Completely forgot to review this place!

Another restaurant we visited in Pureto Princesa, whose claim to fame is the bird's nest soup... The soup was okay for me, nothing really special... But what stood out was how slow the service was! We were seated on the second floor of the outdoor bahay kubo, so it added to the difficulty of finding a waiter... Plus it was so hot in this resto, granted we were there during lunchtime... 9728️ Even if the food was okay, the looking for servers and the order taking such a long time ruined the experience for me...128563

One of the worst meals I have had anywhere ever. Ordered the chicken sandwich and the seafood soup. The chicken sandwich was almost literally a triple decker mayonnaise sandwich. There was almost no chicken at all. It really was ridiculous. He soup was clearly from a can and had almost no seafood in it. Just a salty creamy mess.

If you read my reviews I think I'm usually pretty reasonable. I'm not going to give 1 star bc of an average service issue or just somewhat sub par food. This was truly a bad meal.

Balinsasayaw is a bird and a local restaurant's name in Palawan. They offer the famous Balinsasayaw Soup (Bird's Nest Soup) and its delicious! :)

Previous reviews are paid and hypocrites... Foods are definitely not worth any of my hard earned cents... Overcooked everything topped with sky high prices, child portion servings... Too bad :(

Very nice staff and good food. We enjoyed the night staying in their kubo style resto.

Was looking forward to get the bulalo noodles, but they were all sold out. Then pork liempo and another pork rice dish were also sold out. Settled on a pork rib with rice. I was disappointed given the size of my rib and it was also overcooked, too dry, and hard to chew. A disappointing dinner.

The place was okay (i had high expectations of the place since the balinsasayaw branch in cavite/tagaytay is so beautiful), but a bit crowded and very far from the image that the cavite/tagaytay branch is portraying. Service was quite slow (understandable because we came in during lunch hour but they can still improve, i hope they do). Lastly, the food, was superb!!! My grandparents and I ordered pineapple rice, Balinsasayaw chicken, and fish (i forgot what the dish is called). Everything was worth the wait!

I like the taste of all the food we ordered here. The bulalo that's good for 5-6 persons sharing, their best seller "Balinsasayaw Chicken", Grilled Liempo, the scalops, the fresh fruits and the fruit shakes. Very good nipa hut dining place. The only limitation is wheelchair accessibility. There is only one nipa hut place that is accessible for disabled people.

Puerto Princesa is dubbed as the city in a forest, so is Balinsasayaw Manalo Restaurant. The place looks like a haven of Filipino food in a mini forest.

But here's my review of the restau:

Their fried tanigue is dry and slightly malansa.

The beef steak is tasty but the beef is chewy. It doesn't melt in the mouth. In short, matigas. But the dish is delicious.

The grilled tuna isn't that great either. Much to my disappointment, really.

The raspberry iced tea tastes like kool-aid with too much sugar.

But they have their saving grace--ensaladang talong.

I liked their ensaladang talong, because:
1. It's cheap;
2. The serving is good for two people; and
3. It's freaking ensaladang talong. I mean, seriously, what's not to like about ensaladang talong?

If it weren't for their fast service, friendly staff, reasonable price, and hands down homey ambiance, I would have given the restaurant a two-star rating.

I don't know whether I'm disappointed because I ordered the wrong food choices or because I just have high expectations from Balinsasayaw (Blame the good reviews I read online).
