Great selection of local craft beers. I even got to try one that's chilli-flavored (seen in pic)! No wifi but that promotes better socialization. 128521 The warm chocolate cake is super good, but slice was small for P195.

If you are looking for a new place to visit or to hangout with, I recommend Barley Gastropub located at Tomas Morato, Quezon City.. They offer sumptuous and distinctive dishes like this Warm Chocolate Cake.. A must-try dessert. :)

Tried this place out of curiosity since the reviews were not too shabby... and also coz there was a group buying offer at 50% off 128513

More of a drinking joint but they do serve lots of food... we tried the ff:

* Baked Oysters -- 128077

* Crispy Calamari -- super tigas and coated with batter 128078128078128078 wasn't even crispy!

* Crispy Pata -- soooo salty !!! Aughh!!! 128078

* Steak -- Not too bad

Note to self : Don't expect too much from pubs that serve food 128527 Go there to drink... not dinner! My bad....Blame it on the group buying sites ... Haha 128514

I've heard that food in places where people drink and get drunk are surprisingly good. You just have to go there before their party hours if eating is more of your thing, just like me. So we checked out Barley and ordered their Isaw Pizza (left), Pork Bagnet (upper right), and Cajun Corn (lower right). Everything tasted good! The isaw pizza was a surprise. The combination of the salted egg, isaw, and tomatoes blended well. We didn't fancy the pork bagnet sauce though. It was too strong because of the bagoong and has a wine-y taste. The service was a bit slow though and they did not serve the food all at once.

Their food and custom brewed beers are excellent! Their 1st year anniversary is this coming June 16. They have a Buy One Take One promo and 2 live bands scheduled.

we went there to try their craft and imported beers, unfortunately the availability of beers versus their menu was disappointing. 90% of the beers wasn't available.

we also ordered isaw manok&baboy. i've tasted better, but the serving amount is good.

i also ordered pink lemonade - this compensated for all the beers that i tried to order but wasn't available. i loved how it tasted - the mix of how sweet and sour is just right. at least i enjoyed something.

our neighboring table got pizza, it looked so good. we weren't able to order for ourselves though because we were about to leave when they got their pizza.

I like that this place serves locally made "underground" beer.

Something not commonplace, something unpopular, something not widely distributed nor overly mass produced. What's a word for all of that??

So my friend and I went on a limb and tried this place even if there was 1 review of it.

The place is ok considering it's summer, the AC was cool enough.

Serving was huge like a whole slab of ribs for 650. Although I like the sides (baked potato and grilled corn) more than the actual ribs 128531

Service is friendly and very attentive so that's a plus.

Got disappointed with the beers though, there were limited stocks of imported (2 brands out of 10?!) and local artisan beers, even though this place is supposed to be a "beer joint" 128553

Oh well over all I'd give it another shot cuz I'm all about 2nd chances haha 128517

Thanks so much to looloo for updating your database with this recently opened gastropub. I live a few minutes' walk from this resto, and since last month I've heard from a friend that the burger here is delish. It was just last night when I decided to finally give this place a try.

I ordered smoked tomato soup since I was dining with my baby, and boy how much she loved it. Loved the bread as well that came with the soup as it was topped with mozzarella cheese. Next we had truffled mushroom fettucine. I thought it was rich and had elegant flair. I can probably finish a plate if not for the burger which I Iikewise ordered. The aussie beef burger, which looked mouth-watering, was truly delightful. The patty was lean, the onions were flavorful, the mozzarella cheese was pretty thick and the kosher pickle was tasteful. Yum!

I thought my dining experience had been really good. The place looked nice. Plus points for the imported beers that they also serve. The service was good and the staff were really friendly. The price was reasonable, except for the foie gras burger which was kinda pricey. The serving size was fairly large and the food had been exquisite.
