NEW MACARON FLAVOR ALERT! 128680

I've loved macarons ever since I was a little kid, when the daughter of my mom's boss introduced me to them. Bizu used to have a space in Glorietta 4 and that's where I'd buy my macarons. I remember they used to cost Php25 per piece. Now the regular flavors cost Php75. 128517 But what I love most about them is that they've stayed the same all these years.

After dinner last night, I walked over to Bizu to get myself some macarons. I was planning to try the Salted Duck Egg one but I saw that they have new seasonal flavors available, the Floral Summer collection! A macaron from this collection costs Php85.

I tried the Violette, which is a black tea-flavored macaron with violette petals, milk chocolate ganache, and sour Cassis jelly. I took a bite and my mind started screaming, "YOU'RE EATING A FLOWER! YOU'RE EATING A FLOWER!" HAHAHAHA The floral taste was so strong. It was all I could smell and taste for a moment. And then I took another bite and whew. The jelly and chocolate finally appeared. I actually really like the flavor combination!

I also tried the Rose, which has rose jelly, white chocolate ganache, and dark chocolate crisp. I prefer this one more since the floral taste was subtle and the rose went so well with the chocolate!

Other flavors in the collection include the Jasmine (Jasmine tea-infused with lime zest ganache and mango compote), Ylang Ylang, and Orange Blossom!

What happened to the quality of food of Bizu? Everything we ordered were either just okay or below average. Croque monsieur was forgettable and not hot enough when served, prosciutto pasta was just okay, French toast was so-so and finally, the salad- didn't like it. The chicken in it was dry. Disappointed as I was expecting great food.

Had breakfast at Bizu and ordered their salmon omelette and a cup of hot chocolate. You can already tell from the picture that the dish was overcooked - from the eggs to the salmon itself. The egg was very dry and was burnt stuck to the skillet. The salmon was also quite dried out from being overcooked. Service took a bit of time as well that several of my companions had to verbalize it. It wasn't a very pleasant breakfast experience for me this time around.

Only place open at 10 am in GB so my friend and I decided to have breakfast here. I got the French toast which came with your choice of hot chocolate or coffee. Got the hot choco of course. Lol
A little pricey for breakfast but worth it! They also have pastries if you want to take them out and give to your friends. 128512

One of the prettiest and cutest restaurant I've tried is the Bizu Patisserie. With its elegant and feminine touch interior comes with a great food too.

We had a mid-night snack before the end of its business operation on that day.

We had Wild Mushroom Tartine for Php285.00, Raspberry Italian Soda for Php155.00 and Watermelon Melon Shake for Php155.00.

Wild Mushroom Tartine (Cream Cheese, Wild Mushroom Ragout and Mozarella Cheese) - 1108811088110881108811088️ 5/5

I love and have always loved Bizu!
Excited and extremely satisfied about their tea time set! We had vanilla tea, which comes with scones, sandwiches and macarons 128523128523128523 i love their egg sandwich, however simple it may sound and the macarons! 10084️ i never really liked macarons as they're too sweet but Bizu's was tasty and moderately sweet - perfect for tea time 128077🏻

For foodies who enjoy Salted Egg infused pastries, Bizu's new Salted Duck Egg Macarons will surely tickle your sweet tooth.

I am loving Bizu's new Macaron flavor. The note of the salted egg yolk nicely melds into the delicate pastry giving it a lovely salty kick without overpowering the sweetness. Each nibble brings a yummy balance of sweet and salty flavor nicely matched with the creamy filling and the lightly nutty Macaron pastry.

Bizu's special Macaron flavor is priced at php 65 each (higher than their regular variants). Highly recommended to foodies who fancy Macarons and those who enjoy salted egg infused pastries.

Ciabatta heaven! This is a must try! Especially if you love bread! Pop this in the oven toaster for a few minutes and you're good!

If you happen to be here after 4pm, their breads are at 40% off!

P80.50 for the whole wheat ciabatta and P70 for the classic one. Personally, I like the whole wheat Ciabatta.

After dinner we were looking for a coffee or dessert place, 30% discount tag in front of bizu caught my eye so we went inside but theres no table available but its okay since today was bizus macaron day, so when i bought 1 pc macaron, i was then given 2 pcs for free. 128522128522128522 hooray. And that was less than P20 per pc. 128516

My boyfriend ordered the 12 different flavoured truffle chocolate for me this valentines. I just have to give it a review because it tastes so good!

Each chocolate tastes differently namely:
Tiramisu, Spearmint, Sesame and Coffee, Rose Champagne, Roca, Raspberry Vodka, Orangine, Hazel, Cinammon and Carmadon, Carmella, Calamansi Zig, Arabella, Antoinette, Macadamia Honey, Dominique

Favorite picks:
Dominique (Sugarless Dark Choco, Ganache, Dark Choco couverture)
Antoinette (Pistachio Cream, White Chocolate Ganache, White Choco Couverture, Crushed Pistachio)
Rose Champagene (Rose Champagne, Dark chocolate Ganache, White Chocolate Couverture)

Price: P780 for a box of 12
This cost too much for a box of chocolates. But since it's a truffle chocolate, I guess that's fine.
I probably won't buy one for myself but it's a nice gift for a special someone who loves chocolates!

P65 per piece
P390 box of 6
P780 box of 12

Overall Rating: 5/5
Eating this feels luxurious. Every bite tastes like Gold seriously!

I am not much for delayed gratification - if I were part of that marshmallow experiment I would have failed it spectacularly. But this morning I managed to wait until after mass (I got up at 645, too early for me!) to have a leisurely special breakfast.

Bizu has a lot of breakfast options, even some Filipino classic breakfast fare. This time I had the crab cake, which I loved for appetizer. The breakfast portion is soooo huge - equivalent to maybe 2 of the appetizer portions! It's even bigger than the typical burger patty!  The poached egg on top is cooked just right. This set comes with a side salad and a cup of fruit, to break up the monotony of  the fried food.

The breakfast sets also come with your choice of hot drink if you ordered it by 11am. This time I picked a hot chocolate espresso - chocolatey goodness condensed into an espresso cup. The crema is so lipsmackingly good.

Service is good here though it is hard to call for a waiter sometimes. And it does get cold, so better bring a jacket or shawl, or better yet pick a seat away from the aircon.  The garden seats are great at night when it's not too hot anymore.

Had the "le grande manille". Woah mama. Large serving, excellent quality. Kids enjoyed their pancakes and bacon. Didn't realize they served breakfast, but pleasantly surprised. Quality food, but expect to pay premium for it.

Rainy days made me wanna crave for sweets instead of noodles or soup! My friend and I went to Bizu for our dessert fix and to actually try their macarons! (as for my own purpose) 128513

My friend got one of their best-selling cakes called Opera, while I got 3 varieties of macarons such as Pistachio macaron, Salted caramel macaron & Dulce de leche macaron.

Each macarons are meticulously prepared for that perfect crunchiness, softness and chewiness; and then filled with outstanding flavors that will surely tickle your palate. I, especially like the salted caramel one which has been my favorite flavor among pastries and ice cream. A little pricey but it was all worth it! 128522

The opera cake is said to be their take on Tiramisu. It has a strong chocolate taste which makes it not too sweet and tolerable, in my opinion. It has been my friend's all-time favorite dessert among every cake he tried in Bizu.

I really liked their macarons and looking forward to trying this out again soon.

Had the classic French onion soup. Their profit margins must be huge since they charge so much for a soup made with bread, onion and cheese but boy do they make it really delicious :)
