The Beach House is one of the iconic dining landmarks in UP Diliman. Most of my college lunches were taken here because they have fresh off the grill barbecue vs. food that might have been sitting on the counter (Hello Casaa!)

Now in its new location I wonder if it will still be an iconic landmark to the current students. No more al fresco dining under the gigantic tree. It's a bit off the central campus so it's not as accessible than when it was right by the Main Library. I talked to the owner and he said they've significantly lost their volume of customers. I talked to him about signing up for delivery service, but not sure if he took me seriously. It's a bit warm inside and they grill right beside, and even across, the entrance. There's limited street parking.

Still the best barbecue ever for us. Barbecue was 25 a stick, owner said if you order a lot (like a party size) he can give it at 20. Still soft and juicy, not too thick slices (which I prefer), the barbecue is great with rice and a serving of their mongo. Food and drinks are ridiculously cheap here.

I've been missing a lot from the Maginhawa scene because when were in the area we almost always eat here or get some to go. Mostly because we feel we have to support this place. If you're feeling nostalgic please place an order here for your potluck contribution this holiday season127873

My friend Annie and I were not up for some CASAA food so we decided to go to Beach House to grab lunch. Luckily, this was a good decision because in two months, the renowned barbecue place called Beach House will be closed. Court decision and the UP Administration have given the ultimatum. Two months is what is left to the well loved place.

Last I went here was 2 years ago. It is a really airy and nostalgic place to enjoy juicy barbecue. It is actually more of a food place. Most of the UP Diliman community have created awesome and irreplaceable memories here that no food place can recreate.

We ordered the usual 1-pc barbecue with salted eggs as side dish. The flavor was, of course, excellent. The price is reasonable for its size. The service was excellent for a carinderia-barbecue house type of place. The cashier/manager may be a real entertainer because of his witty musings for each customer.

There is no place where you feel like having lunch by the beach right in the middle of a school. All in all, Beach House will surely be missed.

Beach House!!! A tradition for UP Diliman students and great BBQ aficionados alike.

Trina B and I were initially headed to another famous eatery in Ateneo (called Clubhouse by us before but has been known in more recent years as Manang's), but it was closed at 115pm so we moved to Beach House. We were worried when it started to rain na but we caught the last several sticks of barbecue. Now P28@, the quality hasn't deteriorated.

For the uninitiated... It's a simple canteen located beside the UP library and the famed Sunken Garden. Don't expect ambience. Just good food. The BBQ we ate was already on the warm - cold side but whatever, it's still the best. 128526128526128526

Beach like theme in the heart of the University of the Philippines. Scrumptious barbecue for P27/stick, salted eggs, inihaw na bangus. A must try if you're in the UP Diliman area

Affordable yet good tasting pork bbq. Samahan mo pa ng itlig na maalat at kamatis, perfect lunch place in the University. Plus yung lumpianari sa Narry's store nearby (di lang makita sa map) is a must try.

Dear UP Diliman freshies, you should eat here. Dear UP alumni, you should visit & eat here. Everyone should eat at Beach House.

Best barbecue in the metro! Perfect blend of marinade, expertly grilled. Partner it w/ red egg, eggplant & bagoong - perfect. Finish it with sweetened saging na saba.

Place has a beach atmosphere sans the sea & sand. But great view of Sunken Garden.

Expect to a long line during lunch time.

Beach House has UP character written all-over - no frills, just all great stuff.
