AT LAST!!! After months of waiting and wanting to try Bake Cheese Tart, I finally got a reason to visit the Podium Area. I have been reading and seeing a lot of good reviews about Bake Cheese Tart. I counted months to try this and I was so happy I finally did! I wouldn’t miss it for the world!!! It was like my top to-do list last Friday.

So I visited their flagship store in Podium. Bake Cheese Tart is located at the ground level near the entrance facing Julia Vargas. I can see those little cheese tarts waving at me as I walk towards the stall. My heart was literally pounding as I get nearer. LOL.

I first tried a piece that would cost PHP95 while a box of 6 is sold at PHP540. If you do the Math you can save for about PHP30/ box or PHP5/piece when you order a box.

On my first bite, I was like OMG 128561128561128561 this is the 128163128163128163!!! The crust was perfectly thin, not too thin, it was the right thinness for the size of the tart. It was crisp that it looks so delicate to be eaten. The colors of both the crust and the tart are both spot on 128076🏻128076🏻128076🏻.

Flavor wise, this is indeed the best by far! I couldn’t agree more! The texture and flavor was superbly spot on too! Among all other cheese tarts in MNL theirs is the only that I recall to have that hint of saltiness which I absolutely loved!!! Every bite was litterally HEAVEN!!! 128149 I can imagine the effort one has to put in making these precious gems. They were like made out of passion and love.

Of course I ended up taking home a box of 6. They recommended that I try the frozen one. I was intrigued so I immediately followed the instructions that came with it. First you have to chill it then microwave it. I turned out to be a melt-in-your-mouth cheese tart, like that one of LAVA cheese tart. I didn’t have a photo because it went messy with me. 128514 I kind of over-microwaved it. I would say it’s still as perfect as it originally was when it comes to taste. I can literally eat them little pieces of heaven in any form.

I loooooove cheese tarts, but I guess I now have my favorite one!!! No wonder everyone is raving about this. Kinda sucks that I only got to try them now, BUT it’s better late than never right? 128514 Please please do try Bake Cheese Tart. These tarts will definitely make your day!!!

It was quite a struggle for me to try Bake Cheese Tart because they used to only have 2 stores, one in Podium and then in Rockwell. I was happy when they told me they now have one in MALL OF ASIA as well. I hope they continue to branch out that they would eventually open one in QC area. 128591🏻128591🏻128591🏻

Aboslutely coming back for mooooore!!!

It is not surprising that the famed ‘Hokkaido Baked Cheese Tart’ has been a huge hit throughout Asia, having successfully launched in Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.

You no longer have to fly all the way to Japan or Hong Kong to have a taste of because they already open some branches here in Manila 128525

From the open kitchen, you can see how they prepare and bake the cheese tarts. The shiny yellow display of freshly baked cheese tart is just super tempting and obviously going to attract any passer-by to drop in.

The first bite into it, you’d taste the savoury factor. Before long, a subtle sweetness will work its way through and you’ll be crying on the inside with joy.

A crumbly exterior is almost marshmallow-like on the outside, fluffy inner texture, and cheesy warm soft filling – making them an instant hit.

If you are buying the tarts home, you can reheat it by using a toaster oven (microwave doesn’t really work that well). They last well about 2 - 3 days in the fridge.

Bake Cheese Tarts are just extraordinarily good. Soft, tarty, well balanced cheese filling. You certainly won’t go wrong.

So here I am again getting a box of 6 as a pasalubong for my parents!

It’s almost closing time when I get there and glad that I made it right before they wrap up!

Mom instantly loved it on first bite, and so was I. It’s just soooo good!!! I almost forgot how much I react when I tried it for the first time. Fluffy cheese mousse oozing from the thin crust tart had me crazy (every single time) after every bite! Dad also loved it and he rarely eat some sweets so this is totally something to die for! :D

I can’t wait to go back again and get another box of these cheese tart goodies!

