It was scorching hot when we got there around lunch time. It was good because it was just us wandering around the area. A bunch of students came in taking an oral exam to become tour guides around when I decided to ask the examinee about the bell tower. The place was very organized with the people showing you around and the history behind this beautiful bell tower.

Life is like a book, if you do not travel, you read only one page - St. Augustine For our first itinerary for our Day 3 , last day in Ilocos last April 30 was at the Famous Bell Tower. First we went inside the Church to pray and then we have donation as a sort of our entrance at the Bell Tower. But before that, there was this man who took a picture of me in a trick shot. It was a cool photo really. It's one the famous landmark in Vigan. The Church here is known as St. Augustine Parish. The Bantay Bell Tower is the reminder of rich history of the Philippines. The structure really impressed me. The architectural design is really unique and artistic. Im proud of my two kids that they were able to go at the top of the bell tower even if it's so steep to walk at those ladders. It's all worth it when you reach the top . Thanks to Ilocos Heritage Travel and Tours for bring in us here."

This was the first stop when we visited Ilocos. Too bad there are a lot of people during our visit, I can't take decent picture of the Bantay Bell Tower.

One of the best trips I've had this year was with my super awesome and fun friends! 128522

We stopped by this belfry before heading to Vigan. Manong van driver was kind enough to take us here as a side trip. It was really not part of his route. Hiniritan lang namin sya. Haha! 128512

Then there's another manong who offered to take a picture of us, (hey, Ilocanos are really nice! 128522) hence this photo! 128513

This is my 2nd time here, and the place looks more organized compared before. You have to register first before entering the gate. Also, there are people who manage the area now, so that's good. 128077

We haven't had the chance to go up the belfry because we don't want Manong van driver to wait that long for us. Out of courtesy na rin. 9786 The bell tower was packed, too.

The church in front of it looks really ancient, but still beautiful. The place exudes history. Love it! 128522

Gloomy weather made for IG worthy shots at this Belltower. Too bad it was already closing time when we passed by. I heard we could go up the tower. Next time maybe

Starting off our Ilocos trip with a visit at Bantay Bell Tower- one of the oldest structures in Vigan built in 1521!

I suggest if you want to visit this come as early as 6am, the time they open, as this attraction gets a lot of tourists in a span of minutes!

Don't forget to go up the tower as well.
