You know you're getting old when you meet friends for brunch and end up drinking Sangria and Wine through lunch and late afternoon. 128514

I like how it felt exclusive since no one else except our group was there. Walang ibang maingay kungdi kami. The place is quite small, kaya there's the feeling that we have the place all to ourselves. I haven't been upstairs so I don't know what it's like up there.

Their Paella Negra is on point. And as always, while everyone is chitchatting, I would eat away. Plate by plate. Sige magkwentuhan lang kayo dyan 128513. It was perfect!

The Chorizo Frito has a mild spice. Goes well with red wine too.

We also had the Cheese Platter to pair with the wine. Gotta love 'em cheese and crackers! 128525

Stayed there 'til 6pm. First time ko tinamaan sa Wine at Sangria. 128514

Barcino provides a laidback sit-down version of a chill drinking sesh. It offers beers and cocktails but definitely more a go-to place for wines. Compared to the Butcher Shop and Pub, Barcino is smaller in size, moodier in lighting, and a bit less noisier.

Place was full when my friends and I visited hence, we grabbed the bar area instead. Too bad aircon's busted downstairs so they placed an Iwata cooler instead which I thought blew all the dust towards us!

Anyway, we ordered a pitcher of Sangria. I enjoyed the taste especially with the apple slices all over. We immediately gulped down everything so we ordered another round. Then I realized that the apple slices were fewer for the second pitcher.

Other than the busted aircon, I loved the experience I had in Barcino. Surely it was definitely a good place for long talks.

A lot of people come here to drink and unwind.. Not for me I go here to enjoy the yummeh Spanish menu128522 Their version of cocido is superb!

For the price of 550++ not bad at all it can feed 2 to 3. It has pork, chicken, sausages and a lot of vegetables on a broth with noodles. 128525128525 its a nice feel good comfort food for me. If you guys are a big fan of bulalo or sinigang try this one out very different but definitely good.

Verdict 5/5

Cook better. The red wine did not properly cook on the robo hence the smell and after taste considering it was served 75 minutes after ordering it. When we came in at noon the 2 ground floor tables were done and shortly a group of 4 got the adjacent table. So from my group of 9 and 4, we had a total of, 13. We ordered the cocido, the squid paella, pulpo, the cut up chicken with vegies, the patatas bravas, and the robo. Understandably the paella takes the longest. But the dishes came so far in between and bland you wouldnt think they are the leading importers of spanish products. You cant apologize and serve cut up fruits from the sangria counter. Get your act together if you cant serve 2 tables. The Aura branch was so much better. This one cant even serve up a decent meal excet maybe for the paella negra. These are small dishes. Not even banquet plates.

The squid paella is the best in the metro. The pulpo has gotten better and the prosciutto shitake is a discovery

What's better way to chill on a Friday night with a glass of wine?

We had their Sangria pitcher, it was so good that we had to order another pitcher. It was 800+/pitcher, shared by 5 of us so not bad 128521

I would give 5 stars if only the servers were attentive enough, we had to get their attention several times just so we could order and check out 128532

But overall, it was still a fun experience shared with my awesome friends 128522

Ramon Roquet Tempranillo made my friday night. Dry, not too sweet and smooth. Perfect to jumpstart the weekend.

Cheers to the freaking weekend! Missed hanging out with the EPC Crew! We're getting too old for this shiz but damn, it's fun to hangout and go a little crazy from time to time.

The place is a chill vibe. Love the wines, the ambiance, and their sangria. Omg 128561

Quite pricey though but worth the splurge from time to time 128077

Ordered their Chistorra chorizos which was very good! Although a bit pricey for the serving. Also ordered their Paella Negra. Not good. It lacked flavor and didnt taste like it was cooked the traditional way. Seemed the rice was already cooked and they just added the squid ink sauced and mixed it together. It was soo bad. The service isnt attentive enough and one has to try several times before you can get their attention.

Dont order Paella Negra.

Great tapas that goes well with their collection of wines and spirits. This place is one of our favourite hang out spots during weekdays where my buddies and i are just in the mood to distress. I like their spanish collection of Valformossa Reds, which are quite affordable. Place is packed with local and expat yuppies, and ambiance can be described like a big wine cellar. Cheers!

On night outs, I prefer hanging out with friends in a relatively quiet place than a noise-filled party/bar where you have to shout at yourself just to hear yourself think. 128518

Barcino is one of that 'relatively' quiet places that I have recently found. Their wine selection is vast and you can't go wrong with their wine pairings as well.

On this visit, we got the cheese platter and lambrusco. Great way to end a heavy dinner. Lol.