I have always had my eye on this ever since I first saw it on Instagram. I remember sending photos to my friend in Singapore, and asking her to try it with me. I wasn’t aware yet of its hype. All I knew is that it looked good, and must have tasted good. When news circulated that it would open here, I was gearing up and waiting for the perfect time to try it out. And on one Saturday evening, fate allowed me to finally try this. 🙂

Just look at the beauty of it all! It had the right burnt edge on the side which still allows for that beautiful yellow tone to shine through. I bought six pieces (P540) thinking that one wouldn’t be enough. Besides, I wanted to take home some for my folks back home. Needless to say, those pieces were gone in seconds. Yes, it was that good! It didn’t have this cloying taste but had that light cheese taste. I liked how the crust was thick enough to hold all that filling in. One could eat multiple pieces of this. It’s that good! 128512

Best straight out of the oven, when the cheese is oozing and warm.

I’ve tried it freshly baked, from the freezer, from the fridge, warmed in the oven. I don’t really like it at room temp, regardless of who makes them. Cold is ok.

Finally had the chance to visit Podium last Friday to try Bake cheese tarts.

For 95php, I think it’s a steal. I was expecting it to be over 100php. There was no line when I visited. I like its crust, it was not too messy to eat.

I actually bought a box of 6 (540php) as pasalubong to my sister and Mommy but I actually ended up eating most the next day. I ate it cold as what the staff suggested but I think I prefer eating it fresh off the oven.

P.S. Thanks guys for the recos! 🤗

I’m a cheese lover, so after seeing Ruth S’ IG post that she finally tried the baked cheese tart and how she loved it. I was convinced to grab one right away but apparently The Podium Mall is not open until 11am so I waited in the office checking the time and waiting.

While in the meeting I really feel excited to try it but don’t want to be rude checking on the time every now and then.
So right after the meeting, I checked the time and it’s almost 12nn! Right on time! So I went to The Podium Mall with excitement, and as I reach Bake Cheese Tart’s shop I smiled and ordered a piece!

It is worth it! Worth the wait! Worth the crave! Worth the price!

Try it now!

Best Cheese Tart. 128076

Perfect mix of crunchy outer shell, and smooth, foamy cheese inner.

Wishing there was a place to sit and enjoy the tart, but standing in front of their stall would do. 128512

IT’S HEREEE! These yummy cheese tarts from Japan are now here in Manila.

When a friend of mine sent me a message that it’s the soft opening of Bake Cheese Tart in Podium, I skipped my lunch and went there. Like their Japan branches, their first ever Manila branch only has a take-out counter. It might be better to have a few cocktail tables or small chairs in their next few branches, knowing how Filipinos are fond of eating out and having get-togethers outside.

I loved how Bake was able to preserve the taste of the cheese tarts, making it similar to those that they offer in Japan. Price-wise, I think it is a few pesos lower. This is not bad given that you’re experiencing the same cheese tarts sold in Japan.

The best cheesetart hands down. I love how they quietly opened without the media fuss. Maybe learning from the previous franchise that opened. That having so much media bring so much high expectation to people that don't know what really to expect. So I love what they did just low key and let the cheesetart do the talking. From the way it looked to its crunch and taste everything for me was perfect. Love it!

And heard from looloo insights that they are able to sell 3.5M of this cheesetart in a year!!! ($),($) Maybe at the end of this year they'll hit more than 4M with the Philippine branches. 128176128176128176

I wasn’t surprise when BAKE opened here in PH. What surprised me was the price of their cheese tarts. I was expecting it to be over a hundred but PHP95, it’s a steal, especially when you get a blend of three kinds of cheese in every bite. They bake the crust twice to give it a crunchy-unique taste that sets it apart from other cheese tarts.

Although we all want branches to bob up here and there, I hope they don’t grow too fast to keep quality in check. Unless consistency can run along with growth. :)

JUST THE BEST CHEESE TARTS MY TASTE BUDS HAVE COME IN CONTACT WITH 128525

My addiction for these tarts started one day when I was wandering the streets of Hong Kong. My foodie self was not able to resist the temptation of queueing along with the many people who wanted these tarts. I waited for more than an hour and i did not regret any minute. It has then become a habit of mine that any HK visit will have to be a BAKE visit.

Imagine how happy I was when I learned about them opening here.

So you guys try, we’re not joking, they’re really good stuff.

I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing that I didn't get to try Bake when I was in Tokyo over the holidays. On one side, I can't compare and contrast. On the other side, at least I didn't come in the store with really high expectations.

