Aside from those in photos, we ordered bulanglang pork, suman and tibuk tibuk. WALANG LASA. Staff are unaccommodating. Dont be deceived by the appearance of the food and the fact that the resto is packed. Bagoong lang masarap 🙁

We went on a roadtrip to Pampanga last Sunday with my mom's friend and some of her relatives who were balikbayans. My aunt frequents Pampanga and she wanted to try Binulo Restaurant. Upon researching on restaurants in Pampanga, I found out that it was also one of the best restaurants in the area.

We ordered shrimp okoy, chicharon bulaklak, sisig, kare-kareng baka, binulong nasi, binukadkad na hito, binulanglang na sugpo.

Shrimp okoy- not crispy enough. Although I appreciate the creativity in its presentation, I really had a hard time chewing it. My sisters who wore braces had to give up chewing the okoy in fear that they might destroy their brackets.

Chicharon bulaklak- just the right crunchiness and taste. It also wasn't smelly like the other chicharon bulaklak I've tried.

Sisig- this dish was tasty and flavorful. There were some chewy parts but I enjoyed pairing this dish witn rice and sili.

Kare-kareng baka - I don't really know the difference between using peanut butter or peanuts but I think they used both in this dish. It was quite oily but the meat had the right texture, not too tough or chewy. Some vegetables were kind of hard and could have been chopped to smaller pieces to be edible.

Binukadkad na hito- it was my first time to eat catfish and it wasn't that bad. There was no fishy taste but they could have marinated the fish longer for better flavor before frying. I'm also not a fan of buro(fermented rice), which was served together with the fish. I find the smell of buro weird but other people liked the buro.

Binulanglang na sugpo- this is their version of sinigang na sugpo which was cooked in guava. The soup was okay, just like the typical sinigang na sugpo. They might have overcooked the shrimp 'cause the skin was hard to remove but flavorwise the soup was good.

Price: 2/5 I found the prices to be quite expensive considering that the taste is just at par with other Filipino restaurants. The serving size was also a bit small, some good for 2-3 pax or 3-4 pax.

No ambience. Overpriced. Sinigang and catfish were good. Worth trying but no a place I would consider a must-visit.

A lot of people come to Binulo to try their Pangat na Ulang. It tastes like Sinigang na Hipon with a bit more tomato flavor. This dish comes with 3 large prawns, old reviews say it use to have 5 to 6.

My personal favorite though was their pork sisig. It's very flavorful, more like pork adobo on a sizzling plate.

Was a bit disappointed with the Binulong Nasi, serving was small.

Make sure to order their avocado shake.

I hardly join our sales team to attend meetings with design firms unless it's an initial company presentation where we have to give an overview of our brands. We usually try to avoid it and simply groom our designers to present the brands themselves. However, when we feel that they are not yet ready to do so, we step in and do the selling ourselves. #brandlove

Most firms' offices are located in Makati, Ortigas or Fort Bonifacio so when one of our designers asked me to join one of the scheduled presentations, I said yes... only to find out that the firm's headquarters is in... Pampanga! 128547

We left the office at 8 a.m. and reached Pampanga at almost 12 noon. We quickly stopped by SM to buy some food for the ones attending the presentation and rushed to their office.

The presentation ended at around 1:30 p.m. and we were about to faint from hunger as most of us skipped breakfast. Good thing we saw Binulo on our way back.

One of the designers told me that this is a good restaurant known for its sisig. I would have not really cared though as long as they serve edible food. I was that hungry.

We ordered Paco Salad (PHP160), Sisig (PHP260), Pork Bulanglang (PHP268) and Binulong Nasi (PHP145).

The Paco Salad was refreshing and a great way to start the meal. It was slightly salty but was balanced by tomatoes.

My officemate was right about the sisig. It was great. It had the lovely crunch I love yet the pork bits were tender. It was so good I ended up eating more rice (Binulong Nasi) that planned.

I also enjoyed the Pork Bulanglang. It sure is similar with sinigang as it was a sour pork stew. The meat was tender and the broth had a nice tangy taste. 128523

We would have ordered dessert but we were running out of time as we had to head back to the office before 6 p.m.

I'll definitely visit again to try other dishes and desserts!

Horrible customer service!

Went there Feb 14, Hot Air Balloon Festival. There was a long queue. We patiently waited. Then we heard the manager ask a seated group, "Tapos na ba kayo?" And the group explained they were just waiting for their bill. I understand that due to long queue, you do not encourage people to lounge around when they're already done. But she could've said it in a more courteous manner.
When we were seated, my brother commented, "Toxic po kayo today ah." Manager half-jokingly said, "Pasensya kayo. Gusto ninyo ng masarap na pagkain eh. Maghintay kayo."
I thought half an hour of waiting to be seated was fine. But then it took about an hour for them just to take our order! And that was unacceptable. We weren't annoying. When we said we were ready to order and the wait staff said "sandali lang po", we obliged. We would call another waiter's attention and he would say the same thing. But the son of a celebrity who came in half an hour later than us already had their food served to them. And while the staff couldn't be bothered to take our orders, they were able to grant the request of the celebrity's son to take their photo.
Our drinks never came. They said they lost the paper where our orders were noted down. Lucky for them that we were honest enough to tell them all the dishes that were served.
And no Miss Manager, the food was okay, but certainly not worth the almost 2-hour wait and poor service.

Servings are small!!! Prices are expensive! Not worth it. Not authentic kapangpangan food either. Save your money. Eat somewhere else. We were 6 and our bill was 3k with no VAT and senior discount pa. We ordered the 2-crispy binagoongan, 2-kilain, 1-sisig ,3- paco salad, 1-binulo nasi, 5 rice. Not coming back ever.

Have you ever tried any exotic foods? Well, I had my first in Pampanga with these stuffed batute or “frogs”. A Kapampangan exotic dish - frogs stuffed with ground beef.

These frogs piqued my curiosity so I asked the server to give us one plate as well. After the long wait (the place was jam packed because of the hot air balloon event), these little creatures were served to us. Look at them! They look so yummy. It tastes like chicken and that's it! I was actually expecting a "lansa" or yucky feeling, but there were none. No wonder kids love it!

Paco salad was serve with fresh Paco that was crunchy and soft, shrimp and peanuts, Kare-Kare was creamy and yummy. Chicharon was fried to perfection, FTW. Sisig was so-so. Price 2k for 4 pax. Servers blind 128539, keep on waving my hands for service but they can't see me. BTW, the restaurant is almost empty.

Binulo is pretty much hands down the best general Kapampangan cuisine restaurant in the Angeles City area. I have tried most of them and I have had countless home-cooked meals with my family. This is as close as it gets to the real deal of home-cooked Kapampangan food.

There are places that have better specialties like Abes Farm. And there are places that have entertainment. But this is the place to take the family if you want great food and want your family to really enjoy it and bond over dinner.

A convenient stop after our morning at the 19th Hot Air Balloon Fest. Sunday breakfast was a buffet for only P250. Selections were rice, Longganisa, Tocino, scrambled eggs, fried fish (bangus, danggit), ham, sidings. Service is also efficient, friendly. Their Longganisa was yummy!

Super yummy! Don't miss to try when in clark. Price is ok but serving are quite small. You have to order 2 of each. But everything is delicious! Try the paco salad and the sinampalukang manok cooked in bamboo. Very natural sour taste. For a group of 14 the bill was 3800. No drinks. Rice was around 50p per cup so expect to pay more.

In the photo is stuffed frogs! They have really good capampangan cuisine here! Tried sinugang na salmon, binukadkad na tilapia, Kinilaw na bangus, and sisig during our dinner visit!
