Am reviewing a branch that opened here recently at Lasapin Food Court in Strata, Pasig. My review can be an eye opener for this establishment.

2.0 because preparation and store is unhygienic. First guy gets a frozen chicken by the hand without gloves and places it directly on their griller.

The griller is still burned because when I asked them to heat my bread it turned out black. (I had it changed). They placed it on top of it. Who would eat that? A number of bites of my Spiced Grilled Chicken was also bitter. Instant cancer.

He also cooks my sunny side up floating with oil like its deep fried. He adds up the sauce directly from a big container to my sandwich.

I didn’t know why I ate it! Anyway BBQ Shack hope you get this stored fixed and hoping it’s an isolated case.

Located at the lower ground floor of SM Makati, BBQ Shack offers grilled meats with rice. My Mom ordered a couple of dishes - the pork liempo and Porkchop. It was served on a white flimsy laminated paper plate, so be careful when cutting the meat, you might just cut through the plate. Surprisely, the meat was tender and flavorful. I was not expecting much from this meal but this not in the same grain as other fastfood sizzling joints, so i was pleased with the meal overall. Service was above normal too, since Mom was by herself (i was in the supermarket) the nice staff was kind enough to deliver the meals to her table. Overall, for 120pesos per meal it is sulit. The liempo was more flavorful than the porkchop, i just wish i had the same order. Senior cards honored.

After visiting Ayala Museum, we had a walk and found ourselves inside SM City. It's almost 1 o'clock pm; most of the restaurants were full so we decided to just go down at the Food Court.

It's been a year ago when I last saw this place, before it's unorganized and looks dirty but now it's totally different. It's pleasant to the eye.

My son tried this BBQ Shack, he got pork chop barbecue with java rice and mixed vegetables for P120. It's quiet expensive knowing that were eating at SM Food Court but hey believe me you get what you paid for. The pork is juicy, less fatty part and big while the java rice is so delicious; take note son loves it!
