I was craving for some late lunch/afternoon snack after having having a really long nap. I was walking around the national highway but had to stop because of the heavy rain; good thing I saw the white-walled restaurant of Bistro Coron along the fork road separating the highway from the road going to the public market.

I initially wanted to get a sausage or salami sandwich but both weren’t available (hence the 4 stars), and settled for a bacon sandwich in french baguette instead. Like most of the restaurants here in Coron, serving time takes around 20-30 minutes. When the food arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by how the bread tasted crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. I’m guessing they make their own breads also?
I’d go back and try their main entrees soon, but definitely, their sandwiches can be your no-brainer meals when in Coron.

Ate pizza here. It's not bad for a pizza place in Coron. It actually tastes good. The place is quite hot but if you're hungry, you wouldn't really mind.

A must-eat place in Coron Town! The pizza was so good I'm using exclamation points!! Tenderloin steak wasn't so bad either! I think everything we ordered here came out tasting great. Bonus points for being reasonably priced11088

The cuisine is a little confusing, but who cares really when they cook everything well anyway. Might have to improve the presentation a little bit though, none of my pictures came out Instagram-friendly 128539 and maybe just make the interiors (and exteriors?) a little more inviting--honestly did not seem like a place where they served good food when I saw it... So don't judge a restaurant by it's dingy cover 128584

After a tiring island hopping, my friend brought us here to have dinner. We order pizza for everyone and for myself i have tenderloin steak. We are all impressed with the quality of the food.
The service is quiet slow though but were still willing to wait for their yummy steak and seafood pizza. 128077128077128077

Simple. Fresh. Delicious.

Ahh! Their tuna steak was remarkable.
It may look so simple but it has an awesome kick that will make your day shine so bright!

It was the best tuna steak of my life.

The food is a must try, most of it is American. If you love pasta or pizza, well dig into this place. Though last night one of the guest commented the place smells like piss, don't know where its coming, just don't sit near the entrance coz it smells like a piss there.

This has long been overdue and I would like to thank Looloo for adding this french bistro.9786

I think it's french but I'm a bit confused coz I remember they also had an american breakfast. We went here about 3 years or so ago. We had our dinner, our after-dinner, and our breakfast here. I even had a pizza taken out before our flight! That's how much I loved the food at Bistro Coron.

After our whole day of swimming and jumping from island to island, we freshened up and went to this place. We heard it has the best pizza and what-nots, So naturally we ordered Steak 128513128540(photo above) with fries, and another kind of steak, and pasta.

Pizza? Yeah, that too. Plus imported beer.128513

When our food arrived, it was presented in a somewhat greek-y plate. The plating wasn't impressive but what can you expect from a small hole-in-the-wall kinda resto situated by the side of the road where you can hear constant rumbling of triclycles passing by with cramped up sweaty mixed foreigners having fun with each of their groups?

My steak was done as I requested it --- medium well. I usually don't like gravy on my steak but I made an exception on this one because it was really good. It complemented well the flavor and tenderness of the meat. The fries was the kind of fries you make at home and I liked it as well because it gave me the feeling of eating in a rustic, non-commercial place which generally small authentic restos make you feel. I can't remember how my pasta tasted but I do remember that I loved my pizza margherita! After dinner, we downed 2 rounds of beer and asked for our bill. To our surprise, our bill only amounted to Php600+!

And since we loved our dinner so much, we agreed to eat our breakfast there before we left for our flight. We had an american breakfast which was equally good and which we enjoyed along with the other foreigners who were obviously pleased with their food too. And since we really loved the pizza, we ordered a large one to go.... And it didn't even reach Manila! 128540

Bistro Coron is not the kind of french-y/italian-y authentic resto we'll normally find here in the metro but the food definitely tasted like one (Authentic I mean).

I recon it won't be the most excellent french/italian resto if you placed it here in Manila but since it was in Palawan, it, hands-down, beats all the other food places there. 128077
