First dinner we had in Tagaytay and it was super worth it. I recommend this restaurant for their Meat Lover's Platter and the cool dining experience!

You may choose to dine in their common area where the usual long tables and chairs are. Or you may ask to be placed in one of their private huts "kubo". I'd recommend the latter! The huts differ in size, and you'll be assigned to one depending on how many are in the group.

We were too hungry and ordered the Meat Lover's Platter or Bilao right away. It consists of:
- grilled pork liempo
- Ilocos bagnet
- crispy pata
- pork sisig
- fried chicken
- kare-kare

They are serious when they say MEAT LOVER! Everything in that bilao tasted really good and yummy! Most underwheling dish for me would be the fried chicken and kare-kare. The rest were yum!

Check out the photos for their huts! Complete with nets to keep them mosquitoes away!

One downside is the service. We had to wait long before being accommodated. They had this bell to call the server's attention but we had to ring that again and again. 128514

A good place to catch good Filipino grilled meat when you're in Tagaytay! 128077🏻

More than the food, it was the place that made it worth a try. I just loved the nipa huts set up in a garden full of a plethora of flowering plants. It was refreshingly beautiful! Plus it gives us a sense of privacy given the distance of the nipa huts are enough to not overhear other diner's conversations. Unless you speak too loud.

As for the food, I'd say it's the reason why I'm just giving Balinsasayaw a 3-star rating. They were not very impressive.

We ordered the following:

127860 Bulalo (565 php) - It was not hot enough when served. It could be better if they would use a portable butane to keep the soup piping hot. But what disappointed me the most was the missing bone marrow! Bulalo ain't a bulalo without this, is it?!128557

127860 Baked Scallops (235 php) - This was actually flavorful but the serving was too small. Only 6 pcs for 235 php. I wanted more!🙁

127860 Balinsasayaw Rice (225 php) - This was so good you can eat without ulam. The taste of daing (dried fish) was all over the rice that you don't need to add anything else to satisfy your taste buds. However, I think it didn't go well with bulalo because it was so dominant we could not taste the beef anymore. If you're having bulalo, I suggest you go for plain rice instead.128533

127860 Balinsasayaw Shake (125 php) - This was a mango purée topped with ube ice cream. I like the thick, all-natural taste of the ripe mangoes in it. I was just not happy with the serving size and presentation. I would have enjoyed sipping it from a nice pilsner or pousse-café glass better than just the ordinary glassware they've used. Maybe that's just me being a big fan of excellent food plating.128517

The servers were attentive and friendly. I appreciated the fact that the waiter who took our order proactively offered to take a picture of us (me and my boyfriend). He also suggested for us to order just half serving of the bulalo given that it was just the two of us. Half serving was more than enough.128076🏽

Overall, it was still a good experience and I don't regret traveling all the way from Makati just for Balinsasayaw. I would, however, think twice on coming back.

Arguably the best bulalo in Tagaytay! No annoying loud music either unlike Leslie's. Very peaceful area. The huts could use electric fans though especially during summer. But overall, amazing experience!

Bulalo, Baked Tahong, and Grilled Tuna Belly and rice.. All for under 1,000 pesos. Sweet!!

The place was beautiful or shall I say "Instagrammable". We had to wait for i think 30 minutes or more to be seated since it was Valentine's Day when we went there. What we didnt like was they did not take into consideration that we had 2 senior citizens with us who had difficulty to go up that 10 or more big steps stairs to the common dining air. They could have placed us in the nipa hut down stairs, we could wait since we already waited that long. Anyway food was good. If you are looking for a bulalo.place in tagaytay you should try here. Worth the money. 128077

Excellent filipino food at a very affordable price with good servings. We order their best seller bulalo and meatlovers (good for 8 persons) in bilao. We had our lunch in one of their nipa hut which is covered by mosquito net. The place is strikingly beautiful. And our waiter that day did an awesome job, very accommodating. It was one fully tummy day.

