It was during my birthday week when I got surprised to discover that the famous Bellini's Italian Restaurant has a branch near my home in Marikina.

It was my best friend Marqui S who brought me to the restaurant. It was a Monday, at around 5PM, when we got there and we were happy to have it for ourselves for our almost 4 hour stay there.

Upon seeing the exteriors of the restaurant, you'll feel as if you were instantly transported to Italy. With its well-known, life-sized Leaning Tower of Pisa that shall welcome you upon entering, to the red and white interior colors to the 3D wall artworks of famous spots in Italy, you'll get to appreciate how detailed the resto's representation of Italy is.

The space inside was huge and can accommodate large groups but we arrived and enjoyed its prettiness for ourselves as it seemed like we were the first customers for the day. The waiters were dressed in an all white chef's outfits with black aprons that matched the red chairs and the red and white checkered table linens. The ambient music was soft yet appealing to the ears so it added to the very relaxing yet classy feels of the restaurant.

We were given the menu and we found it hard to decide what to eat as we were a bit full but we can't let the experience just pass so we ordered the Carbonara Italiana, Margherita Pizza and their Obama Cake.

While waiting for our orders, we were served with breadsticks paired with their signature grilled eggplant drizzled with what tasted like vinaigrette and the cheesy spread that tasted like it has some tomatoes in it. Too bad, I forgot to ask the name of this complimentary appetizer. I liked it! I loved it, let me correct that. The eggplant tasted really delicious and it was made even better by the cheesy spread that gave that kick.

The Carbonara Italian was just OK for me. The taste of the milk and egg combined altogether gave it that texture that will make you want to eat it, again and again.

The pizza had thin crust and I wished it was thick. Haha! The slices were OK but I guess it lacked some more taste that will give it that remarkable flavor. I hope they'll enhance the presentation of this too.

The best item during our visit was the Obama Cake! It was the bomb! It was dark chocolate and caramel altogether so can you imagine the greatness of that? I liked how moist and soft the cake was, made even yummier by the soft caramel and dark chocolate meringue on its top. The nicest waiters gave us complimentary wine too that matched the cake so well.

To our luck, despite not having a full house, their pianist performed for us and yes, we did enjoy his set as he played romantic songs, making the place even lovelier and classier.

This restaurant is really a nice one to visit especially for couples given its classyness and private vibes. Visiting on a weekday might be good too for you to be able to savor its beauty.

Popoy and Basha date last May 27 evening. Back again at one of our favorite authentic Italian resto in Marikina, Bellinis Italian resto located at Shoe Ave. in Marikina. Their first branch is at Cubao. This is our A Second Chance visit128145

Before you enter the door, the leaning tower of Pisa will welcomed you. Glad that we were accepted even if they were about to closed. They were so accommodating. Were the last customer that night. Lucky that night because someone was playing the piano , what a Romantic evening 128145

This is hubby's favorite pasta place. He loves the Aglio Olio he ordered last time and he ordered it again. His a fan of Aglio Olio, it's an oil based pasta and it's healthy that's why he loves it. I had pizza, tried this Bellinis special pizza! Perfect for vegetarian! Thin crust with all my favorite toppings, plus rather a Filipino twist , eggplant! Quite exquisite and worth every bite! It's so crunchy and I liked it! I'm not a vegetarian but loved this one! We had a complimentary wine dessert too!

Service was excellent and what I love about this is the Second Chance cast has named on its chairs and other celebrities also, we sitted again at John Lloyd and Bea's seat 9786

Celebrated my birthday here just this afternoon <3 The ambiance was great. It had this cozy, feeling Italy vibes :) The bg music matches the whole place (unlike other restos na panira yung music) Staff was accommodating and attentive. Di na kailangan tawagin for water, utensils etc. Food was superb, too! Had the Napoli (anchovies, capers and oregano), Ravioli Al Trufo and Eggplant with milky sauce (forgot the name!) and everything were delicious. The serving of the appetizer tho was quite "bitin" We also had tiramisu which was fine. By fine I mean "pwede na" :)) Overall, we enjoyed my stay here! Surely a 'babalikan' place :)

PS. Sarap ng free wine! :)

Went on a weeknight so we had the place almost to ourselves :) service was good. And food quality was great still, contrary to what I've been hearing --that their main branch still serves better tasting food.

I remember Bellini's as a really good Italian place - although this was yearsss ago. Maybe with the influx of the other itslian restos, they fell behind already. The pasta were not as al dente as I wanted. The flavors of the sauces were a bit subdued. Given its locations (far away from me), it's not a place I would drive out to.

Had our yearly dice game here at Bellini's Cafe last night. It was my first time here. The place was quite easy to find just by following waze. It's beside savemore. When i first entered i can already feel the vibe of italian ambiance. The place seems like a good place to celebrate special occasions, have a date, celebrate family reunions or gatherings. Our group's organizer reserved the 2nd floor of the restos. 2 tables with 10 seats were setup and on thw table were table mats, napkins, spoons, forks, knives and table napkins. In front was a buffet table and an audio system playing christmas songs.

While waiting for us to be complete they served us breadsticks which was very delicious. The breadsticks are personally made by the resto and is refillable. When it was served it was still warm.

Out of the dishes served I enjoyed the following:
-Salami appetizer
-Truffle mushroom pasta
-Smoked ham w/ aragula pizza
-Bellini's special pizza (delicious while still hot and generous serving of the toppings)

Other dishes served:
-Roast chicken (I didnt like this, the chicken was not tender and hard to cut into slices, while i was cutting it it was shredding into very small bits and it was dry)
-roast pork
-Seafood pasta
-vegetable and potatoes

For the drinks they served iced tea.

