Any chicken inasal place is a place of comfort for me. So places like these will seldom be a miss for me. It's a major plus if they have unli-rice (unfortunately their meals are not: it's fine though, i understand, doesn't make sense p&l-wise. Huhu).

Anyway, got myself the paa meal for 155 pesos, and a side order of baticolon for 50 pesos. Yum! :) haha paa meal came with a glass of iced tea.

So their table set up will have vinegar and soy sauce BUT you can always request for chicken oil which they'll provide (only upon request though - another cost saving tactic, noted!). And chicken oil may be unhealthy but it's just too good! :) i actually took a picture of my plate after the meal, was thinking of posting it to show how clean my plate looked (simot!) but i think i should save face from our community.

The reason i gave them a 4 is because service was bad last time we were here. It took them so long to serve our food and even to give us our bill and change. Ohhh inefficiency, i hate you. But they improved, because they were quite swift this time around. So yes to continuous improvement. Good job guys! :)

Anyway, so if you want good inasal for reasonable prices and just chill the night a way, i'd recommend this place. :) that's it, happy weekend everyone. I'm going to sleep with a happy tummy. :) yay!

To fill our empty stomachs, we chose to drop by our family's favorite Barrio Inasal. We ordered Gizzards, Liver, Crispy Shrimp, Sizzling Oysters, Pecho and Boneless Chicken.

The Gizzard according to my mom was a bit tough. Altho it tastes great. The Liver, Crispy Shrimp, Sizzling Oysters as well as the Pecho were fantastic. Although it was really ironic that the Boneless Chicken had a bit of bone to it. I though it was just a way to plate it. Sort of a decoration of some kind, but mu family thought it was really funny 128539

Don't get me wrong, I love this place. It has been my childhood and all. Moreover they've renovated and this place looks so clean and sophisticated already. Kudos Barrio! 128523

This looks like your ordinary Halo Halo but it is NOT! It's a lot better than Razon's. Ice shaved perfectly, milk so creamy. It only has a few "halo" but the combination is perfect.
If you're here order the Crispy Pata which is really a must try, spareribs- sweetened just right, the chicken inasal- grilled to perfection. Also try their Pancit Sotanghon and Molo Soup which are both unforgettably yummy. This resto is even better than their counterpart in Ilo-Ilo!

I have been here enough times to review it fairly.

Great inasal, better than most inasal joints.
Good sisig. They get it nice and crispy.
That is where it ends for me. I've tried some of the seafood and vegetable dishes and none made the grade.

Really cold beers.
If you are a fan of chilies you might want to bring your own hahaha. They never give you enough and actually ran out at one point.

Inasal. Sisig. Beer. Do not stray.

Ate here again today!

It's different on weekdays because all the areas have no A/C turned on. It's a good thing the weather and breeze decided to cooperate. It was lunch time so there were quite a lot of people when we got there. Despite that, the servers remained attentive and polite.128522

Paa Meal for PhP 140: Paa, Plain Rice (Additional PhP 10 for Garlic Rice) and Iced Tea (Additional PhP 25 for soda).

Everything was great, except for the soda. They only carry Pepsi products and their Pepsi had no 'spirit' already. Aside from that though, amazing meal!

I didn't really notice exactly when this opened, but a few of my relatives and friends have been raving about it.

I ate here a few saturdays ago with my clan for a couple of birthday celebrations. We reserved the function room which is just enclosed by glass doors and has its own A/C and flat screen TV with a USB hub and DVD player I think. This is great for birthday parties or gatherings because you can control your own entertainment, you don't have to share the A/C with the rest of the place and you can be a bit louder than when you would just reserve tables in the main dining room.

Food:
Garlic Rice
Not as good as the Bacolod Chicken along President's Ave. but good naren.

Paa and Pecho
They cook their inasal so well. The flavor really reaches the inside and not just the skin. Sarap to the bones!

Crispy Pata
This dish. Oh my, this dish. I appreciated the way they prepared this because the meat was still juicy (other places serve them so dry and hard) and the skin is oh so crunchy BUT STILL JUICY. I love it! It even tasted great without the dipping sauce!

Garlic Kangkong
Super garlicky. And I'm a sucker for anything garlic!

Leche Flan
Good, but not as good as the one on top of the halo-halo of Chowking.

TIP: Ask for CHICKEN OIL. You're welcome. Hahaha seriously though, it's out of this world!
