One night after watching a movie, Ony and I went here. It was a choice between the classic or the lemongrass pork. We decided to get the lemongrass for something new and unique.

Lemongrass Pork Banh Mi. (full - 149 • half - 99)

Bread - Crunchy. Best banh mi bread for me! 128076🏼 They really know how to toast bread. 128518128077🏼

Filling - Vietnamese BBQ pork, pate, cucumber, pickled radish and carrot, mayo, hoisin sauce.

I liked the protein monster before (when I tried it during my first visit) but sadly, this one was not as good as I expected. Not sure if it's because it was almost closing time that the ingredients weren't that generous anymore (pork and pate).. That the whole banh mi tasted and felt lacking. Bitin yung lasa. Plus, they added way too many cilantro. 128563128528

Though the bread was crunchy and good, I think I'll still go with the classic (I still haven't tried it but I think that it's better) or the protein monster. 128517

60 pesos for Iced Vietnamese Coffee? Yep, you read that right!

This cup is being sold at 60 pesos for the regular size. Banh Mi Kitchen’s iced coffee reminded me of the iced coffee I tasted in Vietnam - SUPER STRONG. It’s so strong, you might not be able to taste the milk. It was effective in keeping me up because it took me the whole morning to finish this as the taste was really strong.

Banh Mi Kitchen now has a cute little stall at the ground floor of Bonifacio Stopover. This is their 2nd branch but this is the first time I’m trying it out.

I had half of The Classic Banh Mi, priced at PhP99. It consisted of Vietnames ham, roast pork, pate, cucumber, pickled radish and carrot, mayo, cilantro, and hoisin sauce inside of a crunchy baguette. Despite my lack of enthusiasm towards cilantro, I still liked it. It was good and reasonably priced too. 128077🏼

It's good but the pate is a bit overwhelming to the taste bud

I ordered their Protein Monster (P129 for half Banh Mi) last week. Full of their meats, I loved the combination of the 4 protein sources: Vietnamese ham, Vietnamese barbecue pork, fluffy egg and roast pork, plus their veggies, hoisin sauce and pate! 128513 5 stars in my book! The ham and barbecue pork have sweetness while the roast pork gives the smokiness, and the egg and cucumbers the texture, and the hoisin and pate added flavor. 127775127775127775127775127775

As you can see, I tried it in Burgos Circle whilst enjoying the view, the breeze despite it being noontime, and, oh, while battling all these Pokémon's, this area being a prominent Pokémon Go Gym after all. 128514

I also tried their Lemongrass Pork (P99 for half) last night to try my 4th of their 6 sandwiches (only remaining ones for me to try are the Kani Bonito and the Beef Rendang). I did not taste the lemongrass I was expecting but it was quite nice, it's Vietnamese barbecue pork as the core protein, and the rest were the same, veggies, pate and hoisin sauce. Probably won't order this on a regular basis compared with the classic and aforementioned protein monster. 128521 1277751277751277751/2

What I love about Banh Mi Kitchen is truly its crunchy bread. Like I said in my earlier review, #crunchtest is a perfect hash tag for #BMKN

Tips for those who don't reside or work nearby, since this BMKN does not have any chairs, go order a drink in Family Mart nearby in the other end of Stopover and enjoy your banh mi there. Or there is a Pokémon Gym on that frontage of Bonifacio Stopover, at a parking lot between Rizal Drive and 3rd Ave. Stand there and multi-task. 128522

"The Classic" sandwich

It tastes good but there's so much going on when it's in your mouth... My taste buds isn't used to it but I almost finish eating the whole thing... 128521

I still recommend it... You might like it!

My first bite... Yes! My first bite made this sandwich to look forward and for me is one of the best sandwich I've ever tasted. Grabe ang sarap nya lang sobra... Actually I don't really like celery but this one compliments with the sandwich I ordered at Banh Mi Kitchen.

Banh Mi Kitchen main product is a bread from Vietnam called Banh Mi, a baguette introduced by French.

For Php189.00 I tried one of their bestsellers Wagyu Tapa Banh Mi (Tender Wagyu Tapa, Fluffy Omelette, Pate, Mayo, Cucumber, Pickled Radish and Carrot)

Wagyu Tapa - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5

The Banh Mi Kitchen I visited is located at Bonifacio Stopover, BGC, Taguig City. They also have branch at SM Megamall.

Thanks to Abe C and Mary Love S for recommending the sandwich place.

I will go back again to try the classic flavor.

Using the vouchers from foodgrammer.ph, Ony and I went here one night for dinner.

