A Buffet lunch for almost 700!
French and Med dishes in one unlimited fight + the fact of it's price, place, vibe and service is such a good deal.
Food selection was okay but with the comparison with other restos offering buffet meals, this is certainly up againts them.
Their service was really good, they were very polite and attentive. I love them all, -service charge is worth it.
The place was so good. I can feel the vibe of a french city. With the distillery, elegant victorian fountain and their warm light. Makes me eat a lot more than expected.
Overall, a budget wise to spend to dine in a buffet and french set up! Kudos! Surely will go back 128522

Have eaten in the restaurant years ago. Once, during our wedding anniversary and the next one, during my hubby's birthday. Based on these experiences, service was ok, but the staff gets rattled with large groups. Food was ok too. Last night, my sis-in-law & I decided to have some wine in the adjacent "Wine Bar" and it wasn't bad. Although the sauvignon blanc I wanted wasn't available. K lang. Had a decent Spanish red paired with a cheese platter. Indulgent? Yes! But this Donya Buding wants to enjoy once in a while. 128055

tried the gelato trio and learned some important lessons:

pumpkin + olive oil = durian
caramel + too hot a stove = burnt sugar
strawberry + pistachios = uninspired safest bet

i should have gone to golden spoon. tsk.

hello again looloo. just got back to ph so am back in circulation.

bb's chef cheese bombed everything. 70% of the onion soup was mozzarella and the puff pizza was absolutely covered! good thing i like cheese. i enjoyed chewing the soup out of milky balls and the salt in the parma ham and pepperoni still managed to fight its way to the surface.

the place was empty. at the far end of the resto strip, i am glad to find this respite from the crowd.

The grilling section, Caesar salad and banoffe of the lunch buffet are worth the 595+ price tag. It also comes with unlimited iced tea.

Ok, so then I was writing a review for this place and I was close to creating a novel and then *poof!* It became Coco Crunch! 128545

Everything I wrote got erased because I made a wee bit mistake of not checking my battery that was close to dying before I opened Looloo. 128532

So since my heart's aching because of the error, I'll just make a sorta gist of the review. G-RRRRR.

I asked my girl out on a date since she was looking Haggardo Versoza and we haven't really gone out for sometime already. I had a plan, i swear. But I made a mistake of doubting that plan. We ended up going to this inconspicuous (from my point of view) french-meditteranean place which was offering a buffet dinner. The php595 tag was an attention-grabber. 128540

Lesson: if you ask someone on a date and you wanna be romantic, don't be a cheapskate and stick with your plan. 128540

I made myself a salmon carpaccio salad with sesame vinaigrette. I liked it, especially the carpaccio. Then I took a couple of baked oysters which was as dry as el niño, then slices of clod tenderloin which was confusing because clod is taken from one of the toughest parts of a cow and true enough it was a bit tough... And cold. I wonder why they named it Clod TENDERLOIN. 128523

I also had some slices of tuna grilled and after I took one bite, had it taken off of my table because it tasted like tuna... Drowning in the sea---bed of salt. 128518

Then I also took some short beef ribs which became short beef lard ribs a few seconds after I got it from the pan. Taste couldve been better if it wasn't cold and lard-y.

I liked the zucchini medallions because I basically like veggies. My favorite among the not-so excellent dishes was the crisp-roasted pork that tasted like lechon and lechon kawali. It was the only thing I finished 128534

Normally, I'd go for the fruits for dessert but since it was supposed to be french-meditteranean, I made the mistake of eating something I'm totally not used to eating --- sweet desserts. I took 1 jigger of somekinda mousse and 1 eclair. Both tasted like I downed a whole bunch of sugar. Man, they took the word "sweets" literally!

We left the place with me wondering (except for the carpaccio and the zucchini) where in the world was the french and the meditteranean in the buffet they laid out. I couldn't taste anything properly because everything was cold. And the only reason why I enjoyed my salad (a bit) was because salads are supposed to be cold 128523

Good thing the waiters were slightly attentive and the interior made me feel (a bit) like I was in a french restau with the bricked walls and the fountain and goddess statue in the middle with bottles of wine all lined up nicely in their makeshift cellar. Maybe it's one of the reasons why their place is so cold, to balance the wine's temperature. It's also a plus that they had complimentary iced tea and almond soup which was also too salty. What's with the salt people??

I was silently cursing myself for not following what I had planned. My date said she had a good dinner. It's great if she really did, or maybe she's just too nice to tell me that I failed. 128553

I'll make up for this. Hmp.

I'd probably give this another shot but I won't do buffet anymore, maybe their ala carte's better. 128533

P.S.

This is a gist. 128514

Nothing special. Only noteworthy dish: Foie Gras pasta (pictured). Not your typical foie gras pasta. This one is exceptional! The staff are not friendly and attentive. Hope there's an improvement when I come back soon.

My sister invited us to eat at beurre blanc last night. It's actually just my first time here but i know that it is owned by kusé and old vine.

As for the food, they offer ala carte and buffet but I went for the buffet cause i felt that it's more reasonable. True enough, it was really worth it! The dishes in the buffet were very good especially if you're bbq lover. The best part for me was the creme brulee, i think that alone deserves a 5!

If you are an eat-all-you-can-and-then-run food junkie, I recommend this French-Mediterranean resto.

Price - P650 inclusive of a glass of iced tea.
Serving - buffet, no left overs please.
Taste - overall, good!
Gastronomic adventure - "solb!!!"
Highlight - the sweeeeets! Yum!

I had the steak and mushrooms. Price was 495 and the portion was decent.
Steak was semi-tender because the cut had tendon bits that made it chewy. Still, I've got a jaw and bite for these things and got to enjoy the steak.
The mushrooms were very fresh and very nice. It had the nice buttery feel that good, fresh button mushrooms come with.
It came with decent fries which I enjoyed, too. Nice meal before a flight.
