This is one after work stay place along burgos circle and it was decided by the group to stay here to have a little booze. I did not choose to buy a beer since i knew i would be long distance driving that night. So i only got to share some food.

128204 pesto pasta
The pasta that was served was extra aldente--it's a little uncooked? Bit nonetheless it was edible. Lol. It was tasting good anyway, i was not able to see clearly what i was eating because it was a little dark (lol dine in the dark?!) maybe Russel F could explain on this clearly

128204128525 chorizo pizza @410php
I love this one! The smokiness of the chorizo was strong! They also serve a super chili hot sauce but for bicolana Elaine O a eh bali wala lang.

The place as i have said is dark inside-- they were playing cross over songs that time and if. The company is right (which really was), it could be an option of instant karaoke. Lol. There's a second floor where the lady's CR is located. Men's CR is at the first floor. I was not able to check if there's an internet connection though. 128516

Date place? Nope.

Next stop to commemorate the Oktoberfest we need to grab some beer hahaha.. Initial plan was Flying Pig este Tipsy Pig but the place was jampacked. Finally we decided to settle with Big Bad Wolf. The place was dark dim light highlighted by the cool wall art of a wolf. It was more of an american hippy kind of bar.

The waiter gave us the menu and we were like Magnifying Glass please!!! The writing on the menu was like Typewriter written with light ink. It was already hard for us to read the menu because the place was already dark and making it harder was the font size was like 8 or 10. huhuhu... Anyway we still managed to order with some help from the candle.

Browsing their beer selection I was excited to saw some unfamiliar local craft beer on their list. So I went for a glass of Crazy Carabao Exit Wound Indian Pale Ale. It was perfect for my taste. The sweet bitterness was prominent with hint of fruity flavor. Another great new alcoholic find! Loving that local craft beer scene is really flourishing.

For the food we got to try Chorizo Pizza. Not that bad but not that amazing as well maybe I was just full from our 1st stop.

Overall the place is nice but please change the menu. Hoping to try more of the other local craft beer. :)

I was really full from having dinner at Kartilya so I just ordered beer at BBW. I ordered the Katipunan Craft Indio Pale Ale. The place is a little dark but I like it. Pang after-dinner chill time with your labs.

Russel F ordered pasta (I forgot the name). I didn't like the texture of the pasta. But I guess nagustuhan nila ni Jayson J since naubos nila. We also ordered the chorizo pizza which was OK as well. 🙂

The beer was good. I liked that they didn't put ice and it wasn't served super cold because I could really taste the beer that way. It had a mild fruity, sweet taste but it still had a bitter aftertaste.

Overall, OK na inuman place. Though I read the other reviews that they have good food too. Maybe next time?

Lighting was too dim!

But the bacon cheeseburger was quite good. Sablay lang sa sides, potatoes were undercooked.

Choriza pizza, so-so. Chili sauce was awesome though!

My friends wanted to have a drink here, so i finally got the chance to try this place out.

For appetizers, We ordered:

Tilapia Chicharon (Php 120 for half order and Php 210 for whole order), It’s basically Tilapia fish that was skinned. The skin was deep fried and thus we have what they call tilapia chicharon A.K.A fish skin. The skin was cooked perfectly that’s why it was really crunchy, i just didn’t like the fact that it was too oily. I had a few bites that had oil gushing out of it. It wasn’t a good feeling at all. It had a vinegar dip beside it by the way, so i suggest you dip it in real good and hope some of the oil will come out of it before you take that bite. Overall, it was just a so so dish for me.

Potato Skins (Php 160 for half order and Php 290 for whole order), so this is as read deep fried potato skins. I liked that they used the skin here because that means the skin didn’t go to waste. It was cut into thin slices and was cooked in between crunchy and chewy. It had spices mixed to it too. As for the dip, they used house boursin dip, which was a creamy blend of cheese dip with garlicy and herby flavours to it. This was actually one of my fave dish.

As for the 1st entree, I wanted soup. So i ordered:

Roasted Tomato Soup (Php 140), which had orange infused olive oil, shaved parmesan cheese and basil. The tomato soup was good, the usual ones we get to order in most restaurants. So, it was nothing out of the ordinary, but still good to eat.

