I've only visited this place once with my brother and friends.. I don't know about you guys but I'm definitely not a fan of local Filipino food. What I liked is that the place is close to mine wherein I can just basically walk there from foot and eat. The place is very small and narrow, but I loved the decor and what was on the walls. It brings you back and learn more and appreciate Ilocos and the Ilocanos and giving you an idea of their history, the plates were very immaculate and well kept and taken care of. As not being a fan of local food, I didn't like the food at all.. It was slightly okay or not even.. I had the dinakdakan which is basically pork and what was even more shocking to me were the portion sizes.. For P170 I got bits of pork and a small portion of rice.. Clearly didn't make me fully, I was just annoyed instead, really wasn't happy paying for that as I'd be way more happy eating somewhere else and never understood or got why people said this place is good but in my opinion, too expensive, small portions and not even good at all. Wouldn't bother coming back here because it left me sad and disappointed with a hungry stomach.. The food is okay, not good, the price was too much but the big lot for me was the price for the portion, basically a rip off. If you want to eat local food I'd suggest you'd try something else unless you want to burn money and have some Ilocano food, I wouldn't at all.

A taste of Ilocos in south Metro Manila! Yup, na-B.I. na talaga ako 128517 Put up by a family tracing their roots to Ilocos and using family recipes passed down from previous generations.

The binagoongan and the bagnet is what you should come here for. The bagnet, in particular, has got to be one of the best! 128077The mechado too had huge chunks of beef and the sauce was thick and full of flavor. All these go nicely with their rice topped with bits of Vigan longganisa.

Willing talaga ako ma-B.I. ulit, basta dito! 128522

This is the "Putok- batok", literally. A lil too salty but I'm warning you, do not sit next to this in front of a tv or serve in a table with cold beer. You will forget how bad this little itty bitty pieces are for your heart and your belly! 128513

The food is great. The bagnet is half kilo, the salted egg with kamatis is only 15 pesos. The papaitan taste great also.

Menu is meat heavy. But the bagnet and dinakdakan are as good as advertised. I had high hopes for the Papaitan but it ended up as a hosed down version of the authentic ilocano papaitan (probably to the benefit of the mainstream palate). There was nothing special with the pinakbet either. My wife really wanted to taste their ilocos longga but was told that it was unavailable. Price was very affordable, and ambiance was homey; both of which more than made up for the sparse parking.

This small restaurant brings some of the best recipes of Ilocos region . Craving for bagnet? Pakbet or vigan longanisa? They have them here! Now I'm missing ilocos.