The staffs assigned to assist us was very alert and responsive.

She loved me at my worst , you had me at my best at binalewala mo lng ang lahat ng yun - Popoy

Popoy yun ba talaga ang tingin mo? I just made a choice - Basha

And you choose to break my heart-Popoy

Familiar ka ba sa mga lines nyan? Yes ang famous lines ni Popoy at Basha. One More Chance ang Peg,

Had dinner with hubby one Tuesday evening. Sarado ang japanese restaurant na gusto namin itry. Its my second time here. Nung una he doesnt want to try parang di daw maganda from labas i said maganda sa luob and nagbago impression nya and now this is his fave resto.

Before you enter the resto you can see the leaning tower of pisa. Italy ambiance talaga. Wala masyafo tao so we like it di crowded. The place was elegant inside. Then i was crazy dahil before going here nanuod ako One More Chance and coincidence may upuan ni bea at John Lloyd at dun kami naupo. Feel na Feel namin talaga ang Popoy and Basha moment.

The waiters are so accomodating and help us with our orders. Hubby likes pasta so much and he had hard time choosing his pasta.I had carbonara, the noodles that they used was all hand made kaya special ang lasa, hubby ordered pasta too but cant remember the name. Parang potato pasta sya. Then Bellinis special pizza and Obama cake cost around 200,

A bit pricey but it justifies because the food was really good. They have wifi also here. They have branch also in Cubao. Include this on your Marikina Foodtrip. Adios!

Tried this place out of good reviews. Kinda failed to meet my expectations, though, probably because I couldnt help but compare it to Trattoria Gourmet in Shang since for me the latter is one of the best Italian restaurants in the Metro.

Ambiance was great and our server was attentive but the food kinda missed some marks.

Ordered the following: (accdg to our server, these are also their best sellers...)

Bruschetta al Pomodoro - quite a small serving though taste-wise it was okay.

Tartufo Funghi con Prosciutto - an additional drizzle of truffle oil couldve made this pasta dish better. Try Balducci for a (way better) version of this dish.

Parma Ham Arugula (in the photo) - the best part of our meal. Probably the only dish that I would recommend.

Overall, I guess if I'm craving for Italian food again, I'd still stick to Trattotia Gourmet (Shang) or Balducci (Serendra). Not coming back.

I remember it's been 8 years since I last visited Bellini's and still they kept their legacy, the food and the ambience.

Went to Cubao X for some foodtrip but ended up having dessert at Bellini's. Tried the chocolate cake. It's heaven for me. It's somewhat weird though because they served it warm.

One happy tummy.

Just across Luyong in Shoe Ave. Marikina, is an Italian restaurant, Bellinis. This is a branch of the resto in Cubao Expo.

Interiors and ambience inside the Resto are ok. Wish they would add tables outside for those who wish to dine Al Fresco style. Would be nice to drink coffee while looking at pedestrians and motorists passing by... with occasional "patok" jeeps blaring their horns and blasting heart-pounding rock and roll music. Okay, bad idea. Haha

Anyway, went here for coffee but ended up ordering Tiramisu as well.....and there went the diet! Probably left it at Luyongs. Hehe But no regrets here. Their Tiramisu is creamy and not too sweet; the cake is moist but not soggy at all - Just perfect with my latte.

'Dissected the Tiramisu and interviewed our very accommodating waitress, Menbie. And just as I suspected, the Tiramisu was made and assembled as ordered. Nice! A friend said I should try the Panna Cotta also. And I will, next time! ;)

Got spinach ravioli and I loved it10084️ My boyfriend got their Marsala pasta. He said it's better than my ravioli but I disagree...haha! But both are delicious!

I ordered their Obama cake (they're famous for it too!) and oh Lord...it was divine. One of my favourite cakes now!

You get a shot of wine after eating your meal too! My babe and I loved it. It seemed like it was his fave part of our meal haha!

I've been seeing Bellinis Italian resto for a long time coz it's near our place in Marikina. It was a bar before it became an Italian resto . I've been to so many places in Marikina for a food trip but my husband doesn't want to give it a try .

So last night I really had a bad evening . Can't decide where to go and my feet went to Bellinis. It's time to give it a try because it was featured recently at Kris TV. The ambiance inside was very nice . You can see the leaning tower of Pisa. The walls are nice and the ambiance was really romantic, it really looks like an Italian resto. Seats were classy.

I had dinner at home and was full so decided to order a cake for dessert to forgot what's bothering me. They have 3 flavors there, fruit salad cake, orange cake and Choco caramel and I'm a chocolate lover so I got it127856127851

I was amazed because the slice of cake was big for 109 pesos but when I got my bill it's 209 pesos pala. Nadagdagan ang bad trip ko. The cake was too sweet and was not able to finish it. A family seating beside me was having pizza and pasta which is obviously there specialty . Moral lesson , if ever I'll be back I would love to try the pasta and pizza coz it looks good. Just so happen I had my dinner na kasi that's why end up with cake. Sana I just go to Starbucks nlng Kung cake lang kakainin ko128553

Desserts were excellent! The best was the tiramisu. Prepared the traditional way and was fresh. Ordered as well the orange cake and the chocolate cake.

Pasta- ordered the seafood fresh pasta. Sauce was not nice but fresh pasta was good.

Carbonara for the kids- was good.

Arrabiata- hubby said was ok

Pizza with Parma ham - I liked it.

Verdict:

The best place for desserts! Service is good and could speak Italian fluently! Impressive!

Ciao,
