For 95php only, their Crispy Lumpia Sisig was the bomb! Aaaah! The crispness of the lumpia wrap, paired with the tastyness of the sisig filling, with the sweet and sour sauce on the side made it a good choice for snacks/pulutan or even a dish for lunch or dinner, paired with rice.

This creative item is a must try that's really affordably priced!

We ordered few bottles of Red Horse, sizzling mushroom and sisig. Both were swimming in oil, but in fairness, mushroom as tasty, sisig had too much liver (which Im not fond of), but it was ok for me.

Fries and Shawarma's from Meshwe.

Thanks for the treat, MM! 128516

Sooo happy with my Sizzling Pork Steak and Sizzling Mushrooms!! Simple, yet tasty Pork Steak even without gravy. And the Sizzling Mushrooms will always be a favorite (maybe because I just simply love mushrooms 10084). 128076

I ordered bbq, but what was served was liempo. 128528 Told the waiter, "diba po bbq order ko?" He replied, "ay onga!" and laughed loudly, without even apologizing. 128563 Anyway, I just accepted what was served. Sulit na din naman for P99!

So my workmate talks about this food community along Maginhawa where there are stalls inside and you can sit anywhere and eat everywhere.

It was actually in Malingap street near Maginhawa. It is called The Z Compound. Now, for the record, this ain't mine. Just because it's Z, doesnt mean it's Zia. 128514 Well, it means The Zone pala.

We seated in the BBQ Zone, and ordered liempo and a pitcher pf iced tea. Liempo was okay. Nothing surprising but it was okay for it's price. Their best sellers are Sisig and Inihaw na tilapia. So I might order that one when I go back.

There are other stores which offers ramen, pasta and pizza, burgers, nachos and cupcakes. Hijo de Pita, the one store selling pitas, currently ran out of stock of their best sellers pita. 128517 Fail.

Perfect place to chill, but since this is a bbq place, you'll gonna smell like bbq too. 128529

Tried their sisig, I didn't like it. I am not sure if it's supposed to be sizzling since it was served on a sizzling plate, but the sisig wasn't even hot when they served it. The egg remained uncooked, it was a bit disgusting. Their liempo was good though. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

We ordered the sizzling sisig and tbone. The tbone was big for its price 188. But as soon as I took a bite, something was off. It was more than just the spice/rub. My bf tried it and said that it didn't taste okay. It's like the meat itself is old, he said. So yah, that's what I was thinking. The sisig was okay though. But we won't bother to come back here

I've read on a blogger's review that this is the only place in Z that serves beer. I think Samu Eats also serve beer now.

Its just your ordinary inuman place that serves grilled fare for pulutan. But their Inihaw na Liempo quite stands out to the other liempos I've tasted. Tastes like hickory bbq ribs. 128522

This next paragraph is in no way connected to my review with BBQ Zone. But it was so weird and funny that I have to tell.

When I was downing my 3rd bottle, I poured the beer to my glass and suddenly noticed something shiny swirling. I dunked a fork into my glass to get it. To my surprise (and horror) I found a BRACKET (for braces). I was dumbfounded and thought, "teka, I just had my braces removed" Hahaha. I was laughing at first but then I was grossed out upon realizing that I only have about one fourth left in my bottle. So it was like drinking a beer that was gargled in somebody else's mouth. Eww.

I called the server's attention about it and they immediately changed my bottle with a fresh one. I know, no use. I already drank almost the entire bottle. But I still accepted it. They kept on apologizing but I said, it wasn't their fault but they need to call their suppliers attention about it. Needless to say, after my 4th and the consecutive bottles, I got paranoid and kept on checking my glass everytime I pour my beer. Hahaha. 128514128514128514

Would I go back? Yes. Kus its highly unlikely that I'd experience that again. If I did, ang malas ko naman.