To my great pleasure, I can say that the cheese tarts of Bake are the best there is here in Manila 128557 That lava cheese center just oozed out after I took my first bite! Ended up having quite a mess on my hands since I was walking around the new PowerPlant wing while eating but no regrets. Those are tarts are worth it 10084

Ok their cheese tart now surpassed Kumori and Lava’s version. I love how crunchy the base was and how it was able to hold the filling too. It isn’t as messy to eat unlike Kumori and Lava’s cheese tart. I was advised by the staff to try it frozen cause it’s like ice cream. So I will surely go back and order a box instead of 3 pieces only (gave 2 to my parents hihi)

I don’t mind paying Php 95 cause it was really good and just thinking about it, I’m craving for one now 128557 Open one in QC please I will be your shareholder 128514

The packing was nice too. My friend bought a box and it was layered so that it won’t shift when you transport those tarts. Highly recommend this! Visit it when you have a chance.

SARAP!!!! But huhu sakit sa salipi 128184 and super guilty pleasure

What I loved the most about their cheese tart is the combination of the textures. The jelly, flan texture of the cheese and the of the crispness of the tart! 128523 Love at first bite!

BAKE!!! The best, most delicious, delectable cheese tart ever assembled in the history of the world is finally in Manila. It was a 2 year wait ever since i saw that sign in S'Maison that it was coming soon. I guess it was a case of later than sooner for them...

... But it sure was worth the wait. In the meantime, I've had to be patient for my trips to Japan or HK, or for friends doing thaf, for me to taste Bake Cheese Tart's perfect blend of 3 cheeses and that just ever so slightly sweet crunchy but crumbly crust. Also, there was a decent local one.

And now the original and best cheese tart benchmark is here, and for the great and below expected price of PhP 95! Wow. I thought it'd be PhP 120, so it's a pleasant surprise. And PhP 540 for 6 pieces inside thaf trademark yellow box.

It's imported from Japan itself, so the quality is assured and it's consistent with how you find Bake cheese tarts anywhere.

The place in the new Trinoma is very well designed-- modern, sleek, but with the confidence and Bake consistency of an all glass design so you can see the tarts being baked.

Bake is one of the franchises I've been eagerly eyeing on since the beginning of 2017. It was first rumored to open at S Maison around Mall of Asia Complex. Every time I was there, I kept looking for signs on when or where it will open, but no clue emerged, until in the late December when it finally opened in Podium.

I find it so coincidental that we were in Robinsons Galleria only a week after Bake arrived in Manila, and that I was with people who were so game to change malls just for us to have this for dessert.

Bake only has one item on their menu: their heavenly cheese tart, each one filled with gooey cheese mousse made from Hokkaido cheese and milk. It has this creamy and relatively sharp cheese filling and a not-too-flaky crust.

A tart costs P95 each, while a box of 6 will cost you P540*. Though this might seem a bit pricey, just know that I visited Hong Kong last June 2017 for one tart, and it cost me HKD 20 (which is equivalent to around P130). In short, we're one of the lucky countries to enjoy Bake at a cheaper price! Plus it's also really good.

I wasn't able to ask if they will be offering their soft serve soon, but I'm really hoping they will *fingers crossed*

I've tried several cheesy goods since the hype started, and Bake's cheese tart is one that I definitely liked.

*Get 2 boxes of 6 and get a free eco bag from Bake!

I finally tried the infamous cheese tart last month and I just find it alright. I see two reasons:

1. I'm not really a cheese tart person despite my love of cheese and dessert. huhu sorry!128557

2. While I agree with everyone that Bake is better than Lava and Pablo, another cheese tart have already stolen my heart.

Hello, Tokyo Secret! lelz.128517

This happened while I was working in Malaysia last 2016. Both of them have the same quality of cheese but Tokyo Secret's version is a tad creamy and the sour kick is more pronounced.

Also, there is a big difference in terms of crust. Tokyo Secret's crust is deym crumbly, as you bite into the dessert the crust smoothly follows through. Bake's crust on the other hand is somehow similar to lengua lagato's texture. Price wise, Bake is more expensive compared to my fave.

I guess I love Tokyo's Secret more too since I was able to try it first before Bake.

I'm rating three stars just because I tried Bake again when I was in Taipei 2 weeks ago and for some reason their cheese tart is better compared to what I had in Podium. I wonder why..🤔
