Since my partner loves coffee and it is imperative that she gets to taste the coffee in almost every place we visit. This time in Sagada, she would not dare miss to get to try the world's most expensive coffee, the Civet Coffee.

This coffee comes from the droppings (poop) of the civet cat. Some call it coffee alamid, others kopi luwak. I, myself is not a coffee drinker at all so I just tried a teaspoonful. For me it's bitter which I guess is the generic taste of coffee. My partner says it is strong and sweet.

A small cup costs PHP200.00, indeed expensive.

All these trips to mountains and other places way above sea level lead to a variety of dishes seldom seen or offered in lowlands. So obviously, the most logical dishes to try in this particular restaurant near our hotel would be dishes made with raw materials coming from the immediate vicinity of the region… like fish! Haha Still makes me wonder how they can have so much stock of fish daily up here. I can just imagine the daily delivery of fish coming from the lower regions where there are sources and habitats of seafood. Good job to the hardworking logistics arm of these establishments or suppliers. Anyway, I decided to order the fried boneless bangus and yogurt with fruits. I find it very interesting that one of the most common things to order here in the cold area of Sagada is yogurt + x where x is a fruit. Must have been the “dish” of the month during my visit.

Food was great. I liked their bangus very much, well cooked. It was a healthy serving as well given the price it was sold for. So value for money is definitely a big check! The yogurt tastes different from the store bought ones since the restaurant makes its own yogurt. The yogurt was still very delicious although slightly different in terms of taste. It provides an excellent base for the add-on of fresh fruits which when combined together results into one of the go-to desserts in this place.

The place is very homey, although I later found out that it was really a home. I believe it was an old house converted into a restaurant like most of the restaurants in Sagada. We stayed outside so that we could see the calming view while being embraced by the very comforting weather. Order one of their hot drinks since given the low temperature, a hot drink could make your visit perfect.

The owners and staff were very friendly. We were there nearing closing time but we still had a chance to have a quick chat with the family who owned the place.

That’s it! I think this is a must visit when you’re in Sagada. Take care everyone!

Our go-to breakfast place in Sagada. They offer pancake meal and rice meals plus coffee - Sagada brew and civet coffee!

Their pancakes are home-made and you can choose between plain, carrot, and banana. I enjoyed their carrot pancakes...didn't even taste like carrots! 128514 Their orange marmalade is also home-made.

The good thing about Bana's, besides the fact that it's beside our homestay, is that you can smell freshly roasted coffee while eating! Because the roasting room is just beside the eating area! I'm no coffee lover but I convert into one when I'm in the Cordilleras! 10084

Price range 120-300php. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

You buy Sagada coffee here (ground/beans) for 150php a pack. Also, civet coffee which is around 1800php. Plus other goodies such as cookies and oatmeal bars and even chili sauce!

The best breakfast place in Sagada. I ordered Banana Pancakes with a side if bacon, orange marmalade, more banana and slices of orange. Their brewed coffee is the best in Sagada! They also sell coffee beans and ground coffee. My aunt ordered their lemongrass and mint coffee which is also good! Yum!

We got worst dinner here in Sagada. Chicken curry is bland, beans in the chopsuey were not cut properly and the rice was overcooked and very moist. Wont be coming back, sorry :(. Place and service need for improvement.

Affordable breakfast meals.

Staffs are kinda grumpy and service is slow but bearable, place needs renovation and needs to be cleaned more pero Kaya pang mag timpi.

My cousins liked their spaghetti but for me there's nothing especial. Warning with the chicken strips, it's dry.

Their omelet especially the mushroom and cheese is something that makes me miss home. And incredible, they wrap a a whole banana with their humungous pancake for their banana pancake. And most breakfast sets are with their homemade orange jam.

P.s. They sell civet coffee here and according to Mama Mary (residential inn's owner), they got the best coffee in town, arabica and the other, and they got it in small packs for pasalubongs :)

another from sagada. one of the cheapest in the place but still serves a good bulk on a plate. I'll tell you now, their downside is they lack politeness. nakasimangot lahat including the owner.

with regards to the food, pork chop is well breaded and well fried but tough to eat. chicken tenders are tender but dry. pancake is moist with a right sweetness and the plus is their homemade orange jam. I dont really eat jam and am not really fond of orange but this one crazed me. on the other hand their spaghetti is the opposite of it, I love spaggetti but I dont think their version was good so ill not order it again here. And lastly, their omelet is thin but the filling is good, cheesy and the mushrooms gave that perfect caramelization that added a good flavor to the dish.

place is not so tidy but can do. overall I will eat here again on my next visit, presumably on the last day of trip where there comes monetary narrowness for me and my friends.
