We always order the chorizo picante frito and cheese platter. New discovery is the Chipirones Encebollados (grilled squid with caramelized onions and shoestring potatoes). Churros con chocolate is still a favorite dessert. 128522

Had date night with the wifey. Barcinos holds a special place in our heart because that's were I proposed to her. That was in Rockwell branch and this was the first time to eat at the Alabang branch.

The good wasn't bad but not as well as the Rockwell branch.

We ordered paella negra, pulpo, Jamon and manchego on toast, chorizo picante, and tortilla de patatas.

The paella negra was good as always! The Jamon and manchego was great as well! Downers were the chorizo picante wc was not crispy but very soggy... We asked the kitchen to crisp it up, also the pulpo was bland and forgettable, ( we love octopus btw) and the tortilla de patatas... The potato was still hard.

Sayang but I prefer the old Barcinos but I and my wife will still continue to patronize Barcinos. To the owners please check your branches! Consistency consistency consistency!

I kinda went crazy and thought of treating myself for a nice lunch after some penny pinching moments - and one thing I'm bent on is that that meal has to be something I can enjoy with good wine. And yes even in the sweltering heat of lunch time, I headed to this one place that I heard will not disappoint me when it comes to wine selection. I have also been dreaming of steak for days so I decided to toss a few extra and went all the way. The result was a really satisfying meal. I'm not a wine expert but because I love drinking it and even cooking with it, I can say I have developed my own taste - so I somehow knew that my server, Natalia really knows her product. She recommended Finca Constancia Parcela 23 to go with my medium well rib-eye and I, asked for seconds. The finish of the wine made me enjoy even the garnish! Overall, I was one happy customer who will surely come back for more.

Cozy and neat. This is a nice place to hang out in after a stressful day at work and you just want to unwind with a glass good wine.

This branch rarely gets crowded which is a good thing. At least they opened here in the south so we have a good wine bar to go to.

Food is good, sangria is better. They charged us for the starter bread platter with salsa which they served without asking. It's only 75 bucks (plus charges) but that's not the point.

Great Wine selection! You have to try their Chorizo Picante Frito and Paellas. They have great Sangrias to cool you down specially during these hot summer months.

Finally! A Barcino in Alabang!

Been dreaming of their paella negra and calamares here in the quiet suburbs of Alabang, and I'm quite happy about this opening. People are familiar with Barcino as a drinking place, but to be honest, I come here for the food. They have a good collection of spanish/european dishes that are satisfying . Also, their sangria is a must try! I order it everytime I go there, even for lunch.
