Hi Be Resorts Mactan! Thank you for the wonderful BE-cation! 128540

It's been my habit to check-out reviews before I go to places and was surprised by some of the reviews I've read about this place. I've read quite a number of negative reviews so I was already feeling scared for myself before I left for Cebu. However, seeing it for myself is still different and I beg to disagree to people who made negative reviews of this place.

BE Resorts has the friendliest staffs I've ever met - well, Cebuanos in general are friendly and very helpful. I love that they give me bright smiles everyday too :-)

We got the Be Chic Room in BE Resorts. It has 2 queen beds, a ref and a BALCONY with a very beautiful view of the beach 10084️ They also have this safety measure for rooms that had balconies. The door to the balcony was locked when we got there so we were not able to open it right away. I was pissed at first but later on realized that it was a smart thing to do. They also asked us to sign a waiver and then removed the lock later on so we were already able to utilize the balcony. The beds were okay, it wasn't as comfy as how I imagined it to be but it was still pretty comfy, I was able to get 7hours of sleep :) I guess the only negative thing about the rooms is that they do not give complimentary coffee/tea unless you are staying at Suite rooms. I mean, really? Not even cheap coffee? Zzz.

But anyway, that's just 1 bad thing compared to all the good things I can say about the resort. I super love the beach front as well!!! The cottages looked extra photogenic with the colorful beanbags. It was really relaxing to stay there. 10084

The buffet breakfast was also something to look forward to!!! I think they have their buffets breakfasts at the al fresco area that's why some say there are a lot of flies but ours was held at one of the function rooms and we had the best time!!! Everything was good and there were a lot of food choices!!!

Just had our company summer outing and I swear their service has improved 100%.

Their food is still good (it is sourced from Abaca) and they have maintained the quirky yet useful furniture.

the housekeeping is slow in service, the food has limited selection, expensive, and not yummy -- no check!

This is one of the best affordable resorts ive stayed in offering 5-star quality service and meals.

Trip was scheduled around November so not really your peak season which is my preferred travel timing so we avoid the rush of other tourists.

We arrived the hotel 10am and though check-in time was still for 2pm, after we had breakfast the very accommodating front desk team allowed us to check on as early as 11:30am which was SUPER AWESOME!

Would definitely go back here because:
- You share the same beach shoreline as Shangrila Mactan and Movenpick without having to pay the same premium room rates per night.
- Outstanding customer service
- Delicious meals and affordable cocktails over luncb

Planned for a long weekend in Cebu and we decided to try be resorts in mactan. It was my third time in Cebu but it was my first time in mactan island. Very convenient ride from the airport, however, try to get the white taxis (40 peso flag down rate) instead of the airport/yellow ones (70 peso flag down rate).
Hotel is located along the main road of engaño. Lobby area was bright with modern, quirky furniture. Check in was quick but weirdly enough, they gave us a PWD/wheelchair accessible room. Very strange but the additional bathroom space is great haha.
Water pressure is excellent, rain shower type shower head with hot and cold water.
Loved the beach area where you can just lounge around the whole day and get a proper tan. Pool area is very nice as well. Great area to hang out at night with a couple of cocktails.
However, there are some downsides:
- one towel, one guest policy. Requested for extra towels but they insisted on this policy. So weird
- there was a dead 'bangaw' on the floor of our room when we arrived. It was still there when we left
- breakfast fare is just so so
- many, many korean guests. I've no actual complaints because they deserve to go on vacation too but could just get rowdy at times. I hope the hotel could control the noise level especially in the pool area

Good experience overall, good value for money. Will definitely come back given the chance 128522

Lodging was very comfortable. Shower was not working properly though but the spaciousness of the rooms (double occupancy queen-sized beds) more than made up for the shower challenge. Hot water was available in the shower so not so bad. The shower head was one of those big round ones that felt like taking a shower under the rain. Not too shabby.

Price was reasonable.

Food, however, needs severe improvement. Save for the spanish sausages, the omelettes (cooked how you like them) and the cereal and fruit section at breakfast, food was not too appetizing. The lunch we had looked appetizing but totally lacked salt (pakbet, sign ang baboy, chicken...even the soup lacked flavor). The merienda we had was tasteless (choco cake in the picture was left as is after the first bite because there was just fluff... No sweetness nor creamy chocolate taste).

The staff were very accommodating and promptly assisted guests. Two thumbs up for them.

Overall, four stars because of the bad food. If they fix that, wonderful experience, I am sure.

The beach front provided enough swimming space but did not get to try any water sports or other beach amenities.

I love the chairs! We call it the UFO chill place. Hahaha! Since we wanted to chill a bit before we party our hearts out during sinulog, we went to mactan and paid for the daytrip in Be resorts. It was a nice place and i love the infinity pool!!! They also have good service although they serve the drinks and food a bit slow plus they didnt even put our on the rocks drinks in a whisky glass. Haha but the whole be resort and UFO experience was amazing and relaxing. :)