Honestly, because of the mixed reviews, I was not expecting that much from Banh Mi Kitchen. My friend also told me that Banh Mi Kitchen's not so good and it's not worth the try. But since we have free vouchers, I guess it's still worth the try! 128523128518

Just recently, Ony and I were both able to try Bon Banh Mi and we enjoyed it!! According to a lot of reviews, Bon Banh Mi's the best. 128513 So I made sure that I get to try the "Best" first before trying other Banh Mi places.

We shared a large order of the Protein Monster Banh Mi (189 large; 129 regular) + Iced Viet Coffee (60).

Protein Monster - Vietnamese BBQ pork and ham, roast pork, fluffy omelette, pate, cucumber, pickled radish and carrot, mayo and hoisin sauce.

The waiting time is a bit long since they still need to prepare and toast the sandwich. I think we waited for about 10-15 minutes. Since the sandwich is long, we asked them to split it into 2 so we can easily eat our share.

Surprisingly, we liked it. It's not the best but it's pretty good and very filling. The sandwich was loaded with different types of meat/ham. Generous serving of crunchy veggies. But would be better if they also add more omelette (just because I love eggs! 128517). Also, since we are not that much into mayo, hoisin and liver pate, maybe we should have asked them if they can lessen the amount just a bit. There was just way too much liver pate added that we can still taste it after finishing the sandwich. But still, we enjoyed it. And according to Ony, he like this one better than Bon Banhmi because of the crunchy bread (Taksil!! 128563128530). Except for the strong rich taste of the pate.

I have to agree with him about the bread. It was what I liked the most. 128076🏼 Guys, it's real!! The crunch test is real! The bread was super crunchy that when you bite into it, you'll really hear the crunch! Kaaliw! 128517128518

As for the coffee, it was strong. It was good but nothing extraordinary. Tasted like the Iced Coffee from Mcdo! 128517

Will I go back? Yes yes!! Can't wait to try the Original and the Lemongrass next time. 128513128077🏼

Well well this rainy day made me feels like to eat Banh Mi so decided to drive thru (not realy drive thru, we stop on road side at stop over and take out) Bahn Mi,

I ordered, Wagyu Tapa & Beef Rendang, with Viet. Ice Tea

128561 the taste of the baguette so soft & chewy 128536 and the flavors all are so good and tasty, vegetables still fresh & the best is after taste effect in my mouth is Lemongrass taste, not greasy & perfect!

(The feeling like, eating BBQ but then left mint lemongrass in the mouth) 128518128518

🔸affordable too.
🔹it's just a kiosk for take out, not a restaurant :)

Oh the Kani and Ice Coffee is not available in the moment, wasted, i'm so want to try the Coffee actually. 128548

My love for Banh Mi started when I first tried Bon Banhmi,  I've been hooked ever since.   Imagine my delight when i found out that Banh Mi Kitchen opens a branch in BGC!

*happydance*

Bonifacio Stopover is a pitstop for yours truly when i want to grab some grub before heading home.  The arrival of Banh Mi Kitchen couldn't be more timely.  It's a small kiosk for all your Banh Mi cravings.

Lemon Grass Banh Mi (php 149 for the large size).  This sandwich is delightful.  The pork is seasoned well and very tender.  I like the lemon grass as it adds a beautiful contrast to the meat.  Each bite is an explosion of flavors.  Crunch from the veggies,  sweet and savory flavor from the pork.   And let us not forget the perfectly toasted baguette.  Mmmm-mmmm.

BMH! Your lemon grass pork banh mi is dynamite! I want more.

I love, love bahn mi's. The crunchy bread, different meat, fresh cilantro, and the mix of pate, hoisin and butter just go well together.

I wanted to get the Classic, with ham and pork, but I just couldn't resist trying the beef stew and the the wagyu tapa for my son. I guess it's their modern take on these subs. I liked that it was meatier than what I get from BB. I requested for more cilantro on mine. The tapa was a bit sweet. Sorry, it did not pass the crunch test. It was a bit crunchy, but not as crunchy as I like it. I do like the innovation. I can see myself coming here if I have a craving. Was really just ok, a high ok for me, hence the 4.

I visited their pop-up in Powerplant, literally looked for it as soon as we stepped in the mall, and I was very saddened that we paid 240 pesos per order here, vs getting them in BGC for only 180. Not sure if there was a difference in serving or if the increase is really just because of the location. I almost wanted to deduct 1 star, because if you're trying to build a brand, maybe consistency even in the pricing should be considered. Their Vietnamese Iced Tea and Coffee though, were very cheap for only 60 pesos.

