Its a cozy place for a quick lunch but I stayed outside so I can read a good book. I ordered the reuben sandwich for P250 and it comes with a choice of either soup or french fries.

I find their version of the reubens good except for the part of too much sauerkraut 128514 I think the one who prepared it dumped too much on my sandwich overpowering the corned beef.

You did it again Bistro Hill Station. Everything we ordered was excellent. The Beef Kalitiran ala Lengua was tender and delicious. The Reuben was outstanding with generous proportions. The salpicao was excellent. Even the side veggies were very good.

Whether you're a local or a visitor to Baguio, you know that Hill Station is a well-known go-to restaurant when the presidents in your wallet are not ignoring you.

Bistro by Hill Station differs from its predecessor by offering the same quality, but different variety food with a more affordable price. They offer an all-day breakfast (which is always good), Filipino dishes, and aslo deli sandwiches.

Try their Rueben! If not familiar, a Rueben is a simple corned-beef sandwich topped with sauerkraut and cheese. Mind you, this isn't your everyday canned corned-beef. This is USDA fresh corned beef brisket, cooked in spices. The sauerkraut gives it a great contrast to the perfectly seasoned corned beef. This is always my go-to sandwich. :)

Also, when undecided on what to order on their menu, always look at the blackboard located above the counter. There you will find specials offered for that day.

In their specials, they offered grilled salmon with a guava reduction. It was a great dish. The grilled salmon was flaky, at the same time juicy. The guava reduction had a great compliment to the dish.

Oh, if only Camp John Hay Technohub was easily accessible, I'd give Bistro by Hill Station a 5.

This is the tiramisu at bistro. Pretty good and was presented very uniquely. They also serve entrees but pretty expensive, around 300+ per dish.
Good place to hang out and enjoy the cool breeze 128077🏼

Hill Station was the top Baguio restaurant in looloo's 2014 mid-year report.

Although we ended up in Bistro by Hill Station, I guess that's both close and good enough.

It was the first stop in a four-day Baguio sojourn with old and very good friends.

✅ Spanish Chorizo (P230)
with scrambled eggs, home fries, bread, butter, jam

The chorizo was incorporated with the scrambled eggs, something that was unexpected yet welcomed. And the wet scramble (even if I forgot to request for it) was an extra point for them.

What was not welcome was the small serving and saltiness of the dish -- and the fact that I had to order another dish as compensation.

✅ Chili Dog (P220)
choice of home-made sausages: herbed chicken, spicy chorizo poblano, smoked pork sausage

The server who attended to me confidently recommended the spicy chorizo poblano. And it's a good thing I agreed.

The serving size was much bigger this time around, with the seasoning more balanced. The only thing that went overboard were the spices -- thank goodness for that!

The hotdog bun was toasted only yet perfectly on the inside, creating a crunchy crust while the rest retained its soft character. Although I did end up not touching the bread.

I'm sure that the chili was prepared earlier and just heated on order but heated well and properly it was! This is a major pet peeve of mine when it comes to chili dog preparations -- the weiner is hot from the cooking and the chili is under-prioritized and consequently under-heated.

The sausage was the star of this show and deservedly so -- the meat was seasoned well and it tasted fantastic. The aforementioned spices resulted in fireworks in my mouth. A celebration indeed, this dish was.

If this is a sign of things to come Baguio, then bring it on!

We went to Baguio during Holy Week. Surprisingly less people went there this year than last year.

I ordered their spicy chorizo linguini. It was spicy alright! Didn't see or taste any chorizo though. The serving was huge. I wasn't able to finish it.

Service was okay, the servers were friendly. It sucked that some of the dishes we want to order wasn't available. But will definitely visit again.

Great food, good location, beautiful view, not a big place & so always packed

My faves ... Gising gising , slow cooked roast beef(the best) , wild boar, lamb stew (not sure if the name )lasagne were all amazing must try dishes... Perfectly seasoned , crisp for veggie dishes, tender & savory for the meat dishes , creamy & al dente fie the pasta dishes

Burger , curry , fish fillet rice bowl (not sure again with the exact name)were just okay... Overshadowed by the dishes mentioned above

Good coffee. Delicious tiramisu and deep dark chocolate cake. Service was great too. Although it was too early for them to take in customers they still entertained us. Was so happy coz every other establishment in the area turned us away. Will definitely come back.
