Onto the quest to find the BEST Tiramisu, based on my humble taste buds, I came across Bizu. Now, Bizu is known to deliver not only gorgeous cakes and pastries but deliciously sinful as well. I know that the price tag is up there but anything for Tiramisu! LOL

Asked the hubby to go to St. Lukes BGC to get me the smallest Tiramisu in Bizu and if he's feeling extra yaman, I also asked for a slice from Mary Grace! #abusado Unfortunately, Mary Grace didn't have any available.

I was giddy as a child when I heard hubby's keys clanking as he opened our front door! Holding a pretty box from Bizu, I grabbed it right away! A little surprised that the Tiramisu was so small! For 325Php, man, this better be worth it! Unlike most Tiramisu that comes in slices, this one was a tiny cake on it's own. Garnished so well with a thin chocolate curl, half a Macaron and a white chocolate thin square - it was too gorgeous to eat! No mercy though since I needed to know right away if it's delicious, I took a shy portion because this tiny cake can be inhaled in a second!

The cream was soft but firm enough to hold it's shape. It was more airy and icing like than creamy thick. It was the first time that I tasted cream cheese in a Tiramisu cream. It was a little odd to be honest. The cream cheese flavor was strong vs the mascarpone. The cake layers were rather too thin and overall, it was too sweet! The first few shy bites were okay but got cloying after a while. One thing I liked though was the coffee kick but there wasn't any liquor hint in it even though the description in their website states that they used coffee liqueur.

For 325Php, around 2.5 inches x 1.5 inches in size, it was just okay plus it's too expensive for the portion!

When you look at your food photos on your phone and you can't remember what they were hahaha. I think this one was the cookies and cream macaron and the double chocolate macaron??? All I know is they were expensive! 65/70 pesos each. And you just quickly pop them in your mouth.

I can't imagine how the Laduree macarons must taste like! These were good though!

I also got their breakfast platter - it's the one with longganisa, bangus, tocino, and eggs. Pretty filling! But the longganisa wasn't very good.

This branch is always packed esp during lunch time! I went late in the afternoon though so there were maybe about 3 other tables occupied. Service was good!

Jolie sugarless and flourless chocolate Kahlua mousse cake with hazelnuts and special chiboust cream..

Biz Patisserie cakes are not inexpensive. But, like I often say, when the quality justifies the price, I don’t mind paying premium. And Bizu cakes are definitely worth their price tags.(late post)

While waiting for my doctor we decided to hv lunch here ... Staffs are so nice & helpful .. Table height & distance between tables are perfect for patients like me on wheelchairs to be able to move around without much trouble.
Complimentary basket of warm bread & butter was a nice starter...

Le Grand Manille , everything on it....like buffet breakfast with tapa, tocino , longganisa, & bangus served with garlic rice, ur choice of eggs & tomatoes... serving size is definitely for 2-3

Ailing tea ... My fave blend of sencha green tea and oolong with Hints of currant & vanilla loose tea leaves.

L'Alsacienne .. Another version of the classic egg Ben with prosciutto Parma ham and the oh so perfect poached egg on signature brioche toast ... In love with the golden yellow runny goo topped with hollandaise sauce and a grilled vaudoise sausage on the side for a filling & scrumptious lunch for the go!!!

A few days after my recent visit to my doctor, I went here again. 128514 Whenever I go to see my doctor, I make it a point to stop by here at Bizu and buy macarons or their truffles. I bought a box of four truffles for 255php and one piece of blueberry macaron. 128156

Oh yea, I kept the receipt so I could give the exact names of the truffles. 128514 I had each of (from leftmost truffle to the right) Macadamia Honey, Rose Champagne, Hazelnut Croq, and Tiramisu.

127855 Macadamia Honey 127855

It is a chocolate ganache. Both the coating and filling were a little bitter.

127801 Rose Champagne 127801

This one is the white chocolate. All white chocolate is a favorite of mine. Wasn't that impressed tho.

127792 Hazelnut Croq 127792

This one is definitely my favorite among the truffles. I like hazelnut. 128076 The coating was soft and it's texture was good. It's like the hazelnut was finely chopped.

127851 Tiramisu 127851

The tiramisu was also bitter. I was expecting a lot but it wasn't that good for me. The coating was hard also.

If I'm going to rank them, it'll be...

This is the 10 Hour Roast Beef. So soft and melty. It doesn't look as good as it tastes, but it is good! M had the Salmon, which was good too. The mashed potato this came with complemented the beef perfectly.

We've added going to the doctor as part of our "to-do" list in the last 6 months. Bizu has been our breakfast/lunch/coffee/dessert venue at St Luke's. We've tried most of the menu But top on the list are:
Le gran Manille for a really hearty meal
Mixed Ravioli for a light meal
Old fashioned oatmeal for a healthy brekkie
And when the day is stressful -Strawberry cake
If the place is full, head out to the main lobby as Bizu is the concessionaire there.
I wonder where the doctors eat as the patrons are usually visitors.
You can also people watch here, on a particularly busy day, Manila's richest were all here. With body guards, yayas, children in tow.
