Whenever I plan of food crawls, I wouldn’t consider Baliwag as one of our stops as its roasted chicken is something I could get anywhere. Hence when Baliwag was our first stop in our Marikina food crawl, I was a bit dazed by it. I even considered skipping this stop and head straight to the next one. But I was so glad that I didn’t and let me tell you why.

Hello, Baliwag Grill & Restaurant!

Thanks to the crazy Saturday traffic, we got to the spacious sit down Baliwag restaurant one hour later than expected. And we were greeted by bad news as soon as we stepped inside, rather, the al fresco dining area. The air conditioned area was closed for an event and we had no choice but to enjoy Manila’s humidity during lunch.

Glasses of service were served within 5 minutes but everything else took way longer than acceptable. Our plates and utensils were given to us after 15 minutes and our food were served one by one after roughly 40 minutes. Some of us even turned hangry already.

First served was a beautiful plate of Baliwag’s specialty, Roasted Chicken (PHP285) with a small bowl of gravy.

It was nicely roasted though some parts of the meat were slightly pinkish which made me a bit squeamish. The meat was also a bit dry.

The Pancit Bihon (PHP315, small | PHP505, medium | PHP705, large) was a crowd favorite. It had a hefty serving of chopped veggies and pork bits making each bite crunchy and enjoyable. I drizzled mine with some calamansi juice and it was love at first bite. It would have been better though with some pepper.

I also liked the Pork Sisig (PHP180). I was surprised that a place that specializes in roasted chicken could serve mean sisig. The thing I loved the most with this sizzling plate is that it was crunchy. I absolutely love crunchy sisig!

The Lechon Kawali (PHP190) was also delightful. I had a blast munching on its crunchy skin and juicy meat. It was just a tad too fatty though so I wasn’t able to eat much of the portion I got.

Another delightful surprise that day was Baliwag’s Kare-Kare (PHP190). Again, I had no idea that Baliwag offers this Pinoy favorite and its taste does not disappoint. It had a lot of beef tripe (tuwalya) and veggies which I liked. Though I’ve tried better kare-kare elsewhere, its price point was a winner!

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Though I didn’t really like eating at the al fresco area during lunch time, the food served was good and definitely value for money. They just need to work on their service as the wait was a bit too much.

Back again to one of our favorite sulit resto in Marikina. Baliwag Lechon And Restaurant Grill. Located at Bayan Bayanan Ave in Concepcion Marikina. Baliwag known for lechon manok and liempo has its restaurant already for long time. We've been eating here before for so many times.

We decided to have our lunch here the other day. We got solo pancit , baliwag lechon manok and liempo. The place is not crowded and spacious , and of course affordable and accept credit card.

Chicken lovers never get tired of looking for the yummiest chicken that they will never ever forget. May it be the famous wings, fried ones, roasted types and more, delicious chicken is worth all the calories that you can have in your body.

I am such a fan of roasted chicken and I have my forever favorite which is the oven baked Chooks-To-Go but it wouldn't be harmful trying on something else. So, I am certain that a lot of Pinoys love Baliwag Lechon Manok too. And yes, it's something really good, too.

With its perfectly roasted chicken skin comes out the juiciness of its roasted sauce. Once you chop/slice it, you'll see the whiteness of the chicken, tender and really chewy, made even better when you dip it with some lechon manok sauce! I actually love pouring the sauce into the rice and mixing it, makes the eating experience harder to say no to!

For only P280+, you'll surely have a good main dish, either for lunch or dinner, that can be shared by the whole family!

It has been a long tiring day last Saturday! So because I was dead tired hubby treat us for dinner at Baliwag so I won't need to cook.

Ordered Lomi soup because it was cold that time because it rain so hard and we need to keep our bodies warm then baliwag lechon manok plus liempo .

Super sulit dito. Bill was just around 600-700 pesos and di mo maubos sa sobrang dami and the left overs we decided to bring it home .

Supposed to visit my mother in law last Ash Wednesday but it was cancelled so hubby and us check out the new Savory branch in Concepcion in Marikina but the place was to small and they don't accept credit cards.

End up again at Baliwag Lechon Manok and Resto in Concepcion Marikina. Kami lang ang customer when we arrived. Ordered pancit, lechon manok and liempo. Now they no longer have wifi here , glad they have TV so I won't miss what's happening sa teleserye na Honesto. It was a quick dinner, kelangan umuwi para maabutan ko ang last few days ng Got To Believe in Magic! Haha128540

It was so boring last Saturday and still very upset and worried of our planned trip. Just stay the whole day at my room then finally at night we go out to have dinner to one of our fave place near our area . Baliwag grill and resto . Every time we can't think of any new food trip we usually end up here .

The place was huge and not crowded so we like it then we ordered our all time fave baliwag lechon manok then pancit, then rice. Di nakakasawa ang lechon manok na ito.The kids ordered shakes while me I tried to cool down myself for having a bad mood so I ordered a large halo-halo and would you believed it cost 170 pesos. So pricey!

Btw they have wifi here too
