and really disappointed coz we didn't know .

Instead going back to Manila we decided to go straight to Tagaytay. We had late lunch at Bagoong Club Resto at Twin Lakes. It's too far and almost Batangas already .

Bagoong Resto club at Twin Lakes has nice view. We had Bulalo , Sisig and pork binangoonan. Serving was too little and price was just ok. Service was a bit slow.

We ate here on a Saturday night. The place was not even that crowded but the service was terrible. We waited for almost 2 hours to get our orders. Most tables have been served ahead of us even if we got in first. They even served the meals before the rice so we ended up eating the meals w/o rice since we were very hungry and pissed for the very slow service. Im not even sure if their food tasted good or we just thought they're good because of our intense hunger. Will never go back to this branch again.

We have finally made our tagaytay trip on Wednesdays. And for today's breakfast we opted for something different. The bagoong club is owned by the ACA group of companies (AMA college) same owners of Johnny rockets and quiznos. No. Kanin club is NOT part of ACA group.

Really, this is something different--though not into my liking. I applaud their innovation on some food but it just a hit gor me. Basically they just play with liempo, lechon kawali and all sorts of filipino pork.

Ambiance is quite boring. Wooden but there's an 8 seater al fresco over looking the taal

They'll bring you out jicama --your singkamas-- with two kinds of bagoong! The sweet one (dark colored one) and the salty one. The salty bagoong has a kick of spiciness. I like the sweet one.

128204128525 pinakbet at liempo @230php
Eto. Just order this if you go here. The pinakbet sauce is really good--thick and tastes a little like aligue. The eggplant and squash were not soggy and the ampalaya?! Bitterly good(LOL)!

128204 kinilaw na tuna at inihaw na liempo @275
The kinilaw tastes good naman. Again, liempo tastes ordinary...it got red bell peppers and green mangoes, and cucumber to add a medley of taste to the dish.

128204 bulalo sa monggo @320php
Hmm.. 🤔 i kinda did not understand the taste at first. I was expecting something thick, but then i remember it's bulala, so the taste was beany with a little sour. Add the beef it becomes really something new to your tastebuds. It has a lot of litid though.

128204club binagoongan special @295
This one is the weirdest. It taste like sweet and sour liempo. They say it has aligue but no i was not able to taste it. I was not able to take a picture of it.

128204 lechon kawali
I was not able to get the price but it's the plainest of our order. Hmmm.. It's crispy naman the meat part is toasted. There's a mang tomas dip at the side.

For a filipino dish lover, maybe this is going to be a 5; but then i'm not really. I will just give them a high 3 for innovating. Bravo because they served all dishes within 20 mins(cause we're the only customer) Hehe 128521128077🏼
