Last weekend we're back @ Balesin Islander for brunch.

For a change (my daing na bangus takes the backseat), I had Tapa. It is served with 2 sunny side up eggs, achara, and fried rice. The tapa is tasty and good. Though I prefer if its a bit well done.

My companion ordered his Longganisa Pandesal. I get a bite of it, and its good than what I expected. Longganisa is a bit sweet.

But the highlight of our dining is the Kesong Puti in Pandesal. 2 pcs is served per order. Its good and addicting. Its a perfect breakfast, the kesong puti is creamy and I miss the taste of it! Its been quite a while. I enjoyed it.

Lastly, 2 thumps up for the brewed coffee.

P.S. Place is opened to City Club members only.

Breakfast at the City Club last Sunday. We were at the place at around 8:30 AM. Had breakfast at the Balesin Islander. I had my favorite Daing na Bangus, that comes with 2 sunny side up eggs, sliced tomatoes & lettuce and atchara on the side, and since its weekend cheatday, so I had a cup of fried rice. The meal is so filling, such a hearty one since I didn't get to eat rice lately. And to complete the morning, I had brewed coffee , that was so good that I ordered another one right after.

It was so nice to dine outside, at the poolside. Its a perfect morning date128522

The tocino didn't taste the same as the last time we ate there. It was so red, it looked like they put too much coloring. 128527

The halo- halo was really good! They didn't scrimp on ingredients. 128076

Sunday fam lunch at City Club 128516 We usually eat in Hai Shin Lou so I suggested we try something different. Pinoy food cravings lead us to Balesin Islander. It's at the 6th floor, with a spacious indoor and outdoor dining area and a very nice view of the pool. 128525 I bet it's super nice here at night.

Been wanting to eat tocino the past weeks and I was glad to see that they serve all day Filipino breakfast here. I ordered this and it didn't disappoint. 128077 The tocino was homemade so it didn't taste like it has preservatives. Not bad for P150, served with garlic rice and egg. 128522 My mom ordered lechon kawali, pinalutong na tilapia and veggies for sharing. We didn't have any leftovers! Sarap! 128517

For dessert, we got an order of halo-halo to share. 128076

Took home another order of lechon kawali, plus sisig and beef steak. 128055 #whatistakaw
