What are the 3 things that come to mind when you think of Ayala Triangle?

1. Lights & Sounds/ Festival of Lights
2. Running/Jogging
and 3. Banapple restaurant

Food 11088110881108811088
🔵 My go to food will always be their Bacon fried chicken steaks with milk'shroom gravy. I just love their crispy chicken fillets and their creamy milk and mushroom gravy + the corn. Hmmm sana mas madaming bacon bits. I also felt this dish changed/ it doesn't taste the same. I don't know maybe because I haven't been here for awhile
🔵 Their classic smoothies are always spot on. I also like their fudgy banana.

Place/ Ambience/ Service 11088110881108811088
- It's still the same place but you would already see that it needs some repairs/improvement
- Still very cozy, homey
- Went their for breakfast so it was not that busy

It has been years since I last dined here. I knew that I would instantly be full with any of their dishes. All of their offers are just simply packed and delicious which makes it value for your money. I tried their Buttermilk Fried Chicken since it was new to me (not sure if it really is a new offer). I found the chicken to be juicy with having that crispy skin. Really yummy! 128523 And yeah, still very filling after all these years. Just look at how my plate almost overflows. 128517

128149Date for Two: Sirloin Garlic Beef Tapa – P245, Trio of Sausages Fettuccine – P250, Oreo Brownie Cheescake – P150
128140Total: P645

Overall: For a quick lunch date at the heart of Makati, Banapple is one of our top choices. It’s so nice to know that Banapple has come a long way from their small bakery along Katipunan Extension to lots of branches around the country now. On the other hand, this means the blowing up of the price! Yay! We remember eating this in college (hey, not so long ago haha) when their tapa is just around P150. Now it’s a hundred bucks more. Oh well, we still love and crave it. Their tapa is one of the best. And the eggs that come with it are the cherries on top. It’s just so creamy and fluffy and milky, the egg itself can actually be a main dish 🤤128525 Ughhh, drooling aside, another classic favorite is their Trio pasta. It’s packed with, well, lots of sausages! Can’t tell which sausages but we can clearly identify Hungarian. It’s so so good, and heavy. We never finished this plate so we had this for takeout. Lastly, the cake is still divine! Tops for consistency! Except for the price though. Haha! And oh, since the place is located in the middle of the busy city, come their at your earliest. This is a very small branch that gets loaded in an instant. Air conditioning needs improvement too. 128517

Value for money: Worth it! Cake is a bit expensive now.

It’s been a year since I ate in Banapple but I remember them for their consistently huge servings (I always had to have some for take-out since I couldn’t finish everything) and quality comfort food. I ordered the Chicken Parmigiano and was disappointed to see that along with their increase in price came with a decrease in portions. The fillet was flat and mostly just breading. I hope that this was just a bad day.

Also found out that their pies are now priced at 65 from 50 and are considerably smaller in size than before. ☹️

Be prepared for long lines and slow service especially during lunch and dinner hours.

Banapple is an easy option for a filling meal whether brunch, dinner or snacks. Unfortunately, like everybody else through the years their prices have slowly increased. The serving size also changed and sometimes no longer consistent. Anyhow, we ordered the Hickory Ribs, Tapa and Chicken Parmigiano.

The hickory ribs are good. Soft and tender with lots of sweet barbeque sauce. Good serving size with lots of ribs for sharing even after that hefty rice. Chicken parmigiano is good also though there are some parts that’s not covered with the sauce and cheese. I like the half cooked carrots thought quite a struggle to bite. Their tapa still delivers!! We always enjoy the creamy scrambled egg with juicy tapa on the side. Having it with vinegar is always a must!!

Service was a little slow which is expected since this branch is small but with high demands as always. We were seated outside but was gladly assisted by the staffs on assembling the tables and opening the fans for us. It’s always best to be early since the place is always jammed.

This branch is always packed and it’s understandable since they’re located in Makati CBD.

Savory Tuna Pie - This is affordable considering the size of it. I love the creamy tuna. The spiciness into it was tolerable. It actually added more flavor to it.

Creamy Cheesy Pene - Cheesy and creamy, yes. But I find the taste change. It used to be much flavourful and the sauce wasn’t as red as it is before. But still a good dish.

Banoffee Pie - Favourite! Every time I’m here, I will always order one. The thick caramel and white icing totally are mesmerising. This didn’t change and I love it!

Had Sunday breakfast here and decided to order Chocolate Peanut Butter pancakes and coffee. The pancakes were okay. I regret not ordering pasta because I looooove Banapple's Baked Cheesy Penne and Lasagna Roll-ups! Haha. 10084️ Oh well.

What I didn't like about this branch though was that it was really hot inside and there were flies. Sayang. In hope they clean the place up. But for now, I'm giving this branch 3 stars.

Came here when I was extremely hungry and craving for some comfort food. All is good except that I should've ordered sausage because I wanted something more salty. 128077🏻

Best chicken pie I've had so far. Pay only PhP30 if you're getting it with the potato salad, but it's priced at PhP50.

After a long and tiring day I decided to stroll around Ayala looking a place to eat and while searching at Zomato I found a nearby restaurant that could satisfy my cravings and it won't even hurt my pocket lol. I was so curious on trying out Banapple since my friend already ate here back then, so out of curiosity and some research I've finally came to the decision of eating here though Ayala Triangle Park has lots of restaurants in one corner!

Back to the review, seating was convenient (you actually don't need a reservation or maybe because it was night time), accomodating staff, fast service and the food was excellent. I was surprised with the Penne Bolognese being that many! The serving size was for two people but only for P200 and the Gobblin' Goblin Cake was good, I wasn't even able to finish it because I was already full with the Penne Bolognese. I recommend this to everyone who wants big serving sizes at a reasonable prize! Just avoid lunch breaks. The interior looks really nice, it felt like home to me!

Overall rating: 10/10, definitely going back here!! #Halloolooween2016

Their beef salpicao is quite different than the usual... This one's sweet and salty. Haha! I liked it but I still prefer the beef salpicao which is garlicky and salty. 128077🏼

This Apple Caramel Crumble cake is better at second time around 128525
The first time I tried this cake is I chose it to served warm and I did not liked it as it has bitter taste effect from apple. Not until last night, I chose it as it is(cold as it was refrigerated), and it was waaaay beyond i remember it tasted. I love it at this time. 128525 Of course we also had Banoffee pie and as usual, I love it as always 10084127856

I do not know If I am the only one who doesn't know these but there are already Junior Chicken Pies and Junior Tuna Pies available for sale! They have the same taste from the original only difference is the size. Kudos to Banapple for thinking about small eaters! 128513

I am a constant fan of Banoffee pie of Banapple Pies & Cheesecakes which has been my comfort food and my personal unbeatable top pick for cakes. I always tend to compare and it has become my baseline. Price, size and quality wise is so incomparable!

With a price of P115 the size can be good enough for two. And the taste? 128525128525128525 I sooo love the base crust and the caramel blend with banana and chocolate and whipped cream. It is just so sweet and perfect at the same time. 128513

A must-try in Banapple 128521

I ordered the Bacon Fried Chicken Steaks with Milk'shroom Gravy (P205). 3-5 pieces of fried chicken fillets with milk and mushroom gravy were topped with bacon pieces. This viand was served with garlic rice and corn relish.

It was okay. To be honest, the chicken was kinda of bland and the gravy was not really that tasty. I regretted not ordering the Garlic Beef Tapa. 128557 Oh well. 128557
