Ordered bulalo and they served me one without bone marrow. Unacceptable. Soup tasted like knorr beef cubes, but was okay. Should've gone to sinugba sa balay as previously recommended, sadly I was enticed by Bulalo being their specialty.

Last meal in Coron before heading back to Manila! We really wanted to make the most of our stay in Coron by trying out other restaurants. We’re supposed to eat lunch at Sinugba sa Balay but it was closed. So we just settled for Big Mama’s since it was located just few steps away from our first option.

Big Mama’s was famous for their hotpot dishes such as the Sizzling Bulalo and the sisig. So we didn’t miss the chance and tried it out. We got Sinigang, Binagoongan, Sizzling Sisig, Bulalo and the Sizzling Bulalo for me. The servings were actually good just for one person, but if you’re not a heavy eater, then you can share the dish with your friends.

My friends seemed to like what they had especially the Bulalo and Sisig. Like seriously, the sisig is reaaally good! We’ve tried sisig from 3 different restaurants but this one hits the spot on the first taste! It’s not just about the meat but also the flavor and right amount of spices. “Swak na swak yung luto!!!” – my friend told me. We all agreed that this is probably the best sisig we had in town!

The Sizzling Bulalo is also a winner! The meat was so tender and surely a fall-off-the-bone goodness! It was irresistibly good and I almost lost myself having it! #OA.

One of my friends tried their buko shake and loved it! I think that costs just around a hundred bucks or lower.

The place wasn’t that crowded when we went there for lunch. The service had been really good and their place was fine.

Ain't nobody like Big Mama, yo! 128526

Food was ok. I particularly loved the Bulalo, specially the huge marrow I was able to pick out of the bone.

First meal in Coron near our lodging at Daven's Palace. 127860

We had Sinigang na Maya, Liempo, Sisig and a couple more dishes (my bad, I can't remember).

Too bad their Buko Juice was a bit pricey and their fruit shakes too. Not worth it unlike Jonah's in Boracay. 128517

With all 6 of us, bill was just P700+ so just okay in my opinion. The food was so-so and nothing special. But I guess being in a new place with good company is all that matters. 128522
