Debated on where to have a snack while at SM Megamall... But, remembering Clarissa P's recent reviews and Edwin I & Dianne C's winning endorsements, decided to try this place out...

Bought 4 bocaditos to go... Four bite-sized creations!128513 I tried (and shared) the following flavors:

128261 wild mushroom with truffle oil-- consists of porcini and shiitake mushrooms with gruyere cheese and truffle oil... The taste of the mushrooms was pronounced, but the cheese overpowered the truffle oil...

128261 spinach and goat cheese-- spinach, goat cheese and pine nuts... Leaf emblem on top... Tasted like pesto, but I liked it actually!128522

128261 Spanish chorizo-- chorizo with mozarella cheese... The one with the "C" on top... My favorite of the three... I love chorizo!128525

These are a bit difficult to eat... Crumbles immediately! Difficult to share actually... Expensive at P70/ piece or P65/piece for a dozen or more... Then again, they use good ingredients... I would still recommend it because they were good... Just don't expect to make a meal out of it... Then again, bocadito means morsel...128513

4 stars, but -0.5 for the size!128540

We tried their cheese, original and chorizo & mozzarella biscuits and we didn't like it. They were dry and all 3 variants lacked flavor. Will give it another try and buy the bocaditos next time.

Bocaditos! I first saw these babies from the |ooloo review of Edwin I and from then on, I haven't forgotten about them.

During our visit to Megamall, I made sure that I'll get to try these little bombs! It wasn't hard to find Baked by Anita. Upon seeing the stall, my eyes zeroed in on the Bocaditos. I got two of their Wild Mushroom with Gruyere and White Truffle - the most interesting variant in their list. They were warm when they were handed to me. One bite was all it took for me to fall in love. Imagine, soft buttery pastry generously filled with mushrooms, gooey Gruyere and the very distinct and strong flavor of truffle oil. Urgh! Just so good! I had hubby take a bite and once he did, we were back in the stall in no time to buy some more! Even my little 5 y/o liked them!

Quite pricey at 70php each or 65php each if you'll get a dozen. But then again when you think of the quality of the ingredients used, worth it na din. 128521

Late post...

One of those busy days at work ... No time for breakfast nor lunch ..yet needed to run some errands... Was doing it at Mega when suddenly I felt weak kneed & severe hungry pangs. No time to eat in any one of the many restos around ...

Clicked looloo & this popped out... Read Ej's review & ordered 2.

Wild mushroom as it comes highly recommended ... & my personal inkling towards chorizo

Took a shot( sorry for the ugly photo...I was barely alive then 128540) ... And needed to pop one into my mouth before fainting .... The wild mushroom was really tasty & u can really smell & taste the truffle oil in it...I finished it in 3 bites... It's so small but heavy & filling ... I felt better... But coz I was also thirsty ... I can't swallow it... Omg... The ordeal I put myself into sometimes... They don't hv water or sell water... Sigh

My mouths too dry to eat the 2nd one... Still I had a bite... Nothing good to say with the chorizo... U can totally skip this one... Run to the car for dear life.... Aqua de vida... Good I always hv a handy bottle in the car 9786

The bacaditos were coded on top.. Lol..." T" or mushroom looking one for the wild mushroom & I guess u all know what "C" stands for 9786

I had high hopes with the much raved about Bocaditos but I just find it a tad salty. It betrayed my expectations tbh. Or maybe I was just eating too much sweets today? I don't know..128533

The chocololate cupcake was just okay. It's a bit expensive for the offered size and it crumbles on each bite. 128148

The famous bocaditos!! After reading a few reviews on these things, I had to try 'em. Tiny little gourmet snacks perfect for in-between meal munchies.

Unfortunately, that was the big drawback for me... They're little. For P65, I wasn't very satisfied. :( I had the mushroom with truffle oil variant and I had to hold back from eating the whole thing in one bite. It was good though! You could smell and taste the truffle oil and the mushrooms were perfect.

