Bellychon.. As the restaurant's name connotes it is the lechon baboy (roast pig's) belly. If you've been to Cebu and had tasted the top 3 Best Lechon restaurants there, which i am preparing to blog about soon on eatinbaguio.blogspot.com, you will know that the best lechon is definitely from Cebu!

I found this place when we arrived in Manila yesterday, famished and tired from the 6hours bus trip from Baguio. We were staying at a hotel nearby greenbelt 5 and I hopped online looking for a Pinoy food resto in greenbelt.

I just googled searched it and another website like looloo gave me the menu and address. I applauded at the close vicinity of Bellychon. I can't believe I've never discovered this place sooner, especially sonce were staying in the same hotel all the time! It's just besides Binalot, on the roadside. Walk past the foodcourt area of GB1 and exit, turn right.

Let's get to the food's taste! For 140.00 pesos, you get a luxurious serving of lechon (spicy or original) with unlimited rice! Hell yeah! And the tatse? Zubochon!! One of the famous lechon joints in Cebu and Anthony Bourdain's "Best Pig Ever!" combined with Tatang's Lechon Belly, another famous food cart in Cebu known for having the best lechon belly that you can even have it shipped/flown to Manila!
And what do you get?!

OWNING!

Definitely a mouthwatering treat! Will post pics on my blog and FB page soon.. Bare with me as i don't have a laptop..

Lechon meal priced at 120php comes with soup and garlic rice is back!yey! But their lechon was too dry and spring onions were not available.boo!! Our default dinner everytime we come to Greenbelt to attend a mass since my husband is too much of a lechon lover. 128078128513

Feels like home. By far the closest to cebu's lechon belly ang ngohiong. Sadly, theyve increased their prices just recently and they dont have the set meal at 120php (lechon belly + rice) which i order most of the time. But still, i got out of this resto with a happy tummy.

No photo. I didn't like the food here! And it doesn't take me a lot to like food. The only reason i'm here is because my co worker is hell bent on eating here. :/ such a poor choice for Friday.

It didn't taste like cebu lechon, out of all the pieces of lechon skin, only one was crunchy. The spicy lechon was not available so i ended up trying the spicy suka and toyo - it tasted like turpentine. The rice was nice though.

My co-worker ordered Bicol express - that was good but not enough to redeem my mood.

Not coming back here eveeer!

It was good but not "OMG I wanna go back again" good. I find it a bit salty. I imagined it to be like Zubuchon's extra crispy, mouthwatering, not too salty but very flavorful lechon, but nope.. It wasn't bad but not so good as well. It was cheap though so i'll give them another star.

I cant help but wonder, why would they need two split-type acs for a place that small?

It was nothing special. Meat was a bit salty and skin wasn't as crispy. Zubochon and CNT are way better.

I love lechon, but this one is differ from the other types of lechon, the crispiness of the skin is consistent and the meat inside is delicious, but my only comment is the saltiness is too much...I don't know why? I guess for some foodie expert will liked this but for me "was okay" only and not into so much salty food.

Perfect way to end the day!! Perfect definition of pig out. 128061128061128061 Crunchy skin, the vinegar is insanely good and of course very tender, tasty meat. Better try it.

Thanks for treat goddessified U 128525

I DIED AND WENT TO PIG HEAVEN!!!!!

I don't need to travel to Cebu to get a taste of Cebu Lechon! And the best part is, this place serves the BELLY part (the best, the tastiest part of the pig!). It comes in original and spicy version.

DISCLAIMER: One cup of rice is not enough for their 1/4 K belly!

The place is small kaya expect to wait din.. Pero it's so worth it!!

I tried their Spicy bellychon meal which came with sinigang soup. Serving was pretty decent for 120 pesos. Really sulit!

It tasted good but was a bit on the salty side or I think the belly wasn't evenly seasoned. There were bland parts and salty parts. Nevertheless, I liked it!

They also serve sisig and bangus but I hope they add some veggies to their menu. 128522

Actually we didn't eat at this place. But we ordered a 3 kilos cebu style bellychon for our Media noche. We picked it up from their house. We received it hot, crispy, tasty and flavorful. The 3 kilos was good for 12-15 pax. What i don't like was the sauce because I don't like the taste of liver. Per kilo only cost P535.00.

Inexpensive, gut filling, familiar comfort — just add extra rice, tunay na lalake ka na! Place is small but being a Sunday (and early), there is enough space.

Masarap!

Lechon was salty. Makes me think they don't taste their food before serving. Place is small too. Bellychon meal is overpriced. Won't be coming back.
