Tried the server's recommendation - currywurst. It was ok. Wouldn't mind going back to try their other offerings.

Their sausages are lovely! But the potato salad is too mustard-y. All this for just 190/set! 128077

A German pub experience, well not literally German ambiance, but what they served are I think some kinda authentic food, like Doner and my fave are Radler and Dirty Beer a mixed of Beer, Soda and Lemon I asked the server what kind of Soda they used she said "Sir Secret po" ok maybe the owner afraid to copy what they started.

Location: Kalayaan Ave Makati City near CenturyCityMall
Ambiance: ok not that appealing to me.
Food: five star for the preparation and for the taste.

Must try: Radler Beer and Doner

Get their Doner - really good and tender beef with tangy garlic yogurt sauce. It's quite big actually - good enough for P180.

A relatively cheap hole-in-the-wall type of resto which serves German beer and sausages (wurst). Don't look for ambience here as there's very little of it. The menu is pretty limited which suits the small place and the lean staff of two.

Ordered German beer (see picture) which was nice, though nothing extraordinary.

Also had their Traditional German Beef Doner. Found out that a Doner is actually a Turkish kebab (roasted seasoned meat) placed in bread pockets. It was supposedly brought to Germany through Berlin. Now there are reportedly more doner stands in Berlin than in Istanbul.

The doner I had tasted like shawarma in sweet white bread, with some leafy greens, tomatoes, and a white sauce, which was lighter than mayo and had a hint of some indian or mexican spice to it. I was okay but nothing special.

The other dish we had was the Currywurst. It was nothing but a sausage with curry sauce on it with a side of potato chips.

All in all an average, unremarkable meal in an unexceptional place.

This is the "wurst" place to go to for some German sausages and German beer.

The place is small with simple wooden tables and red synthetic leather upholstered wooden chairs. No frills or drama. The place being at The Collective caters to a younger hip and rebellious artsy crowd. It's a cluster of artsy and funky boutique shops, small hole-in-the-wall restos that serves relatively cheap food and bars that serves relatively cheap beers. I guess its a quarter where the young creative crowd hang.

Bamm serves wursts, sandwiches, fish and chips and beer. Their specialty wurst is the currywurst. It's just grilled wurst with their version of curry sauce drizzled on top of it. The curry sauce is a bit sour which is unusual to me. I don't particularly like it. The wurst is okay. Tastes like the ones from Earle's Delicatessen. An order of that comes with either chips or rice and a piece of honey bread (P180). I went with chips. It's just regular potato chips. Honey bread is toast drizzled with honey. They also serve Doner Sandwich which is similar to shawarma in sandwich form. They've got moussaka in their menu too. Didn't get to try it.

Tried their Bitburger Premium Beer (P99) ... tastes like pale pilsen with a bit stronger taste. They also have "home brewed" (more like "home mixed") beer called The Radler. It's a beer based mix drink made of several beers and lemonade or soda with a slice of lemon. According to one of the boards at Bamm, this drink has had a long history in German speaking regions. It's some kind of a popular summer time refreshment. How does it taste like? A soda diluted beer with hints of lemon. A day-time beer drink (as a soda is) I guess. But beer lovers would think this is a blasphemy against the sanctity of beer. 128540

There was just one lady server when we were there at lunch time. But she was accommodating and served us well.

Me and my friends always eat here! Our favorites are the Traditional Chicken Doner and the Currywurst (with rice or chips, depends on our mood). We usually order chips on the side with curry sauce. Yum! The food really reminds me of my supershort stay in Berlin.

Oh, and im not much of a beer person, but you MUST try their house beer! I forgot what it's called (as i said, not a beer person) but it tastes so good!

Friendly staff, good food at great prices :) 10084