4 stars if not for their size. 128517

It's on the 5th floor of Mega D and not on the 4th, around the corner. I'm saying this because here in looloo, it says it's on the 4th. Nahilo hilo ako kakahanap buti na lang may phone number sa looloo. You got that one right, looloo! 128516 And I called and asked where it is located. It's on the same floor as the ice skating rink. Anyway, I first tasted these delicious bocaditos at the food bazaar during our velada. Ang sarap! They had these leaflets on where they can be found. And so I lost it. 128542 Then ofcourse Looloo, here where I found those bocaditos again. 128522 Everything is just so sarap, for my taste ha. They are like mini pies. I bought all the flavors. They have 6. Hehehe. They also have cupcakes. Ang sarap din! Worth your money and worth all the calories. Hahaha

Three times in less than a week. 128513Hahaha. Oh well. Bought bocaditos..AGAIN!! Ofcourse, wild mushrooms and tried the chili-lime tuna with black olives, I don't eat olives BUT you can't taste it here so it was good. It has the right amount of spiciness and well, I loved it. 128516128516128077128077128077128077128077

---Again, not in megamall but the mini bazaar in glorietta 4---

Loved bocaditos so bought mushroom with truffle oil again, and this time I also tried the baby spinach with french goat cheese and pine nuts (left picture)- it was also very good if you want the healthy version of bocaditos. 978697869786128523128523128523128523

Wild Mushroom (shiitake and porcini mushrooms) with Gruyere and White Truffle Oil Bocaditos. My new guilty pleasure from Baked by Anita at the SM Megamall's new wing. Bocaditos, a Spanish term, roughly translates to morsels, snacks, or appetizers.

I simply loved the delicate morsels rich with the combination of earthy mushroom flavors from both the mushroom bits and truffle oil that perfectly blended with the creamy, lightly sharp tang of the melted gruyere cheese. The pastry pockets that encased the precious savory stuffing, tasted like a nice buttery dense puff pastry.

These exquisite 1-to-2 bite morsels are on the high price side with Php 65 each. But, this is one of those instances where the taste and premium ingredients pretty much justified the price. The Bocaditos also came in different gourmet flavors: Spicy Italian with Roasted bell Peppers, Baby Spinach with French Goat Cheese and Pine nuts, Chicken & Mushrooms in Marsala Cream (claimed by their attendant as another bestseller), Spanish Chorizo with Mozarella (another supposed best seller), and Chili-Lime Tuna with Black Olives.

I didn't bother trying the other flavors because the Wild Mushroom with Gruyere and Truffle Oil simply blew my taste buds away. I was so glad when they told me that they also sell the Bocaditos frozen. Patrons can simply pop these exquisite frozen morsels into the toaster oven, while frozen, and after a few minutes enjoy 'em with that freshly baked goodness. Loved that the frozen pastries were packed in an aluminum ice bag (free of charge) that can keep them frozen for up to 4 hours. Perfect for personal consumption or a fantastic appetizer for some fine dinner parties hosted at home! I ended up buying a dozen of the frozen flavor. And yes, they were true to their word that toaster-oven heating was just that simple.

It was after I purchased my savory loot when I noticed that they also sold fancy-looking cupcakes. But I didn't bother trying the cupcakes because the Bocaditos were simply winners to me.

Apparently, the owner started her business at her home in one of the confusing streets of San Juan. Her patrons have urged her to open up a more accessible branch, thus taking advantage of perfect timing at SM Megamall's new upscale wing.

Will definitely be back for more of those scrumptious Wild Mushroom with Gruyere and Truffle Oil Bocaditos. Will excitedly also try the other flavors as well.

Highly recommended to foodies who enjoy fine gourmet appetizers and snacks.

After getting son's order at Serenitea, we walked down the escalator and saw a bakeshop at the center of the corridor.

The colorful cupcakes displayed in the case were so inviting, son and I can't resist. The sales lady suggested the red velvet flavor, so we got it.

It's cute, just imagine a cupcake 2 size smaller than of Cupcakes by Sonja for P65 per piece. Inside my mind, this is a little expensive huh!

The cup is made of hard paper/foil strong enough to hold the cupcake in your hands and a wooden spoon will be given to you. The topping is 127926sweet, sour and salty (nano nano nano)127926 that compliments with moisten red bread, it has fillings too!

This cupcake rocks! Once you taste it you'll forget other cupcakes out here!
