Never coming back. Went there to get a haircut for my sister and I. We paid 1200 each for the haircut but the service we got was nothing compared to other salons. We were seated inside and waited for 40 min for the stylist to come. There was only one guy who washed and blow-dried our hair. To add to that, the haircut was terrible. I noticed that they prioritized costumers who were wearing nice clothes and luxury bags. I complained about the slow service but they didnt even apologize. I went to the salon thinking that they'd have great stylists and excellent service but i went home hotheaded and bad haircut.

Lousy service! They let us wait for about an hour unattended only to finish not getting a haircut. Such a waste of time! Yes, we didn't have appointment but at least they should have told us it will be a long wait. We waited a little more after being told we will be attended in 5 mins, but still nothing after 5 mins! We left the salon with no sorry at all.

Sorry for the annoying photo I am such an awkward person.

Anyway, went here to see Jen our usual stylist for about five years now I think? I had my hair colored a darker shade of brown and she chopped off some layers of my horse tail hair.

What I like about this place is that they serve you brewed coffee or various flavors of tea. They also serve fresh lemonade and sodas in can. For the price of their services I think it's a great compensation. The place is neat and the bathroom is very nice and well maintained.

Make sure to hoard the Chocnuts at their reception, I know I always do!

Adios! 128111

For someone who refuses to apply conditioner and comb her hair on a regular basis, I am surprisingly snooty when it comes to visits to the salon, may it be for something as "normal" as a haircut, color treatment or as "occasional" as hair and makeup.

I always believe it's better to pay the extra hundred bucks than live the next month or so feeling and looking like the 4th sister of the band Aegis (which, a matter of fact, has happened to me once or twice already).

Thus goes my rationale as to why I've decided to skip lunch today and head down to Basement Salon for a trim. May I just stress on how much I love the fact that almost half the time i've spent sitting on their chair was the stylist painstakingly taking his time in cutting my bangs, the contrary of how almost always, the bangs are just a pahabol to the last few minutes of your visit and you can barely blink an eye before your friendly parlorista has chopped it off a tad bit higher up your forehead than you would have wanted. He would say "dadahan-dahanin lang natin ah" when it came to trimming my bangs, something I found uncharacteristic when it comes to hair appointments that usually take long as they are.

What I loved about my haircut is that my stylist was very patient and informative (explaining to me what exactly is a brazilian blow out, why is a permanent blowdry not really permanent blowdry, and why I should never opt for full bangs cause I don't have the face for it, albeit very kindly).

Anyway, point is. I recommend giving Basement Salon a try. Although, sure, the prices can do make you think twice.

Love Stefan's haircuts. Always grow out very nicely. Went to another salon in greenbelt 5 last time to try a cheaper stylist and regretted it. Had to come back and get Stefan to fix the do. He's great with Asian hair. Nixed one star given the price, which went up since the last I came here.

Had my hair and make up done at Basement for a wedding.

Well I can say it wasn't very friendly to the pocket or should I say my grandmama's credit card but hey, it was worth it!

The makeup artist was half Korean and she was medyo uhhhh masungit? Meh. Oh well, I didn't feel comfortable with her but at least she knew what she was doing.

I like this salon but only for haircuts, I would be crazy to get all my pampering done here considering that it's crazy expensive! A haircut costs like 1k already so go figure.

To tame my mane, I come to the basement. Here it's comfortable and the staff are really friendly and are always making sure you're taken care of. Between you and me, a junior stylist does the same work the older ones do, at a little more than half, so go pick them! They need people to believe in them as they make their way up the hair styling world.
All the construction the mall's doing is blocking the view of their facade, making you think they're closed temporarily (my mistake), but just walk right up and go right in, they're open for business!