We decided to have our lunch here because of good reviews that I've been reading. Except for the ambiance, we were disappointed. They served the appetizer last, the bulalo was cold, we had to keep reminding the waiters our orders. Not even the taste of the food could make up for the sloppy service. Nothing spectacular, I've had better pinakbet during the "Jollijeep" days in Makati CBD. Then 7-pcs of ordinarily fried tawilis for P150 or was it P165... WTH!!! Nagutom lang sa trapik kaya naubos... #NeverAgain

Delectable Filipino cuisine with a very cool ambiance. Even if it's near the road, you would feel like you're in a different area. It's a place where you want to take your balikbayan relatives. Choose the huts if you want a little more privacy instead of the tables in the bigger area.

This is probably one of the best local restaurants in Tagaytay in terms of taste & value.

We've ordered an assortment of foods-- pork, fish, shellfish, sizzlers, & beef. Each order was good in its own right but the crispy pata was the runaway winner with its crispy exterior & amazingly tender meat.

The only downside would be the serving time (it took approximately 25-30 min. for our order to be completed) & that the bulalo was too heavily salted.

By the end of the meal, we estimated our tab would amount to about Php 3,500-4,000 but lo & behold, it's just around Php 2,400 and some change.

Seriously, taste & value-- compared to other well-known local restaurants in Tagayatay, this is definitely a must-try.

Annual Christmas dinner with my favorite people in medschool.

Instead of going to Alabang or Moa, we decided to go to Tagaytay to avoid the traffic caused by the Christmas Shoppers.

The temperature in Tagaytay was about less than 20 degrees. It's a bad idea to wear cardigan because I haven't thought that it would be that cold.128517 I should've brought a hoodie instead of a cardigan.

I still haven't had a picture of how the place looked like but it was a garden with kubos and lights. Food was also good and had really big servings. We were surprised on how big the bangus was. We only paid 230 pesos each and we were 7 that time and we were all so full.

Perhaps one of the coziest places in Tagaytay with your favorite Filipino dishes. This place let's you dine in any of their bahay kubos adorned with flowering plants outside. The nipa huts come in different sizes for different guests ranging from their smallest kubo which can accommodate 4-5 pax to their biggest which can accommodate around 25 pax siguro.

Balinsasayaw has all the best Filipino foods you can think of. I guess their best seller would by crispy pata as all neighboring families in nearby bahay kubos have ordered crispy pata. We didn't get one as we were on a "light" diet.

Kandyce got herself her favorite pansit canton while Espie and I got our tokwa and laing. All dishes were super sarap - a little on the salty side but yes it was really good.

Service is also good, faster than most restaurants of the same kind.

Visit this place for lunch or an early dinner. I'm side you'll love the ambiance!

Great place to eat when you're craving for Filipino food. They have a great selection of different Filipino dishes available in different bilao sets. I personally loved the squid and shrimp! The only disappointing thing was how the waiter had to come back thrice because all the fruit shakes I had ordered weren't available..... Even mango.

Service was great and food was not pricey. Great for big groups. Definitely going back!

The platter of milkfish (Bangus), pork belly (Liempo), crabs, squid (Inihaw na Pusit), Lumpiang Shanghai served with Cream of Mushroom Soup and rice good for 8 persons is a must! Their Bulalo soup is a bit salty but the beef is tender and fresh

Been here many times and what I really like about this restaurant is their place, the nature friendly ambiance. How awesome it is to get to eat in a place with fresh air not coming from an air conditioner! I love the crispy pata, it was crunchy, tasty, not that oily, soft..just perfect! Best crispy pata I've ever had so far. Must try! However, the salad was nothing, it was like a made-up salad. Very creamy yet very sweet but then the flavors of the filings just did not mix up very well! I can still remember the taste of the shrimp combined with fruits. Regretful on that part. But in totality, they got me!

Went to Tagaytay and ate here at Balinsasayaw. The Bulalo was amazing. With a family of 6, we didn't even finish the big serving. It's very worth it. And you get to eat inside a kubo with plants everywhere! :) i really enjoyed it. :)

Refreshing.. With all the green plants and nipa huts around.. I will come back again. And this guy, kuya rick, our dear and patient waiter, was kind and fast enough to attend to all our needs. Keep it up!