As for my main course, I ordered:

Herb Brined Pork Chop (Php 340), It’s a 250g of pork chop, with supposedly should have sautéed potatoes on the side, but i was served with a salad instead. It was still good though. Anyway, the pork chop I had tasted good, my only complain was that it was tough to eat. I liked the garlic milk sauce by the way, tasted really good. This dish is best paired with garlic rice. Overall, i find this dish just okay.

If you want a non-smoking drinking place though, i suggest you try this place out. I enjoyed having a drink on the 2nd floor as I find the 1st floor too hot. It wasn't well ventilated. This place wasn’t too loud though, plus i loved the fact that they played some 90’s songs too, songs that you could sing to. Technically, a chill drinking place in which you can still hear the people beside you speak and can still have a good conversation with them all throughout the night.

When I think of puttanesca, I think of a red, tomato sauce based pasta dish with olives and capers and not that revolting picture I've attached to this review.

Have you ever seen a white puttanesca before? I haven't. Does it taste as good as the red one? No, it doesn't.
Does it have any redeeming qualities at all. Maybe the cherry tomatoes but there weren't that many to redeem itself.

The most disappointing dish I've had in a long time! It tasted like it was sautéed in burnt olive oil with a dash of white wine. And not the good kind of olive oil. Where's the tang and saltiness? The burst of flavor from the combination of the tomatoes, capers and olives? Ugh, I hate this dish.

On the upside, the servers are really nice and attentive and the place works well for catching up with friends. It has that sort of vintage vibe and good music. If it wasn't for the company, I would've probably walked out after the first bite! Never coming back.

This Blue Marlin Salpicao was the bomb! Fresh, Juicy and mouthwatering! Though I honestly wouldn't have this on an empty stomach, it's more of an after a heavy brunch - light dinner thing! Tastes good but bitin on the serving size. Though overall good padin. 128077🏼

Went here for a girls night out. Surprisingly, the place didn't have much customers compared to the other establishments in the area that night. That was a plus for us since we were looking for some place quiet. The ambiance was really great. Dim lighting, artsy decor and good selection of wines. The Tilapia Chicharon, although a bit oily was a pleasant surprise. Good paired with the Sauvignon blanc.

Was only able to try a drink, but I loved the ambiance. It was so rustic, and I especially liked all their key pieces. The interiors made the place's character more appealing.

Tried their Amaretto Sour, which was really refreshing and my other friends ordered wine. We all seemed pretty happy about our drinks, which is always a good thing!

The place just gets filled up easily during peak hours, but I'm not surprised why it does.

Will be back for more drinks and to finally try their food as soon as I can.

Time to catch up on reviews. It has been a while. 128546

Ambience is really great here. I love the design and look of the place. Just didn't like that the 1st level was a bit cramped and it was too noisy when it's full.

I would recommend the Milk Marinated Pork Chop! It has the creamiest and best tasting sauce I'veever tried for a pork chop.

I would probably try their steak the next time I drop by. 128556

Had a late lunch with sib. We tried big bad wolf. 128058

Please bear with me as I couldn't recall much of the food names. 128514128542

I had the chicken which was very hefty with rice. I can still imagine its juiciness. My brother on the other hand had the curry shrimp. We both are not fond of curry but he settled with it anyway because it sounds delish. And it was! Considering that we don't like curry that much. 9786️ Place was great. Very attractive and they have pica pica also.

Don't you just love randomly picking a restaurant (without even expecting!) and ending up loving your dining experience there?!9786128522 Exactly what happened to us in BBW! Everything we had from the Fish and chips to the Santol-smoked pork belly were mind-blowing!! Actually had to compare the pork belly from Poco Deli's version because they were quite similar but this by far wins it for me in terms of the juiciness and smokiness of the meat. The dirty rice that came with it was also an instant win!

But the best part of the experience here? Quality service. The servers were kind enough to make my boyfriend taste different variants from their huge beer selections and they weren't the snobbish kinds I usually encounter around Fort area.

Love the ambiance! Friendly servers too. Margarona was good at first but I think Corona's taste is overpowering Margarita.