I'm a frequent patron of Bon Bahnmi (BB), owned by Vietnamese who serve theirs traditionally, just the way you can buy them off the streets of Hanoi for $1. Very cheap at 130 pesos, the bread is definitely crunchier too that you can't eat it without making a mess. If you want cheap and traditional go to BB. If you want a modern take on the bahn mi, do visit BMK.

Banh Mi is bread in Vietnam, very much ingrained in its cuisine and an influence of French colonizers in Indochina. Usually in French baguette. I've been hearing this from the likes of Jairus d, Reich T, Roy T, Ruth D, Mary Love S and the rest of my looloo friends so I'd been wanting to try this sandwich. And one of their mentions to me is Banh Mi Kitchen.

Great thing that Clarissa P and Reich went to the newly opened Banh Mi Kitchen in nearby Bonifacio Stopover and I saw Mary's reco to me. Swak! Not too expensive at P99 for a half sandwich. So I got to try it two nights ago while on a PG run (not Patay Gutom but the new PG, Pokemon Go 128521) and I super loved it.

Less than 10 minutes after I ordered, I got the buzzer vibrating to tell me my order is ready!

It was affordable and filling for P99. Had to stop myself from ordering the Wagyu and picked The Classic para original and best seller muna (there's always the next day).

With Vietnamese Ham, pork strips and vegetables with mayo and hoisin sauce, the symphony of flavors were so good in my mouth. Very light and pleasant. The veggies were fresh, crunchy, and I super love that the bread was not too dense like the original French baguette. My front teeth would have been punished if it was. 128547 The bread was crunchy, warm and still soft enough to chew and eat. With bad front teeth like mine, I found it soft enough. Solid!

#crunchtest is the perfect hash tag for Banh Mi Kitchen because I loved the outer crunch while the more airy / less dense bread was perfect to me. Loved it. I wasn't into Banh Mi before but now I'm sold. Love the influence of friends to open my palette to new things. I'm not normally into sandwiches, but this makes me reconsider my position. 128518

P.S. This is a stall, so eat where you want. There are benches nearby, or bring it into Family Mart and buy a drink, or go back to them PokéStops! Hahaha. 128515

Yaaasssss! Another new not-so-guilty pleasure near the office. Banh Mi sandwiches are relatively healthy, right?? Right?!?!? Haha!

I had the Protein Monster, which was your basic Banh Mi loaded with 'palaman'. I believe they threw in some pork, ham, egg, and bbq roasted pork in this one. Love the crunch of the baguette on this one. Crunchy on the outside and soft enough on the inside. The hoisin sauce and liver spread pate nicely held all these protein sources all together. Wish they placed a tad bit more pate though. Coffee was just alright in my book, would have preferred more condensed milk.

Overall this is one banh mi i'd go back to. Heck i'd even try their other not-so-banh-mi sandwiches given the chance!

I have been eying Banh Mi Kitchen for a while now but it being in SM Megamall discourages me from trying it out. Just thinking about the horrific parking mayhem and the insane crowd make me cringe. So when I found out that they opened a kiosk in BGC Stopover, I jumped and twirled with glee!

Hello, Banh Mi Kitchen!

It is hard to miss this wooden kiosk located at BGC Stopover ground floor near Jollibee and Bono Gelato. The warm hues and friendly staff sure lured us just like those Poke Stops.

R and I got some gift certificates (for one regular banh mi and drink) from Foodgrammer.ph and I decided to use mine right away. I went with Wagyu Tapa banh mi (PHP189 | PHP129) and Iced Milk Tea (PHP60).

My sandwich was prepared in less than 10 minutes and soon, a beautiful, long and crisp banh mi was served.

It had a nice subtly sweet taste and the wagyu tapa was succulent. There were just some parts that required a bit more chewing but it was far from being called tough.

The long cucumber strips, carrots and pickled radish added texture and crunch to the sandwich complementing the tenderness of the tapa and the fluffiness of the omelette. The mayo and pate made the whole thing smooth. Sadly, the former overpowered the latter. Maybe I should have asked for more pate.

Banh Mi Kitchen has been actively promoting its crunchy bread and you'd often see the hashtag #crunchtest in most, if not all, of its posts. And true enough, the bread was crunchy. It was not crumbly or the chewy and tough old baguette type bread.

The milk tea though was a bit of a miss. It was not as good as the other milk tea I get elsewhere. Also, the drink I got was a bit watered down. I can't blame them for that though as it was hot when I visited!

Overall, I loved the sandwich and for PHP189, the sandwich was good for sharing or for two meals. I'd definitely buy again soon! I'll just skip the milk tea and try Banh Mi Kitchen's iced coffee.
